Just arrived home from a wonderful and amazing week at Karma Mayura. Thank you to all the staff who were amazing and so friendly. My sister and I felt more like family than guests. The food was also excellent and the service impeccable. Also a big thank you to the other members and guests who made our stay so enjoyable. We loved the friendship and the wonderful sense of humour. Miss you all and Mayura.
We have just returned from a lovely week at Karma Mayura . The staff were very welcoming , friendly and helpful. Twice daily shuttle available to Ubud a short 10 minute drive away. The restaurant is good , nice meals at reasonable prices. Recommended for a nice relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle .
Very lovely staff and a peaceful relaxing resort. It is out of town but there is a shuttle bus however the food is so good at the resort we only ventured out a few times. Resort would have had more stars BUT on Valentines evening the manager had NOT got the sense to change the program SO my husband and I enjoyed ( with only 2 other couples ) a beautiful meal served by lovely staff in a beautifully decorated restaurant to the BLARING sound track of a film!! - they had not got the sense to change film night!!! Why oh why could you have not shown the film say Wednesday evening so we could have eaten in lovely surroundings to at least the usual quiet background music. Also - ONLY 2 people were watching the film!
Some local taxi drivers couldn't locate but were successful with our assistance! The resort had several activities (cooking class, quiz night) to encourage mixing and mingling. Lots of laughs but you could also enjoy your privacy
Good place to stay, Specially for seniors. most guests are members of Karma Royal. Service is good, Staff very courteous and helpful.Restaurant is good and the fare is good. Spa is relaxing. Not very expensive by international standards but Bali is generally inexpensive. The hotel driver Nurit is very good and worth booking for an airport pick up and drop and sight seeing. Please ask for best rates .
We went out but had a hard time going back coz our taxi cannot locate the hotel through google maps and waze. Since we were already driving in circles, we decided to just walk and it was scary coz there are a lot of dogs on the street. A lot of mosquitoes and flies also on the property. Also, we had a full day tour booked through the hotel, our driver was Pery, he was nice and all but he brought us in all expensive places to eat, also was not nice and had a diarrhea on the buffet restaurant on the mountain. We thought at first Bali is so expensive but when we decided to cancel our 3rd full day tour and just find our way from the center of ubud. We discovered that we were ripped off.
we have been there for a day. the staff is very helpful and gentle. i am giving three stars because we stayed in karma kandara and karma candidasa before coming to this. so naturally location wise those were much better. but yes we can feel tranquility in the middle of ubud. the greenery and serene view from balcony were plus points.
Stayed at the Karma Mayura for 4 nights. It is a little off the beaten path of Ubud in an unspoiled area. The rooms were clean and spacious, the hotel is small, built along a river with lush greenery all around. There's a small pool and a few lounge chairs. The food was ok, and there was a "guest relations manager" named Mark I believe who was very helpful in recommending places in and around Ubud. The spa was also nice. Nothing luxurious, but at the price point it's a nice relaxation option. If you want to experience the tranquility of Ubud this is a good spot to unwind. Only complaints: -Hot water was suspect. A couple times had to take cold showers which is not ideal. (Yes, we let management know). -If you want to walk outside the hotel around the nearby villages, there are many dogs. Some pets, some stray and it can be intimidating. -Limited dining. One restaurant, not much else nearby without having to acquire a taxi. Also didn't make a reservation one night and there weren't enough tables to seat us. Which isn't ideal when you don't have any other easy options around. Tip: Go to Sacred Rice for dinner. Unbelievable food and great Ubud experience. .…
This was a perfect location for us as a 'chillout' week at the end of a three weeks travelling in Malaysia. A quiet location but with easy reach of Ubud via the hotel shuttle or tax should you want more excitement. The food is excellent and staff exceptionally good.
A small boutique Hotel in Ubud, Bali where you are made welcome from the moment you check in We arrived home today after a 1 week stay and the whole holiday for us was great. A big thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome, but a special mention must go to Fitri on the front desk. It is the small things at this Hotel that make it so memorable, the staff remembering your room number, the fact that someone comes in and turns down the bed and the overall happiness of those that work there are just a few of the things that made it so good. Yes the hotel is outside of the main area of Ubud but they have 2 free shuttles into town and then 2 pick ups as well, so you have the freedom to get out and about. Looking forward to hopefully getting back there again in the future.…
