We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre and enjoyed exploring the local coffee shops and restaurants near to resort. Central pool, day beds and open air restaurant were great and staff always polite and helpful. One suggestion for improvement would be a fan in bathroom and access to Foxtel on TV.

Good location in walking distance to the Ubud Market!

Staff was friendly & ready to help!

Room is clean & well equipped!

Food at breakfast could be improved & pay more attention (in my own opinion) since it's so limited (without basic egg options that we could find in every hotels from 3* resort above).

Would be back cause of the location & good for budget. Thank you.

Are you looking for a comparatively cheaper place in Ubud to stay? Just go ahead and book Y Resort. I booked a superior room with double bed including breakfast for approximately 40 USD per night (After tax). This resort has a nice clean pool and a very quiet and peaceful ambience. Very lose to the Ubud center, the typical bike fare for commute in 25,000 IDR. Shuttle service is available for pick and drop to Ubud Center. Staffs are very friendly and polite. They have an in house trained therapist for massage and therapy. Massage price is not too high compared to the local Spas.

Lousy expensive new place. Not worth it. The place is about 25-30 min walk from an isolated location on a hill in Penestanan district/village into Ubud center. Yes, they have a free shuttle, but it is not reliable....it didn't show up a few times as scheduled.

Bathrooms had a foul smell. Staff are ok, but lack passion or efficiency....a whole bunch of them (3-4) gather around an event/issue...making the guest feel very uncomfortable. Suggestion: Separate the staff into different tasks: 1 for check-in, one for guest services, baggage, etc.

We stayed at Y Resort for 6 nights, prepaid otherwise I probably would have moved to another hotel/villa. It is a very convenient location for going to yoga and nice vegetarian restaurants, out of the main area of Ubud. The price was cheap (I have stayed in nicer places for less), however it is a very run down resort and needs a refresh. But the main concern was they have a big issue with mould in all the rooms, you can tell they've tried to clean it away but it's stained on the desk chairs, curtains, and the distinctive smell in the rooms. They haven't built in good ventilation and I got sick while staying there, due to the mould. So if that's an issue for you, stay somewhere else.

This brand new hotel is a perfect example of what is killing Ubud...The owner has an obvious goal to park as many tourists in as little space as possible and make as much money possible... The rooms overlooking the very busy road are simply so noisy that it will make you think you are sleeping on a motorway of the ouskirts of a busy metropole and surely not on holiday in the charming peaceful Ubud.. Everything in the hotel is cheap disguised in fake fancy... the hotel amenities have this chemical disgusting strawberry smell hidden in a fancy nice bottle but it does not fool anyone... same with the fruit juices at beakfast obviously bought in a cheap supermarket but put in nice jars... The building work had just been completed but you could already see damp humidity stains in the stuffy bathroom...the walls are so thin that even if you are lucky enough to be in the quieter part of the hotel away from the road, you will have the immense joy of hearing your neighbours talk, pee, caugh, watch tv or do anything else you can do in a room... This is a badly run project, quickly put together to get the dollars flowing, badly built, badly put together.. stay away from this place

We stayed here for 3 nights in sept and were pleasantly surprised. It's certainly a great place to stay for the price you pay. It was very tranquil and we felt very relaxed staying here. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They offered a shuttle at various times of the day to the centre of Ubud which was good, it is within walking distance though if you don't mind walking 20 mins or so. Breakfast was okay, could have had more variety and much of the food was often covered in flies which was off putting. Pool was great. All in all the place was lovely and we would stay here again.

Stayed for one night with a friend, found a good price on the Internet.

We were picked up from town, welcome drinks on arrival and bags taken to our room.

There is a free shuttle to and from town that finishes at 2120 pickup.

The breakfast is standard but filling, the pool is nice and lots of lounges. (Could open till a little later though)

The wifi isn't bad, can be a bit patchy but not a big deal.

Overall definitely a place I'd come back to.

We were here for a little 3 days and 2 night vacation. The place was good and well maintained. Staff was so nice as well. Everything went well until we woke up in the morning and realize that the place was filled with tourism students that were there for internship. There were like literally 100 hundred of them. They sit at the lobby area, also by the pool as well as three gazebos that was provided for the guest. They were loud and annoying. We were woken up by the noice at 9 am in the morning. Since the hotel is not that big, there were no more place in the hotel we could use to relax since those students were literally everywhere. So we decided to go out the whole day. These students were gone by 5 pm. Unfortunately, the day after, they came back and the same thing happened all over again. I put a complained to the staff and one MOD as well. They only said sorry...
Nice place...but we dont think we'll ever come back there again.
Very dissapointing indeed...

We travelled with our 4 older children ages 17-21 years to Bali for a 12 day holiday. When we arrived at Y resort we were greated with a cold drink and were quickly shown our rooms. The rooms are lovely and spacious with large bathrooms and comfortable beds:-) The resort was lovely and private with a nice swimming pool, great resturant and spa facility. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and even gave us a room to use for the day free of charge after we checked out as our taxi was arriving in the afternoon.
I can thoroughly recommend Y resort as excellent value for money - I only wished we could have stayed longer.

Is the wifi okay now?
Answer from YRU2015
Ubud, Indonesia1 contribution
Dear Laksha, Thank you for your question. Regarding our WiFi, We learn from every one of our guests with a mission to be better today than we were yesterday. we learn what we should change. so at this moment we are on progress to provide a better quality of our WiFi, perhaps we can provide it very soon. However at the moment we always tried our best to maintain the strength of wifi signal, so that our guests still able to have a good access as their needs. With kind regards from all of us Ayu & The Y Resort Family
