From The Netherlands... We stayed here for our last 5 days of our holiday in Ubud and we are so glad we did choose Green Sala!! We had a very relaxed stay because: - The owner and staff are sooo friendly and helpfull, best staff I ever experienced in a hotel! They speak English. - The rooms are very clean and new, just one year old (I like clean rooms). Bed, shower, toilet, sink, floor is clean. - Provided a lot of different size clean towels in the bathroom. - Big rooms, enough space for your luggage and stuff. - Good food in the restaurant with good prices (Balinese pork is great and the milkshakes are great!) - Beautiful location at opposite of rice fields, so quiet here! Better than in the center of Ubud. Rooms at first floor have beautiful view at rice fields. - Easy to order taxi with GoJek or Grab app (we payed around 50k oneway to center Ubud) just takes around 10min to center. - Nearby activities: cooking classes, Ubud shopping center, Tegalalang rice terrace, Tegenungan waterfall, Monkey forest, etc.... - Free breakfast, roomservice or at restaurant (the green pancakes are delicious!) - Staff is present 24/7, this is a comfortable feeling. - Swimming pool looks nice. - Staff is very willing to give recommendations or help you (hotel owner booked a cooking class for us). They can also arrange taxi if you don't want to use the apps. We didn't care so much but be prepared: - A lot of geckos outside and sometimes in the room, but they did't come down and they are everywhere in Bali, so you will have them in every hotel! We didn't care about them. - A lot of tiny ants. They provided us with some ant spray and that worked, so for us it was okay. These are also everywhere in Indonesia... - The location of the hotel is a little bit off road with high hills, so be sure that your taxi (if not with app) knows where it is. - We didn't use scooter because it would be too dangerous.. but taxi was very smooth. We recommend this hotel very very much and we would definately come back here! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality, we had a great stay!! Iris & Remy

We stayed her for about 5 days on our ubud stop of the tour. Although it is just outside of the town it was perfect to relax in, you didnt get caught up in the hustle of the town centre. We didnt have a scooter but the staff there were happy to help us arrange transport for whenever we needed it! The villa itself is gorgeous, nice relaxing swimming pool area, breakfast was amazing- you could have it in the restaurant or they bring it to your room and you can sit on your balcony enjoying the scenery! The bed was very comfortable and the aircon was perfect. It honestly was the most relaxing hotel of our stay and we cant fault it at all. When we go back to Bali we will definitely stay again!!

PROS: Beautiful villa Private & romantic Free welcome drinks upon arrival Very sweet staff They provide mosquito repellent Breakfast brought to you each morning Choose breakfast the night before This is a beautiful resort. My boyfriend and I stayed for three nights - booked it about one hour before arriving and a room was ready for us immediately. CONS Lots of bugs in the room Spiders Geckos/lizards on the walls Far away from Ubud center Hotel transport into center expensive Breakfast tasted prepackaged Bugs in breakfast food Dirty silverware The room we originally booked had stains in the bed that were kind of disgusting. We told the staff and were kindly moved to another room that had no stains in the sheets. On the second night, a gecko fell on my boyfriend while we were in bed and we couldn’t find it after. I didn’t sleep at all that night because I was pretty grossed out. The issue is that the doors to the room are sliding doors that don’t fully touch the threshold of the door. That means anything and everything can get into the room. If you’re not squeamish about bugs and lizards, I 100% recommend this. I cannot sleep with peace of mind knowing there are tiny bugs in my bed. But the staff is so friendly and accommodating that I recommend the hotel.

We were only there two nights but we had a lovely stay at Green Sala. The staff were lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and the location was very peaceful. We didn’t have a scooter so I will admit it was a bit of an inconvenience having to arrange for a ride into and out of Ubud (about 80k each way). But it was just a tradeoff for the amazingly peaceful location with the perfect view of the rice fields across the way. The only thing that bothered us a bit was that there is no real separation between the bathroom and the sleeping area. It makes a really nice and open vibe in the room in the daytime, but the disadvantage came in the early hours of the morning when the sun came in through the window in the bathroom and lit up the whole sleeping area. If you’re a heavy sleeper, this won’t be a problem. Or just make sure you bring your eye mask. :) Other than than, the bed was super comfy and the peaceful vibe of the whole place cannot be beat.

Perfect for those that are looking for the convenience of being close to the hub of Ubud but also like to be away from the crowds. Set among the rice fields on the edge of the village Pejang, everything is finished to a high standard. Certainly 5 start accommodation without the ridiculous price.
