We spent 2 nights at this little praradise in the middle of the Jungle and loved every detail of it. As 2 dietitians who highly value healthy plants based meals made from the fresh ingredients the vegan meals served at Tangi restaurant exceeded our expectations.
The rooms are amazing. Every detail is thought through carefully and when you open the curtains in the morning, surrounded by the jungle, it reminds you how beautiful it is to be alive.
There is one yoga shala facing the rice paddles and free daily morning yoga classes. I mean what better way to start your day doing yoga facing the rice paddies! They also have a ‘hot yoga room’ which is all glass and has an amazing view of the full and the coconut palm trees.
The pool and garden area was simply amazing. We had the Buluh Cendani Signature Massag and it was amazing!
The staff was very very nice! In general I love Balinese people’s hospitality but at Gdas they went the extra mile everyday to make sure everything was perfect. Amazing experience, definitely coming back!

Travel:
We stayed in Gdas for 5 nights in April 2023 and had an amazing experience. The airport pickup and drop off were well timed, peaceful with good local music. The daily shuttle service to Ubud Town was very useful and the staff are extremely quick to help out with arranging anything or giving good local advice as most of the staff are from the local area. We also arranged a half day trip to Tukad Cepung Waterfall and Goa Gajah through the resort and it was very affordable.
Resort & Room:
Our room (prestige pool villa garden view) was beautifully designed, comfortable, extremely spacious and spotless; it was also kept cool for our arrival. Bayu had organised a pandan, lemon & frangipani flower bath on arrival which was a lovely touch, which helped us relax and cool down. The bath salts, soaps and body wash appeared to have been created using local ingredients from native products. The personal pool we had in our room and the public pool and hot tub we had access to were always very clean and at a good temperature.
The room was facing the west and we watched the sunset each evening during our stay. There were also 2 days where it heavily rained and the view was mesmerizing and calming. We had the option of walking through the building or the side of the paddy field – the view and atmosphere was very calming and relaxing. The room were cleaned twice a day and every evening they had a mini turn-down service traditional cake which was also a lovely touch.
Note that The Bali Eden Wellness Centre is still under construction. If you visit before July 2023, expect to see some construction work during the day. However, it did not disturb us at all in our room or at night.
Staff:
Bayu was the perfect introduction and representation of the resort and provided us with an exceptional experience throughout our stay. He picked us up at the airport along with Agung with genuine and friendly smiles and made us feel comfortable and relaxed during our drive to Gdas. During our drive to the resort, Ari contacted us offering pre-ordering of our lunch so it was ready when we arrived, which was unexpected, but good as we were quite hungry after the flight. Once we arrived, Ari made us feel welcome with her big smile and checked us in quickly.
Everyone we encountered from then onwards were a gracious host that I will never forget their hospitality. They were always genuinely friendly, happy, accommodating and made us feel welcomed wherever we went and nothing was too much trouble. We could tell everyone enjoyed working there and together they created a happy and relaxing environment.
A pre-existing shoulder pain had flared up during the last 2 days of our stay and Bayu noticed it. Once I explained it to him, he was very caring and went out of his way to help me out. He organised and personally delivered a herbal towel and hot towel over 2 days, which really helped ease the pain. I will never forget his kindness for the rest of my life.
Food:
The restaurant food is AMAZING and out of this world. It’s hard to tell that the food is vegan. Everything is delicious and we nearly tried every item on the menu. Its hard to pick a favourite since every item was incredibly tasty. Compliments to the Chefs. The Loloh drinks were another level. I would highly recommend anyone who stays at Gdas to try out every Loloh on the menu as they were tasty, thirst quenching and made out of local ingredients (grown in their own garden) with a lot of health benefits.
Activities:
The resort also provided daily activities such as yoga, Loloh making class, cooking class and herb garden tour etc.
The morning Yoga classes was great and a must do! We only went for 3 days because the other 2 we wanted to sleep in. The instructor Eka & Rhiya are masters and the class is beginner friendly. They do have a separate hot yoga studio which we didn’t get to try out (maybe next time). We also tried out the chakra healing meditation for which Eka was the instructor – it felt so peaceful and relaxing once we had completed it.
We received excellent spa treatments at Arana spa by Notif, Rhiya and another person. The treatments were so good, we upgraded our second treatment to a hot river stone treatment.
Conclusion:
From the time we checked in, to the time we left, every part of the stay was divine. Bayu, Ari, Juna, Eka, Rhiya and every single person there made our stay extra special, relaxing and most of all happy. Especially Bayu, as I'll always remember the attentive care he provided us throughout our entire stay.
We were very sad to leave thanks to these wonderful hosts who provided such great service, care and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. If anyone is looking for a relaxing, luxury stay, I would definitely recommend Gdas and we hope to go there again and experience Bali Eden in the future.

