I absolutely loved my stay at Ananda Cottages - from the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, to the gorgeous property, to the lovely rooms, I will recommend it to my friends and family. It's not to far from the downtown, but far enough that you feel like you're in your own oasis.

Will list pros and cons, starting with cons because I was not happy overall: 1. Unresponsive service: First day I checked in, had a bit of a fever (unrelated). My aircon temperature was stuck at 16C, and I could not turn it off. I called the reception, they said they would send someone ASAP. I had to wait 45minutes, called...

I have stayed here twice because I love being in the natural surroundings with the river flowing and the ever present ducks. They have so much personality I could watch them for hours. I always stay in the second section down a narrow lane. It is very safe and well lit in the evening however I always take a torch...

Amanda Cottages was the beginning of a wonderful journey through Bali. It is a great way to get started with beautiful rooms, landscapes and pools. The cottages were walking distance to some wonderful restaurants and shopping. We took a short taxi ride to the Monkey Forest and a market place that had great shopping for the bargainer and some good,...

We recently had a week at the Ananda Cottages in beautiful Ubud. The location is about a 20 minute walk up the hill from the main town centre, and Ananda runs a shuttle bus into town 3 times a day. If the bus times are not convenient it is only a IDR 50000 taxi ride. Taxis very easy to find...

We booked 4 rooms at Ananda for the Writer's Festival. It was literally the perfect place for this- right across the street from all the action. The rooms are large and the setting is quiet and absolutely lovely. There are two sections, the main one which has many rooms and a second one just down the road. They will take...

Family run small resort . Absolutely loved it, it is old school bali, service was great, meals were very good, 3 pools to choose from and new young male manager is fantastic. Took my mum here for her first rip at 83 yrs young and she loved it. We will be back.

This is a real old time Indonesian resort which has kept true to its roots and not sold out to the rapid development and the giant hotel chains that have rendered Ubud so crazy. The rooms are large and each building feels like an old house with private rooms. My room number 16 faced the rice paddies and had a...

When I found Ananda Cottages on Booking.com, it looked beautiful - cute cottages surrounded by rice paddies. The grounds of Ananda are indeed very beautiful but the rooms were a disappointment - not at all like the photos on Booking.com. They are very tired and old and whilst pretty clean, they need some work to bring them up to the...

The Place is really good, specially for those seeking solo time away from traffic, crowd. The location of the Hotel is OK, It is 9 minutes away from the centre of Ubud, and thatan advantage by itself to have your time away from noise. Rooms are clean, and they are equipped with a nice terrace, outdoor shower and toilets. Pool...
