Very disappointed about this accommodation. Small dark room with just a mattress on the floor. Nowhere to put your clothes. No bed-lights. Very expensive for what you get. Location close to the temple, but cannot recommend this place.

The room is small but cozy. Literally a mattress on the floor but it's enough. We stayed here one night to do the sunrise visit to Borobudur. The temple is not even 10 minutes away. The ensuite shower and toilet were very nice and clean. After the temple visit we stayed by the pool, which we had all for ourselves.

We have stayed 2 nights here in February. And the house is just 3-4 mins bike to Borobudur, which made it quite convenient! The cottage is very basic with two mattresses. And our one at the back which just next to the swimming pool, and can see a large piece of rice field from the window. Nice view! It had...

The place perfect for honeymoon or people who love quiet on (nearly) remote areas. It's really close to Borobudur temple and suits for people who will be arriving in Borobudur to see sunrises, or departing late to see prayers. The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Definitely will be back again.

We met people on the road who recommended Amrta guesthouse. The owner picked us up from the trainstation in his cool vw bus. The room/little houses were cosy and nice, with a matress on the ground. We did the sunrise tour, which was ok but really touristic on the mountain. The guide also took us to a pottery, which was...

This is our 3rd visit to Borobudur. The previous visit was about 4 years ago and we stayed at the Manohara hotel. We liked the close proximity to Borobudur at Manohara hotel, but with the risen room rates and the old & dated rooms of Manohara, we decided to choose somewhere else to stay instead. We chose Amrta because 1)...

We enjoyed our stay here very much. It is quite close to the temple but a bit of a walk in the heat. For younger people, no problem. The staff were very attentive, friendly and extremely polite. The proprietor organised our entry into Borobudur and two other day tours with guide and transport at a reasonable price...really enjoyed the tours....

“There are a few little Indonesian style bungalows with a bathroom, air con and a mattress on the floor....strictly for sleeping. Relax in the sitting area or by the pool. I would take the one farthest from the noisy road. We stayed in a small, furnished room upstairs in a brick building. The traffic noise died down at night and did not disturb our sleep.”