Just do not think twice about staying here. I don’t even know where to start… this wellness resort is nestled between gorgeous greenery and rice fields where you can see local farmers throughout the day. It’s the perfect location for tranquility and adventure. The resort offers shuttles to the town and you can book a driver to do any day trips. The place is so clean, even the towels smell amazing. I am a solo female traveller and I felt so safe and welcome, I was given water and a cool towel on arrival, and this customer service continued throughout my stay. I was welcomed daily with kind smiling faces and anything I asked for was never an issue. Thank you Dwi, Ari, Mangde, Dekagung and Gde to name a few.
The food is vegan and fantastic, the drinks are healthy and I even got to do a Loloh class which is a Balinese herbal drink that was offered every morning with breakfast.
Yoga was at 7am every morning with the strong and beautiful Ria.
The spa was great, I enjoyed my massage and manicure.
Thank you so much to the Gdas team - my only regret is that I didn't stay longer.

Well first of all what a perfectly ran establishment. Every single detail is catered to leaving you in awe and feeling relaxed the moment you walk in and check in. I loved the staff so much there was never one moment were there wasn’t smiles and an over abundance of helpful spirit. Juna was a legend along with all his squad. All the ladies that work there were so lovely every morning with breakfast and helping me stay organized and on time for everything. Just a lovely safe haven and couldn’t have asked for more. ❤️ don’t hesitate on this spot. You leave wishing you booked more time and know it’s the only place you’ll come back to next visit.

Whilst a lot of Bali (especially Canggu) has fallen victim to the rapid growth in tourism and expansion of bars and nightlife, The Gdas Bali Health & Wellness REsort maintains everything that an Indonesian escape has always been about - being next to nature, medicinal herb gardens, fresh food, yoga, meditation and other rich cultural delights.
Their own restaurant has a vegan tasting menu that leaves you feeling cleansed and nourished from the inside out. Including sup don kelor, tuung menyat nyat, and poh ketan are some of the finest, freshest and most forgiving food you can find in the area.
If you're looking for a tranquil retreat, detox, getaway and reset that will leave you feeling as though you've discovered a slice of heaven on earth, I cannot recommend Gdas Bali enough.

We traveled to Gdasbali to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We stayed at the rice paddy View Pool Villa and it was perfect. The private pool was clean and the water was not cold, the bed in second floor was beautifully decorated, and when you open all the windows, a cool breeze blows. If you fall asleep without curtaining, you can see the perfect sunrise in the morning. I highly recommend it. The villa's private pool is nice, but the main pool and jacuzzi are amazing. If you soak in a warm jacuzzi after swimming, there is no heaven. I was worried about the meal because it was a vegan resort, but all the food was so delicious that my worries were overshadowed. If you want to drink beer, I recommend bring it. They don't sell beer. They clean the room twice a day, and the room was kept clean enough to check in, so every time we entered the room, it made me feel refreshed. The morning yoga sessions were so good.
Our staff name was Dayu, the best staff I've ever met at any luxury hotel. She was always kind and took care of everything without saying no to any demands.
When someone says they're going to Bali, I hope they come here and feel what I've felt this time. It is also highly recommended as a honeymoon destination. We promised that we would definitely come back on our 5th anniversary. At that time, I really want to try the Wellness Center. I just want to say thank you to all the staff.

