Room is spacious and bathroom is shower only. Breakfast is very simple but good. The area around the hotel is upscale Malang with Ijen Boulevard is just couple meters from our hotel. Access to Malang center is just around the corner. - Azmi F4 contributionsits just GREAT!First time stay in malang for vacation, this place is absolutely great, with a great price, great location and also the great staff. the price is affordable for a comfortable room and very clean. the location is nice you can go to Malang townsquare only like 10 mins, 5 mins to Stadium, walk for like 5 mins you can enjoy the streetfood. the staff is friendly, and helpful. and maybe for you who like smoking, you cant smoke in the room, because they wanna to keep the room clean, they only allowed in the terrace but its fine because the terrace so nice. the staff very helpful they help you with travel and accomodation. well done kertanegara guest house.Thank you so much for your kind review. The hotel was nice and located near a supermarket (Ranch Market) and a restaurant (Marugame Udon). Unfortunately on our first night the AC was not working properly which makes the room humid, but the hotel staff were very helpfull and provide us with another room until the AC was fixed.

We stayed overnight at Kertanegara an our room is two twin beds good enough to accommodate four of us. Room is spacious and bathroom is shower only. Breakfast is very simple but good. The area around the hotel is upscale Malang with Ijen Boulevard is just couple meters from our hotel. Access to Malang center is just around the corner. Close to restaurants and food stalls, variety of culinary choice. Well kept property and amenities. Good service. Complimentary, coffee and tea, at certain times of the day. Flexible choice of room size. Quick response on our request. Recommend place to stay. One weakness is the noise from vehicles passing out side the property.

After several trips to Malang staying at various hotels, I chanced upon Kertanegara Guest House on Traveloka. I was not expecting much given the relatively low price of the room, however, my impressions changed the moment I walked in to the premises. I was greeted by a most friendly receptionist who was able to address all of my questions and provide me information about the hotel and its facilities. When I asked for directions to my meeting destination, she even able to suggest to me where it was safe to cross the busy main road of Idjen and offered for the Security to accompany me to cross the road. Simply Amazing! The entire building might look like someone's house but inside, the room was impressively large and equipped with all the amenities one would expect from a proper hotel. While the rooms are non-smoking areas, they have conveniently provided seats and an ash bin in the expansive and well ventilated common corridors. I only stayed 2 nights and did not try out the breakfast, but from all the happy smiley faces I saw at the dining area, I'm sure it must have been good. As for location, it is centrally located near Idjen Boulevard close to eateries, malls, tourist sites, a supermarket and pharmacy. A surprise find for me, but I will certainly make this my choice hotel on my next visit.…

Strategic place, clean lobby and room, very good overall but a bit pricey. Smells good. Friendly staff, helpful. For a guest house get *3 is perfect. Talk about price, it's a bit pricey without promo and didn't get breakfast too for the cheaper room
