We believe this pandemic hit tourism industry really hard, including this property. Let's start from the check in process. It was quite normal. He asked for my ID card and to sign a paper and put my phone number. Then he gave me a paper with breakfast menu written in it. I could choose what to eat for breakfast. I thought the breakfast will be buffet, but he said they're not allowed to held a buffet due to the pandemic. Then he offered me a twin bed room due to my double room not ready yet which I refused. I waited for several minutes before my room was ready. In the check in process, he told me that their key card is in maintenance, so we would be escorted by security to our room. The key card would be delivered to our room later, they said. I didn't get any key card until my check out time. At the room, around 14:00 I asked for an extra pillow which they agreed to send to my room. I asked several times after my initial request. I didn't get any pillow until check out time. Around 16:30 I realized the AC didn't work really well, it blew wind, no cold existed. I asked to move to another room which they refused but will send a technician to check. I waited for 30ish minutes to remind that I was waiting for the technician. He came in 10minutes. The temperature check, the AC blew 26 Celsius wind. The technician asked me to wait for about 1 hour. I decided to go out for dinner. After dinner, there was no difference for room temperature. I insisted for a room change then they decided to upgrade my room to a twin royal (even though I requested for a double bed), to stay sane in a well temp room was more important at that moment. This room MUCH better than the other room. MUCH cleaner then the first one. The temperature was better, not significant, but livable. Breakfast. When I got menu list and returned it to the receptionist, I assumed it will be delivered to my room. I called the receptionist in the morning to realize the breakfast held in the restaurant. The receptionist DID NOT tell me during check in. The food: It was the saddest food I could imagine to be given to any person. I couldn't distinguish between toast and French toast. The porridge and fruit platters was ok. Fruit platters consisted of 1 piece of melon and 2 pieces of watermelon. I know it's not an easy time for tourism industry. I have stayed in several properties during this pandemic, some properties also did cost cutting in several part such as TV cable and breakfast selection, but nothing worst than this one. If you can't deliver your best service, please, don't offer it to you guest. Please consider to fix your service before offer it to your guests.

We have been staying for 2 months in the Royal Club Suite. The suite is very spacious and cleaned twice a day. In the afternoon we were able to enjoy 'high tea' in the Royal Club lounge. Breakfast is extensive and was served in the Green House Restaurant. The hotel has also a exclusive chinese restaurant (Ming Court). This restaurant is among others known for its wel-known dimsum. Preparing dishes without MSG is no problem for the chef. The taste of the food is excellent. All staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, making you feel at home very quickly. In the evenings 5 days a week you can enjoy live music in the Curabaya lounge We will definitely come back to this hotel next year and this will be an anniversary visit as we have been visiting this hotel for 10 consecutive years.

Old fashioned hotel located in surabaya downtown. Due to surabaya construction project in yos sudarso, we need to have extra effort to get to the hotel. Old ambience room. Front desk not too friendly.

I was booked thematic room thru Traveloka. I didn't think that I got Japan Room, bcoz I didn't know they have Japan Room before. Huge room with bathub, nice room actually. Unfortunatelly the bathroom was so bad, especially the shower.

Hotel is very good special in the lounge.rooms are clean Nice view. Service at entrance and check Inn counter was very good and helpfull. The restaurant off the hotel is good but the creativity of the products was more azian then westerns. The Chinees restaurant in the hotel was good. In overall the service of personel is very good. So we will come again.
