We got the Alaya Resort during our Balinese trip. We spent 5 days there and it was excellent as a perfect combination of elegance and luxury with the surrounding nature. Regarding to the rice plantation it was really nice walking beside and the lots of flowers made that location amazing. Thanks to all the people who work to make this possible for tourists.

The good - very comfortable room and bed, quiet, outdoor daybed on our groundfloor patio we could relax on, two beautiful pools to lounge by the grounds in general are lovely. The location was great around a 10 min walk to Jl Goutama, less than that to the Monkey Forrest. Lots of great restaruants nearby ( we went to Ibu Susu, L'Osteria Pizza, Twist). Areas for improvement - the layout of our bathroom was quite weird there was a large room off the shower not sure what it's purpose was and the sink area was seperated from the room by a curtain only. Breakfast could be organised better. They have a small buffett, but then also a menu you can order off where you get a small freshly made serving. One morning we were there during "peak hour" around 830AM and they couldnt quite keep up and service a tad too slow. My suggestion is make more things self serve on the buffett and remove those items from the menu so the staff are not fetching things guests could get themselves. Overall we loved our stay and would stay there again.

First impression a total Wow, beautiful traditional entrance, the room was a delight to see spacious with a round bathtub at one end, good size balcony. Grounds beautiful set in rice fields, two pools both very scenic. The spa well worth a visit beautifully done fantastic experience .Disappointed to find the balcony door had gap on one side not ideal with the mosquitoes around. The worse thing was breakfast first morning nobody came to greet me so helped myself very limited buffet. The second morning somebody did come over but all tables had not been cleared .5 star really !! think they need to sort themselves out

We stayed here for 4 nights and overall was a very good stay. The room was spacious and balcony was very nice. All the staff at the hotel were very nice and attentive. I would say there used to be a damp smell in the room when the housekeeping staff would clean the room and turn the air con off. But once the air con was on it would clear. The location of this hotel is amazing if you are staying in ubud for a short period of time and want a central location to attractions such as the monkey forest, restaurants and bars. I was disappointed with the breakfast - i felt the selection was really poor and not much to choice. They did however arrange for a breakfast box for us as one day we had a trip early in the morning. The pool are and sunbeds were very nice and tranquil. We got a sandalwood massage and was really impressive probably one of the best massage we had in Bali. Overall a good stay but some areas of improvement.

Had the best day exploring around Bali with our tour guide Agus. Very kind, friendly and informative ! The sites we went to were great! Hotel was spectacular and the staff are extremely friendly. Food is delicious and huge variety between the 3 restaurants.

We stayed at the Alaya Resort in Ubud for two nights, and had a great stay. The location in Ubud is ideal, with many cafes, restaurants, ATMs and shopping at your front door. The hotel is very popular, but as guests are busy with activities each day the hotel doesn't feel over crowded. Our bed was absolutely huge, and we had a beautiful view of lush green fields and blue skies. We enjoyed a foot massage at the hotel spa at 10pm at night, which is easily the latest massage we've ever had, and a luxurious way to end the night! The pool is lovely, and we enjoyed a great breakfast (highly recommend the truffle eggs). Other stand outs include amazing cocktails and bar snacks at Apertif, delicious coconut ice cream at Tukies, beautiful views and a fun pool atmosphere at Cretya and an amazing sunset dinner, cocktails and phenomenal views at Sayan House. There's so much to see in Ubud and there's so many articles on places to visit in Ubud that I won't list them, but I would highly recommend staying at Alaya Resort.

Alaya spa resort ticked all the boxes. We travelled as a group of three, 67 yo mum and 2 40-odd daughters, for 2 birthdays. From the very start the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Could not do enough for us. The resort sits in the centre of Ubud but feels miles away from the hustle and bustle behind the main entrance. The rooms, grounds and facilities are immaculate and the spa experience out of this world. Special mention to Kadek Agus who went above and beyond to make sure we had the very best holiday…. From booking us tours tailored to what we like to making dinner reservations and organizing special birthday treats for the birthday girls. Terima kasih banyak 🙏

We had a week in Nusa Dua before moving onto to Ubud, we had not been here before and as we drove in it was noticeably much much busier than our first place. Arrived at the hotel which fronts onto one of the main roads and the reception and main restaurant is all open. Check in was great, really friendly as we’d come to expect from all in Bali, lovely touch with a nice welcome cold lemongrass tea drink as we checked in. Was escorted to our room and was totally blown away by what lies behind. You leave reception and enter fabulously manicured gardens and a series of well tended fields which stretch to the back of the resort, it’s a real oasis of tranquility after the vibrant, hustle and bustle of the Ubud main streets. Pools are small but perfect to lounge around and cool off in. Location is great, right in the heart of Ubud, 5mi Ute walk to the Sacred Monkey Forest and easy stroll upto Ubud palace. Tried all 3 restaurants and both food and staff were excellent. We had a ground floor room that faced onto the gardens, very spacious and well appointed. Would definitely recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to return here.

Our stay here was phenomenal. We told them it was our honeymoon and they upgraded our room, had rose petals waiting for us both in the bath and on the bed when we checked into our room. Our balcony had a stunning sunrise view. The room was super clean and comfortable and the staff were so kind. The food at this resort was delicious, the best we had in Bali. We loved the complimentary breakfast. The pizza on the room service menu was also super yummy. The spa is gorgeous and all of the flowers were so luxurious in the treatments. They also offered body scrub/tea making classes which were super fun. My favourite part was the infinity pool overlooking the rice field. Thank you for making our honeymoon so incredible!

Overall great hotel and very nice staff..however at breakfast Riwan was the star and most helpful Others could not speak English very well The breakfast is a bit strange in procedure and menu.. no spinach no grilled tomato with European menu You need someone to get the butter while you wait for toast.. its uncoordinated.. However great surroundings. Great view over rice fields. Beautifully maintained. Great Restaurant called Manisan on th3 grounds Would stay again
