From the warm welcome from Merry to the wonderful ambiance and service, this is certainly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We had three wonderful nights and ate in the restaurant each evening whilst also enjoying the excellent breakfast (cooked to order - not a buffet). The food was excellent, and the staff took great care to make sure that there was the right level of spice - ie chilli - in the Nasi Goreng. The rooms are separate from the main reception and restaurant so there is a short walk (or buggy ride) through the hotel’s gardens and its own rice paddies. Our room was simple, beautiful, spacious and comfortable. A lovely surprise on our first evening was dinner outside with a brilliant musical duo and local dancers. One of the most beautiful places to stay in the world!

I loved my stay here, it certainly felt like home away from home. Felt really looked and cared for. We visit whilst the corona virus has been affecting everyone. It is such a beauty, amidst the rice fields. I will be returning. Just outside the town but shuttle is provided. Stunning hotel, stunning surroundings, and fantastic duty of care.

It was 12 months since our last visit here, but really nothing had changed since our first visit. We were welcomed back “home” on arrival, as so many staff remembered us from last time. Once again all staff were very friendly , efficient with nothing too much trouble for them, the food both for breakfast and evening meals was superb, and our room was again fantastic with an outlook directly over the gardens and rice paddy fields. When we left we were very concerned about the future livelihood of the staff as bookings were dropping due to the current world situation. Hoping that we can return to this wonderful place in the not too distant future.

Excellent hotel great staff and the food was brilliant. If you want somewhere quiet and piece full then this is the place for you, free shuttle in to Ubud town which has loads of shops bars and restaurants. less than 10.00 min. The hotel was always immaculate and you are in the middle of a jungle and paddy fields, great central place to get out and explore, we went too the volcano but didn’t see anything just thick cloud also went to Bali safari park which was excellent and went to the monkey forest. Great place if you are into non beach.

I must confess that when I arrived... my first impression wasn't positive. The lobby is rather simple than anything else... Luckily after meeting with the great staff and take a walk into the property and our beautiful villa, all my fears dissipated quickly. Only reason for not having an excellent rating is due breakfast. I've never been a fan of "a la carte" breakfast because they limit you... and actually the breakfast experience was very inconsistent during our stay.

Dear Ruben R, Warm greetings from a very different Resort & Spa "Wapa di Ume Ubud'. Thank you for taking your valued time to write and share your experience and I was bit shocked to read your first sentence which is at the end made me smile :-)). Indeed that the resort has no glamour impression, we offer you the authentic atmosphere out of the hustle-bustle of daily routine. This is the right place for everybody to defrag their mind and get refreshed before going back home. Thank you for your constructive feedback on breakfast, we respect your preference of buffet style. We do not limit our guests, and we want to extend more to personalize service with freshly meal cooked from the kitchen. We all do look forward to having both of you back again in the near future. Yours Sincerely, Budi Sihing & Wapa Family
