The Kayon Resort is celebrated for its spotless environment and fastidious attention to cleanliness, with guests frequently lauding the immaculate rooms and grounds. Exceptional service is a hallmark here, with the resort's staff earning accolades for their attentive and professional manner. Guests have called out the resort's amenities as a highlight, appreciating the personalized services and variety of activities set in a tranquil atmosphere. Tucked away in the Ubud jungle, the resort's location is praised for its peaceful seclusion and stunning beauty, yet remains conveniently close to the town center. While the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms are generally commended, there are occasional suggestions for updates and maintenance. The value offered by the resort is recognized by many, who find the pricing reasonable, though some note the spa treatments as a pricier indulgence. The overall atmosphere is often described as an enchanting mix of traditional Balinese style and natural splendor, complemented by cultural performances that enhance the serene ambiance.

My friend and I stayed in a River View room for 4 nights, we loved it! The decor /bedding in the room was beautiful and tasteful, and I liked the ambient lighting. Also, bottled water was provided daily at no extra charge to drink/use in kettle and bathroom. I enjoyed relaxing on the balcony listening to the sound of the waterfall with views of the rainforest. Although our beds were "twin Hollywood" style, it was not a problem as we could separate them with our own cascading mosquito nets at night and we had our own privacy. The bed/pillow was very comfortable. I also loved the bathroom especially the enormous bath by the window where you hear the waterfall and see the rainforest. I was happy to find there were bath salts in our room which use I could use after our long day shopping!

The resort itself was very beautiful and spacious with wonderful spa and useful business centre, however with many steps! But it is well worth it to experience the ambience of the resort, in particular afternoon tea at the "canyon jetty" cafe alongside the waterfall! We ate at the main restaurant every night, the food was delicious and there was a huge selection of both local and international food, all prepared and presented exquisitely. There was also a guitarist/singer who provided ambient background music in the evenings.

While the resort is located only 15 min from Ubud and it's busy streets, we found the location easy and convenient for shopping trips, however staying at the resort feels very peaceful and relaxing, like it is further in the country. The resort provides an hourly shuttle service into town which we were very grateful for. The best thing about this resort however is the staff, who were all gorgeous, smiling, gracious and dedicated to our complete enjoyment and wellbeing. The service they provided could not be faulted, as they strived to accomodate/anticipate our every need so we could enjoy our time there. We certainly did, thank you very much!

We stayed in a villa with a private pool and it was a dream! Despite the fact that the villa is far from the reception area (I don't recommend that old people or with mobility problems stay in this villa) Staff always looked after us very well and helped us in everything! We ordered floating breakfast several times, and we also went to the restaurant so both options are very good! the food is amazing! We also had dinner in the room, despite how far we were, they took everything and it was amazing! Very good food it's a little bit expensive but it is what you would pay in a place of this kind, in fact we thought it would be even more expensive.
There is a shuttle service that takes you to downtown Ubud, very good, every hour. Aslso tours with private cars is also offered! They are not expensive either, a one-day tour is around $ 65 dollars per car (for mx. 4 people), but they are worth it, incredible comfort, service and long distances traveled, sometimes they are several hours to get to the temples.
Finally, just emphasize the spectacular service and quality of the place, it is expensive, but worth every penny you pay!! you won't regret it!!! best honney moon ever!

The Kayon Resort is in Ubud, Bali and is part of the Kayon Resorts and hotels chain. They have a sister resort also in Ubud; Kayon Jungle Resort and a new resort opening next month (may 2023).

Communication whilst booking the resort was great and I was able to organise spa treatments and tours via email whilst still in the UK. There is also a WhatsApp number whilst you are in resort which is helpful.

Amenities: The Kayon resort is small with only 26 rooms, 1 restaurant, 1 pool, a yoga pavilion and a spa for treatments but the boutique nature means that you are treated as an individual not as another guest. I was always greeted by name and the staff couldn’t do enough. I had the “Ratih Kamajaya” 3 hour spa package which consisted of a massage, a scrub and a milk and honey flower bath. The therapist I had was great….3 hours of pure relaxation! There is also a jetty down the bottom of the hotel where you can see the river and the waterfall!

Food and drink: Breakfast and afternoon tea were included in the room price and was delicious with a-lot of local and western choices. The Kepitu restaurant was great with lots of choice of delicious food at a very reasonable price point.
The “taste of Indonesia” night was wonderful with lots of local food to enjoy along with Balinese dance performances.

Room: There are 3 room options at the Kayon and due to my very specific dates I was able to stay in the Valley Room (801) for the first night then seamlessly transfer to the River Edge Pool Villa (villa 2) for the following 4 nights. The bathrooms are the stand out areas for me with the whole accommodating furnished and decorated in traditional Balinese style. In my opinion they are looking a little tired in places so perhaps could do with an uplift soon to include some more modernisations. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, hand soap, amenity kits and hairdryer are all available along with a laundry service. The mini bar is basic.

Trips and Tours: There is a free shuttle bus multiple times a day in to Ubud and a daily free shuttle bus to the sister resort Kayon Jungle. This is well worth a visit as the pool area and views are stunning.
I also organised a driver for 1 day through the hotel (approx £60) which was well worth doing as my driver (Wayan) was lovely and extremely knowledgeable. He also picked me up from the airport! We went to the monkey forest, rice terraces, temple, traditional Balinese house and a waterfall and Wayan was on hand with knowledge, towels, water and also carried my bag and took photos of me! A lovely guy!

All in all, a great stay … would recommend for couples and solo travellers.
Lots of steps so not suitable for those with mobility issues.

