I was looking for a place to relax in Ubud. Despite the hotel is a bit far from city center, they provide a free shuttle to city center of Ubud. The hotel is well inserted into nature but all facilities is getting a bit old, hope they will refresh it soon.

The Bali Spirit Hotel is not a slick big chain hotel. This to us at least is a good thing. We have been to the Bali Spirit three times, and we love it more each time. The rooms are bali-style and well maintained, the grounds are magic and the restaurant is fantastic (best food in Ubud at least!) but the...

So we booked through a travel agent and got recommended the Spirit. Now we're a group of three 20 year olds and we were all so impressed by the beauty of the place. So green and beautiful gardens! Lots of steps however- very easy for us to get around but may be a problem for some people. We're made to...

Did our research and got what we expected. Our Emerald room was excellent with awesome garden location and as the flowers were butterfly friendly had many a small visitor at the room. Staff were great. Yes there are the steps but this hilly Ubud so again expected and a great way to walk off delicious Balinese food from Bali Spirit...

We arrived late in the afternoon after a transfer from our hotel in Kuta for our 3 night stay. We were met in the lobby, which has great views over the valley, for the checkin which was very straight forward. Next we trekked down the endless steps! From reception to the room was 7 flights of steps, then another 8...

Okay so this place wasn't awful, but I just can't think of anything positive to say. Bali Spirit had quite good Tripadvisor reviews so we thought we'd try there for a change (as we've been to Ubud quite a few times). Tripadvisor doesn't often get it wrong, but on this occasion it did. In summary then... the rooms are basic,...

We stayed for 5 nights in a spacious river view Villa, with a garden bathroom. The first greeting by friendly staff who handed us cool cloths and a welcome drink was followed up by further great service and friendliness. The pool set in the tropical gardens is well maintained and also safe for children. Our villa was maintained and the...
