This place has nothing to do anymore with Family. Uninterested staff at the desk who are not willing to help. The room was loosing paint everywhere and the window view had bricks and plastic bottles everywhere. Breakfast was ok but they tried to charge 50.000 for a broken small plate. No way we paid

The Guesthouse is in a smaal side road from Jl Kertajaya. If you are on Jl Kertajaya, coming from Jl Menur, than it's the second road on your left. Family Guest House is indicated. There are rooms with a kingsize bed and twin rooms. Bathroom with cold and warm water. Walls and doors need repainting. Airco, wifi and breakfast included....

We recently stayed for 2 nights at Family Guesthouse. The staff are all lovely. As previous reviews have stated, the staff don't speak much English so communication can be a little problematic but they will all help as much as they can. We were always greeted with a smile by the two guys at reception and the girls who served...

Although we didn't like Surabaya itself very much, this guest house was an excellent place to stay. Clean rooms, basic but good enough breakfast and friendly staff. The only thing is that it is located quite a bit outside the old town centre (20 minutes by cab for about 40 000 IDR).

I had two times in this place. The price wasn't too expensive, and the room is good for take some rest. Toilet also good. Big enough for me. The minus was it placed at housing. So I need more time to find it. And it needs more car parking area. 'cause in the weekend parking area is full. So I...

We were very pleased to find the Family Guesthouse in Surabaya. It is situated in a quiet, residential area off one of the main roads (Jl Kertajaya) in Surabaya, a few kms from Gubeng station (15 000 Rp by meter taxi from the station) where we arrived from Yogyakarta, and so it is not noisy at all. It is run...

This hotel is really a little gem. We paid 300 000 Rp For a price which just fitted into our flashpacker budget we had an exceptionnally clean & comfortable room by Indonesian standards. The AC & Wifi worked very well, and the staff were exceptionally attentive providing excellent service. The only point to be aware of is that the staff...

We booked via Agoda for triple sharing & we stayed just 1 night in this hotel as an overnight stop en-route to East Java tour (Bromo, Semeru & Ijen). It was a little difficult to find the hotel since it was nestled in a nice residential area not too far from the city. It is good value for money although...

Overall this guest house is nice, the staff are friendly, they're fast. Cleaned room and mineral water everyday. The main problem is the price, for USD 30 per night, I think it's too high, it would be better if they're lower the price. I ever stayed on other guest house in Surabaya with much cheaper rate and almost same quality...

“It's slightly nicer to be on the first floor, more convenient for the restaurant, and according to the owners cooler & more light. PS don't expect a view from any of the rooms as there are buildings either side.”

“Not much difference in the rooms since they are mainly located on the first floor - walk up the stairs from lobby. The rooms are relatively quiet since the hotel is located in a residential area with not too many cars.”
