I was staying nearby at the Pita Maha and stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is located in a beautiful garden setting high above their pool. Staff were excellent and their extensive menu was a mix of Indonesian and Asian fusion. Everything we ordered was tasteful and presented beautifully.

We were told their gardens was award winning and went all the way to visit but it wasn't as impressive as expected. They have a day pass for spa and pools if interested. I forget if 10 or 15 usd. Might be a good option if you are looking for a quiet place.

This restaurant has an awesome view of mountains and valleys. They have a good variety on the menu and the quality of the presentation and food was outstanding. Must mention that their very pleasant Indonesian hospitality made us most welcome and comfortable. Easy access and highly recommended.

This is the Bali that used to be! Hotel Tjampuhan is the first hotel built in Ubud (1928) as a retreat for royalty and visiting dignitaries. The comfortable, large villas literally emerge out of the lush jungle forest oasis, down the hillside to the river below, where an incredible spa, complete with grotto, awaits. The beauty of the property is...

We stayed here for 3 nights after New Years, and it was the most memorable experience. Everything was perfect, the scenery, pools, spa, food, rooms... nothing negative to say! The staff were friendly and too happy to help, and the chefs at the restaurant cook AMAZING food. We will be back, and we will tell everyone we know to only...

I've stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during my holiday in Bali and was absolutely blown away by its beauty. You feel that you are in the middle of the jungle with tucked away stairs leading to the spa, yoga classes and pool areas all the way down to the white-water rafting river. It offers a great variety of...

Recently stayed at the hotel. We got a delux room near the pool and river. Great room and love the history and culture of the place. Plus the pool is awesome. Breakfast comes with the room and it is excellent. I highly recommend if you are looking for something relaxing but with lots of Culture.

Could not fault this place, amazing location, delicious food, friendly and attentive staff. Stayed three nights and was sad to leave, moved onto Seminyak and was disappointed in comparison to Ubud. Will never stay anywhere else in Ubud!

I had always assumed this hotel would be too expensive - it encapsulates all that one dreams of as Balinese and the location is spectacular. We were given a very good rate for a beautiful simple and old fashioned room that had all that we could ask for, just not in the 'luxe spa' modern look of which there are...

I went to Ubud for my friend's wedding in October. We stayed here and had a comfortable stay but I wouldn't say it was worth the price. Pros: Comfortable beds Good house cleaning service Nice buffet breakfast Helpful staff Close to shops Huge bathroom Nice pool Beautiful views Great air con Good internet connection Cons: Not accessible to people who...
