This used to be a great little restaurant before it was overhauled, don't get me wrong the restaurant looks and feels much better but the menu has become pretentious and the food is not as good as it was. A shame really why people want to forget their roots in such a lovely place beats me
We loved being away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud town centre and enjoyed exploring the local coffee shops and restaurants near to resort. Central pool, day beds and open air restaurant were great and staff always polite and helpful. One suggestion for improvement would be a fan in bathroom and access to Foxtel on TV.
From the pictures it looked great, however like someone said in another review, there were ants everywhere in the room (particularly the bathroom), mould in the bathroom & on the curtains, the closet smelt (probably of mould). The cleanliness definitely needs work. Although staff were quite nice & pool is pretty good.
The Resort is very nice and its people make sure that you will feel at home and care for. The rooms are very comfortable and lovely.. very clean. excellent breakfast to your choice included in the price, Menu is quite looked into it.. really good quality food for a small price considering the quality. Excellent venue for a solo traveller, families, couples or groups. Will not hesitate to go back there again ..Nice pool beautiful gardens .LOVE IT!!!
Hi there Never usually post reviews however had a bad experience and find all the reviews up here very misleading. TLDR; dirty room, nice staff. OK location and v cheap!! Stayed in October for 3 nights Issues; insects and ants all over bathroom, we would wake up to a bunch dead all over floor each morning. We changed room and issue was worse, insects and ants all over bedroom and ceiling. bathroom stinks (wasn't rainy) toilet roll not replaced daily no new towels daily water in fridge not replaced curtains are filthy and dont close fully laundry service as outlined in hotel description out of service wifi is doesnt work well air con excessively loud and old pool looked dirty didnt even get in it over our 3 night stay breakfast was a buffert and food laid out covered in flies and ants was absolutely rotten taxi charged by hotel double that of taxi company room very old, hotel chair dirty amongst other furniture who in their right mind has given excessively positive reviews for here, overall it is grand and you prob get your moneys worth considering you're out for large portion of the day but by no means is this a top quality resort. The staff are super friendly (best part of our stay) and it is relatively close to ubud town, walkable by day but you'd want to get a taxi at night time, as there is a steep hill and it's very dark. if you're looking for a cheap hotel relatively close and Central for tours and guides etc heres the job But dont expect a resort. Overall issues above were minor enough apart from bathroom dirtiness and breakfast so it is a fine place for the price being charged... Cheers.…
I went to Y Resort for 2 days and stayed for 11.. I did not want to leave! First and foremost is every member of staff... kind, beautiful, genuine, professional. The rooms are lovely as are the cabanas in the gorgeous garden. The huge pool was mostly all mine as everyone else went out during the day and the food and iced coffees could not be faulted. Great breakfast, comfy bed, peaceful surrounds. Loved it!
It was perfect place for our vacation. Staff was best and was very helpful in each aspect. They also gave us free massage voucher and afternoon tea. Rooms are nice with all amenities. One will not regret staying here.
The resort is very pretty and it offers so much in affordable amount. Ambience is beyond words. Staff very coperative. Will recommend this place 100%. It is located at quite place bit away from central ubud and nice
We had a lovely 5 day stay at Y Resort and would recommend to anyone looking for something pretty slightly away from the hectic centre of Ubud. The pool and gardens are the highlight, well maintained and very beautiful with 3 big shaded day beds as well as sunloungers by the pool. Rooms were fine, a little tired round the edges but everything was clean, the bathroom was nice and the provision of robes/flip flops was a nice touch. Within 10 mins of the hotel there are several good places to eat (we ate at Warung Mendez, Pacha Mama and Zest and enjoyed them all) and its an easy 20 min stroll into Ubud. There's one hill (4 mins of walking) and a small bit of the walk has no pavement but we were very happy walking in both day and night. There's also a free shuttle 4 times a day if you don't fancy the walk. Breakfast was ok, omelette would be my recommendation. After 5 days it got a bit repetitive but it was included in the room rate so can't complain too much. We didn't eat lunch or dinner there but always had a nightcap or 2 when we got back with some cards. The staff are a delight, very welcoming and happy to help with anything you need. We would absolutely return, it's the perfect balance of close enough to Ubud to be convenient but far enough away to be relaxing. Ps if you're feeling like a splurge definitely eat at Bridges one night, its close to the hotel with an excellent tasting menu. …
Good location in walking distance to the Ubud Market! Staff was friendly & ready to help! Room is clean & well equipped! Food at breakfast could be improved & pay more attention (in my own opinion) since it's so limited (without basic egg options that we could find in every hotels from 3* resort above). Would be back cause of the location & good for budget. Thank you.
