To start, I would like to say the hotel is stunning, it looks great, feels brand new & we were really impressed when we arrived. The pool area is 10/10 and there is a nice spa/yoga area too. We stayed in the Ubud room, the room was nice but we found it very small for 2 people and our luggage. Location wise, it’s is a little out of central Ubud maybe a 40 minute walk but taxis to and from are very cheap & easy to find. However, we were a little confused when we arrived as there was no restaurant area, so there was no real food service, yet the hotel was not self catering either. Whenever we ordered food, we did find it took ages to come and we often had to ask numerous times as it felt like we’d been forgotten about. One night we waited 2 hours and asked multiple times to be met with faces of confusion. We also found there was no real service around the hotel or pool area, we were chilling by the pool and were told to get drinks from the mini bar in our rooms and had to make our own coffees again from the room. I was expecting a little more from such a nice hotel. We had to leave very early morning to get a boat to another island, but we found there was no checkout staff present early morning so the checkout ended up being very slow. Overall we really loved the hotel itself, we just think there could definitely be improvements when it comes to service and food/meal service. …

Perfect location just in the center of Ubud. Near all the attractions and restourants. Huge rooms¡ the staff is wanderfull! The pool is incredible in the middle of the jungle. I loved this place! Will be back!

Small but very comfy.. love the pool with the jungle view, and also the suite room with its interior design. The food is quite good but they only have few menus and we eat at our own room, not like the other hotels and resort that have a breakfast buffet space.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt the warmest of welcomes during our stay at Amarea. The room was beautiful, the massage treatments are amazing and very professional, and the staff are simply wonderful. 5/5 would stay again!

Awesome experience! Cosy and private place away from the Main Street. Good for couples and honeymooners. Service is wonderful and staff is attentive. Ala carte breakfast is great and served in the room.