We stayed at Gdas for 5 nights in March 2023 and had an amazing time. The staff, in particular Ari are incredible, literally the best service I have experienced anywhere. Management should be very proud.
Very personal, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We could tell everyone enjoyed working there. Also, Gdas is set away from any hustle of town our room overlooked the rice fields.
Every day there was some extra gift or small personal touch. Ari stopped at markets to buy local fruits for my wife one morning! The chef also sent homemade cakes and treats each day and the team invited us to test out the cryotherapy treatment which was fun.
Ari, Eki and the team also gave us a tour of their herb garden where they grow a lot of beneficial herbs, spices and vegetables for the kitchen and the daily Loloh (healthy drinks). We tried almost all of them, the Don Piduh was my favourite.
Yoga class was great, we only went once as we preferred to sleep in, but the instructor is a master and the class is beginner friendly. The do also have a seperate new hot yoga studio.
The drivers are fantastic, the shuttle service to Ubud town is extremely useful and they are extremely quick to help out with arranging anything or giving good local advice. Most of the staff are from the local area.
Rooms were beautifully designed and spotless.
Pandan and lemon bath on arrival was another lovely touch. Lots of native products like bath salts and soaps using local ingredients too.
The Bali Eden wellness centre is still under construction, so if you visit before July 2023, expect to see some construction work, though it didn't disturb us in our room or at night one bit.
I also had an excellent deep tissue massage at the spa on site.
Thanks to everyone for the great stay - highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxury stay. I'm not super into wellness stays but I'd definitely go back to Gdas.

It has been a real pleasure staying at Gdas, Juna has taken very good care of us and made our stay stress free and a lot more enjoyable. When we looked at accommodation in Ubud, we wanted somewhere peaceful and quiet, connected with nature yet with all the comfort a luxury hotel would provide, Gdas does the trick perfectly! What we are most impressed with at Gdas are the views from the windows directly to the ricefields, first class care from Juna (we can tell he has really put his heart into making guests feel happy and comfortable and has been incredibly hepful in meeting our needs) and magical hands from masseur Desak. Visitors beware that they only provide vegan food (at least currently, there is talk of a new restaurant which provides non-vegan) which is delicious, and if you want non-vegan foods the location is really easy to order delivery from most places in Ubud.

This is without a doubt the most amazing and relaxing experience in Bali.
Our Room has uninterupted views of endless green ricefields and if the sky is cloud free, also you can see the volcano right from our bed! You can literally step out of bed and feel so emercered in the nature around you.
The faciclities are all brand new, luxury and beautifully finished. Big bath tubs and a beautiful rain shower.. They have really put a lot of time and effort into making sure this is a wonderfully relaxing experience.
The restaurant has a wonderful array of options that truely allow you to indulge guilt free with the menu all locally sourced, vegan and sooo yummy!
I would defintely recomend the Laksa!
And the best for last - The staff are above and beyond the already smiling and wonderful Balianese. Your every need , thought, and desire taken care of before you even arrive. They are so knoweldgble, kind and truely make the experience of Gdas a world class luxury!
Cant wait to return!

My wife and I had a fabulous time at Gdas Bali. We don’t usually use this site but Gdas is review worthy. Our experience was truly immaculate, and we’ve never felt as well taken care of as we did here. Special compliments to Bayu and his team for being so attentive throughout our stay, anticipating all our needs before we even knew ourselves. The activities were all personalized, and all the instructors and guides were knowledgeable. Every meal we had was excellent—somehow, healthy and nutritious while being absolutely delicious and leaving our appetites fully sated. The room comes with a pillow-top super king-sized bed framed by a magnificent royal headboard and hand-carved wood finishing. Along the walls and on the ceiling are fragrant wood panelling, a beautiful contrast against the floor’s cool grey stones.
In the bathroom, the vanity is sultry green marble, an exotic edge against the darker tones of the black stone bathtub. Definitely a resort on the bucket list—we hope to be back soon.

It absolutely does for those facing the build. Its lovely on the non-construction side with a view across paddies and the mountain. If you can't lock in the paddy side, I recommend looking elsewhere. if you do go, take advantage of the village walk or bike ( i did both), the health drink lesson, and daily yoga!
No. But there are places in walking distance.
The constitution is at the back of the hotel and the view that your room has is the other side. The construction is well underway and you still will enjoy the tranquil view from your room.Personally it didn’t affect our stay .Gdas is a wonderful place
