The room was really spacious and the aircon worked really well. The staff are lovely and helpful, they will bring a hairdryer to your room if you need one and the room was cleaned every day! The pool was lovely but there’s only 6 sunbeds so some days we struggled to get one. The location is excellent as it’s just off a busy street which was perfect for us. Breakfast is also really nice.
Only downside was the walls are very thin and we could hear the staff walking around from 7am with walkie talkies and could also hear everything in other rooms / outside of our room.

We stayed for 6 nights as we used Ubud as a hub to explore the northern part of the island. The hotel is in a prime location for restaurants and bars in Ubud.
Room was spacious and clean with the usual amenities you’d expect (hairdryer, toiletries, tea and coffee etc)
The staff were very accommodating and you could organise services such as scooter hire, laundry and excursions through the hotel if you wish.
Breakfast is a short walk from reception (less than 50m) which was tasty with a good variety of choice.
Would definitely recommend and return

We spent 10 nights at Meruhdani, we had a superior deluxe and a deluxe room. The deluxe room was on the single-story side and had a balcony overlooking the pool. The superior deluxe room was just around the corner from pool and had a bath, both rooms were larger than pictured online and clean, only slight issue was the beds were on the very firm side, though wasn't a problem for just 10 days . WIFI worked OK though I used data roaming most of the time as there were no connection issues. Breakfast was off the menu, small though filling. If you require a very large breakfast there are many cafe's within a 2 minute walk. There are restaurants of all types of cuisine and the hotel is situated in the middle of town, though set back and very quiet. We will defiantly stay here again. nice quiet location and friendly staff.

We chose this hotel because of its convenient location in the center of Ubud. We booked a deluxe room with a garden view, which turned out to be a view of a fence with some bamboos and bushes that were supposed to cover the fence. The room and bathroom were spacious. Unfortunately, the bathroom door didn't close properly, as did one of the cabinets. Moreover, it was too dark in the bathroom, the mirror was dimly lit, which made daily facial care difficult. The room was clean and everything looked OK at first glance, but the bedding was not washed, there were yellow stains on the pillowcases and the pillow itself stank of sweat. The refrigerator in the cupboard made loud humming noises, so we had to turn it off at night to fall asleep. The garden is small, but charming and well-kept. The swimming pool is sandwiched between a two-story building and a row of bungalows. There is little space to relax around. We only had contact with the staff during check-in and check-out from the hotel, because we only spent nights here. Breakfasts are spent on vouchers at a nearby cafe. The selection is large, but the portions are small. The coffee is delicious. Basically, we cannot recommend this hotel for a holiday or romantic stay. As a base it is ok.

Meruhdani is a lovely boutique hotel run by lovely team, We loved the location as it was quite central to Ubud centre (approx 10 mins walk to Ubud Art Market & Ubud Palace), yet once you are in the hotel complex, it felt like a peaceful sanctuary. Lots of warung and restaurants around the hotel and the hotel itself, has its Semujaen restaurant which served up breakfast and yummy dished for lunch and dinner. Also, lots of nice spas within 5 mins walk from the hotel.
We booked 3 different rooms and all of them were clean and adequately furnished. TV channels were more than adequate with multinational channels. AC worked well cooling the rooms. The housekeeping team did great job with their daily cleaning. The only small area where they could improve a bit more was probably the lighting in all the bathrooms that were really too dim and the water pressure was too weak in all the rooms. Also, small(face) towels were only provided on Day 1. From Day 2 onwards, they removed them and only set the rooms with 2 standard bath towels. When requested for the small towels, the staff advised that the small towels were only for arrival. A bit of a strange policy for a hotel as such. Nonetheless, they gladly provided us the small towels whenever we requested for them each day.
All the staff were really warm, friendly and lovely. We were always greeted with smiles whenever we walked pass them.

This place felt like home. It was our very first hotel in Bali and it didn't disappoint.
The hotel is situated on Jalan Bisma- a long road which has plenty of little shops and restaurants worth exploring. It's about a 10-15min walk to the Ubud Art market on one side and monkey forest on the other making it an ideal central location.
Our room was very spacious with plenty of storage space. The staff is really helpful and friendly. We mainly dealt with Mel and Mita whose smiling faces always cheered us up. There is no restaurant in the hotel but they have partnered up with two restaurants- Pukako and ikigai next door for breakfast, lunch and dinner for the guests.
We stayed in Merhudani twice during our 5 week trip and wanted to come here for our third stay too. However, this time it was sold out.
If you want a comfortable, clean and a budget friendly stay Meruhdani is just the place.

Stayed 2 nights in a standard double room at ground floor (beside the swimming pool). Upon entering the room, realised the aircon was not working well - the aircon flap was not able to swing and was targetted on the floor instead of the bed. As I checked in late, was told this was the last room as they were fully booked. In the end, the staff had to stick a tissue inside to hold the flap up. And thereafter I was not able to off the aircon at all.
Other than the above, the stay was quite ok abeit the room floor abit sticky when walking bare-footed but ok for me as I brought my own bedroom slipper (not provided by hotel)
The hotel is located in a convenient location with plenty of eateries in the surrounding.
Btw, there's a super friendly dog - Camel!

Excellent location off really busy street but still have to be vigilant walking as lots of traffic. Meruhdani is a very pleasant hotel but sadly it is not very clean, especially the bed linen. Needs some updating & little care. Pool area is fabulous. The staff are lovely & pleasant very helpful too. They are affiliated with the restaurant Pukako 2 doors down which is excellent, had the free breakfast as part of staying at Meruhdani, could not fault it.

We had 2 seperate rooms, both booked as “standard” but the experience differed greatly. It would appear they are slowly renovating and for future bookings the nicer of our ‘standard’ rooms is now labeled as a superior.
One of our rooms was in the 3 story block. You had to walk past other peoples rooms on the balcony to get to yours - no privacy. Aircon smelled terrible, leaked, was very inefficient. Bathroom was awful, shower head was attached to the wall about 30cm too low (and I’m only 5’5) and was loose. You had to climb into the bathtub up some stairs which were slippery. Typical of tile floors and wooden furniture you can hear your neighbours when they decide to re arrange the room at 6am. The doors to the room and the bathroom are sliding and heavy the bathroom door wouldn’t stay open, so would crash shut behind you. Once your neighbours are up, you’re up type stuff. 2/10
The other room was on a ground level block over looking the pool, had much newer and better quality fixtures, aircon that worked and didn’t smell and best of all, no one is living above you. Bathroom fairly average but better than the other room. 8/10
Breakfast was simple but good. Great location, staff are friendly. I would recommend staying here but only in the renovated rooms.
Overall it’s been an average stay. Had we only had 1 room and it was the bad one my review would be a lot worse. If it was the ‘superior’ room then my review would match everyone else’s.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It has a great location which is walkable to Everything yet set down a quiet lane which was very peaceful. The room was nice and tidy and had a great patio to relax on. Breakfast was really really good, too! The hotel has a super friendly dog that would hang out with us as well. Great price and value for the area
