The location is about 45 mins from the airport. The resort is comfortable, but definitely not amazing. They need new towel sets as their hand and bath towels are extremely thin and rough. No wash clothes were provided. The included breakfast was quite tasty.
Our first hotel on our Bali tour. It is lovely. The room was next to the pool, a good size with a patio and very nice bathroom. The spa is worth visiting, experienced staff and very tranquil, just what you want after a long haul flight. The restaurant area was very pretty with fabulous roof top garden with views over the area. Breakfast was very good and the chef even made me gluten free pancakes every morning. Loved all the fresh fruit and juices. Staff were really friendly and looked after us so well. There are some good restaurants and bars in the near vicinity. We took advantage of the hotel shuttle into central Ubud as it is quite a distance. You can walk in as there is shortcut down the side of the monkey sanctuary. Ubud is colourful, vibrant and fascinating. Definitely hope to go back. …
Room was great, very clean, I thoroughly enjoyed the pool and the breakfast buffet on the terrace was a lovely start to the day. Staff was friendly, wifi was pretty zippy. I'd for sure stay again. You can't drink the water in the room, but they have water dispensers all over the place so it's not really an issue.
Nice hotel for our short stay in Ubud. Rooms are clean and comfortable and two pools surrounded by lovely planting schemes. We didn’t try the restaurant but breakfast was solid without being spectacular. Views from the restaurant area are lovely, especially at sunset.
I loved this place. A comfortable room with a clean bathroom. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The pools looked nice but would have liked them to be open a little later than 7pm. After a long day out I would have liked a quiet swim but we got back a bit too late. Breakfast was fine, good pastries, home made pancakes and the egg station was great. There are a couple of cafes down the road The Black Sheep is good if you want a cappuccino or mocha, rather than filtered coffee. They offer a shuttle into Ubud once a day at 10.30 returning at 5PM. It is a bit further out than most hotels but this meant it was nice and quiet at night, which worked for us. Also special mention for the comfy bed and pillows, and I'm usually fussy!
For a 4* hotel I was unimpressed, don’t get me wrong the views were stunning and the room was clean! But I just felt like the hotel up-keeping in general could be improved The staff were really nice but when we asked about things to do or where to eat they weren’t very helpful The taxis in Ubud are really expensive compared to Nusa Dua and Seminyak so just bare that in mind! Our room was clean but I just felt a bit uncomfortable going outside and enjoying the pool as it was dirty! We didn’t try the food here but there are lovely restaurants just outside. Overall I’d say this is a 3* hotel. Probably wouldn’t go back- sorry!
Nice place but needs some maintenance. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Pools were ok. Room was clean and tidy. We had a family room which had 2 bedrooms. Plenty of room inside. Nice bath tub. Good shower. Location was not as central as I’d have liked and the hotel shuttle to the centre advertised only ran once a day. Was next to Monkey forest. Turn left out of hotel and there is a busy pathway to Ubud. Beware the monkeys though. They look very cute but can be extremely aggressive and will attempt to steal anything you’re holding. Really could do with some steps from the hotel rooms up to the rooftop garden as it was a long walk round down stairs and up ramps to this area. Wifi was good.
We had two family rooms here as we travelled as a family of 6. Loved these rooms as they were traditional Balinese style but huge rooms, really comfortable beds and a great location for the quieter end of ubud. Would be lovely to have a wider range of fruit at breakfast instead of just melon and the pool is such a lovely area but could do with being cleaner. We would definitely return as the staff can’t do more to help. Thank you for a wonderful stay, 3 nights wasn’t long enough
We booked the 2 bed villa with a private pool. As soon as we got in, we looked around and my children's faces said it all. They said that they didn't want to stay here and they would never go in the pool. The staff were amazing and moved us to 2 adjoining rooms. They said that a lot of guests don't stay in the villa once they've seen it. It looks like nothing in the pictures on the website! The staff were really friendly and looked after us. Great location in Ubud.
We stayed at Ubud Wana in 2017 and loved the place as per my review at the time. While slightly less busy due to Bali emerging from COVID, it is still the high quality, welcoming, luxurious resort we had previously enjoyed. The spa treatment was outstanding, the breakfasts were great, the rooms terrific and the location excellent. Thoroughly recommend the Ubud Wana - it’s a wonder!