My wife and I spent 5 days at the Kayon Truly Ubud Resort for our honeymoon and we had nothing bud great experiences there! The staff and resort manager are beyond friendly and always go above and beyond to help with anything required. We stayed in a villa with a private pool and the setting was magical! Very peaceful with a private view of the jungle! The rooms are beautifully decorated as well! The Spa treatment we received was by far the best we experienced in Bali, and at a very good price too! The hotel is also relatively close to the center of Ubud and they have hourly shuttles to drop off and pick up guests there. We would definitely recommend the Kayon Resort as a top hotel to stay at when travelling to Ubud in Bali.

My stay at The Kayon Ubud Resort was splendid... we booked the River Edge Pool Villa for my special weekend getaway.

We checked in pretty late on Friday Jan 31st, and was welcomed warmly and effectively by the staffs.. my villa was the Rama Shinta 5, the furthest villa in the resort, although we had to come down quite a lot of stairs, the vibe and design of the Resort made us in awe everytime we went through the path to our room..

We did enjoy the breakfast selection menu, also tried the laundry service which was excellent! (considering we asked for express service, our dirty laundry were picked up early morning and already finished before evening, big thanks to the laundry service staffs!)

And as for the room, it was exceptionally clean and all the amenities were useful. My boyfriend arranged a special bday flower arrangement for me in the room and it was very beautiful! Big thanks too for the special Bday card from the breakfast staffs. it was lovely!

Overall, my birthday weekend was unforgettably beautiful and amazing! thank you The Kayon Resort for accommodating me. Will definitely come back soon when I have the time & spread the good words to family and friends!

There isn’t one word to describe how awesome this place is! Right from arrival to departure the staff has focused on delighting customers. We booked this resort for our honeymoon based on the exceptional rating it had and Exceptional is perhaps closest because the staff go over and beyond to ensure guests are looked after. The place itself is uniquely located with an infinity pool, spa, gym and restaurant. The hotel is Balinese owned and displays the rich culture in service and architecture,

The biggest Biggest plus point about this resource is they make the room twice a day that’s right they make the room in the morning and then come back later in the evening to set down the room . the hotel is eco-friendly and all the amenities are not only eco-friendly but also of top-quality. The staff speak good English and are constantly checking in with the guests. We highly recommend anyone wanting to experience true Balinese culture and service to book this place.
The hotel also organised a scooter and every time is left for the day they provided us with bottled water and were there to receive us every time we drove back in. We will definitely choose this place for a stay on our next trip.

My boyfriend and I spent 4 nights here during the holidays in December 2019 and we were blown away by this resort: the beauty of the surroundings, our amazing villa and the attentive and friendly staff. I've never experienced better customer service at any hotel in my life. The location felt so private and off the beaten path; we probably slept better there during our stay than on any other vacation. The Kepitu restaurant was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner (including a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner with live Balinese dance). I would stay at this resort again, hands down. The Kayon has my heart and I can't wait to visit the next time we're in Bali. Thank you so much for the best vacation our of lives.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt like family. The staff at the resort truly go above and beyond to make sure your experience is memorable, comfortable, and exceptional. We booked a private pool villa and the room was truly comfortable, clean, and perfectly decorated. The beds are a little hard but we found this to be true everywhere we traveled in Bali. The villas are a bit of a walk downstairs but they do make sure your luggage is carried both ways and take care of you. From the chocolates on our bed each night to floating breakfasts in the pool we had the most incredible experience. We also dined at their restaurant for every meal as it was absolutely delicious. We loved the mix of local options and Western options and loved the live music at the BBQ. Breakfast was delicious and we will be dreaming of their freshly pressed juices for a while! Thank you to Pinky and her entire team for an incredible experience. We will 100% be back!

We just finished our stay at Kayon to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it has been an exceptional experience. Before we even arrived, the Kayon team was incredibly helpful and kind in working with me to plan surprises for my husband’s birthday. And from the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and hospitality beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. Kayon has a philosophy that their team is a family and they also treat guests as family, and that shines through in everything they do. You can tell that the team cares so much about what they do and about each other.
We stayed in a villa with a private pool, and it was magical. We loved being able to listen to and experience nature from our deck and pool - super relaxing. We felt incredibly pampered in the gorgeous, comfortable room.
The resort is beautiful, quiet and cosy. It’s just the right size for a relaxing and romantic vacation. The spa is lovely and we enjoyed a few different experiences while we were there. They have private rooms for couples to enjoy their treatments together, and it is a really special experience.
The free shuttle to Ubud center made it so easy to get around, and we really appreciated that.
Most of all what makes the Kayon outstanding beyond any resort or hotel we have been to is the way the Kayon family treated us both like family and like honored guests. We just felt pampered and incredibly comfortable the entire trip. We loved our experience and hope to be able to visit again. I can’t say enough great things about the Kayon report, and we couldn’t not recommend it more highly!

Wish we could give this place 6 stars. The service is absolutely flawless, and everyone working there puts 100% effort into ensuring your stay is perfect and always with a smile. You really feel like a king (or queen) staying there and by the end of your stay will quickly feel like home. The amount of detail put into every bit of presentation does not go unnoticed. The Kepitu Restaurant on-site is delicious and the special cuisine nights are a nice touch. There are only 22 rooms at the resort so you’ll never feel neglected. Kayon, thank you for an amazing stay, we will be back!

Hi....these 2 resorts are owned by different people but still have a close working relationship. As the previous individual indicated, it is best to ask the Kayon folks directly.

There is a shuttle between the two Kayon resorts. Most probably you would be able to take baggage also. Your other queries would best be answered by the resort itself depending on how late you would like to check out.
