We booked & stayed in the double Jasmine bungalows with the private pool, and really enjoyed our stay. Gajah Biru is located down a laneway with one-way traffic, and though there's no immediate car parking at the front, there's a shared space quite close by. The bungalows are not super shiny & new, however they were comfortable, a nice design; fairly spacious, clean and tidy with ample cupboard space and good sized bathroom areas, patio/verandas and reasonable air-con. Also supplied with water dispensers. The staff were friendly & helpful. The grounds were lovely, green and well tended. The spa massage service was good value. There are some nice shops & cafes nearby, and it's about a 20 min walk into the centre of Ubud, and about 15 mins to the Bintang Supermarket ... The only issue was that the mattresses could do with being updated, as the springs felt worn and a bit lumpy.…
Had a nice stay at Gajah Biru during our quick business trip in Ubud, despite the small road and the lack of parking spot. We had a spacious veranda room, and I just loved how serene and peaceful it was there. Friendly staffs, nice breakfast, big pool, cute cats, and I had a very amazing 2-hour massage.
Visited from 1st December to 5th December 2019.Small Good Rooms, Loved the Hospitality of the staff, but on the first night when we reached at 2 AM it looked like scary place coz very less lighting was there. Also if you are afraid of insects then you must not go to this place though i don't mind small insects coz place is full of greenery and all rooms made of wooden. But I am afraid of lizard 😑 it was there in room. But if you want a peaceful place to stay you can stay here. Otherwise at approx.2700 INR (40 USD) (we paid for gajah biru) per day you can also find many other places in UBUD to stay.
This quaint resort was offered on a travel website at a huge discount, dropping the price from over $300 AUD per night to about 69.00 - and at that price it was worth it. Any higher and you would be compelled to complain. Set in an aging bungalow the two bedrooms are in need of painting and the setting is more shabby than chic, the pool is ok, and you do have a private pool so that was nice. It was all just a little run down and no one came with clean towels or sheets, there is no breakfast. That said you can get out and about into areas of Penestanan to visit cafes and gelato bars and local eating places with ease. So yes, consider it if it is on special, but full price forget it. The staff on the last day were very helpful but the first two days they were definitely missing in action.…
Stay for 2 night when we in ubud, and in booking i request if they can do some decoration to surprise my husband on our anniversary and do they deliver. They make a very beautiful decoration in our bed and we both love it! The veranda our room have cozy porch with beautiful garden and small fish pond. The staff are very friendly and helpfull, when our room ac dont work they respone quick and move us and all our stuff to our new room (its was rain that night), and the new room its on the second floor with big beautiful bathroom. The hotel location 20mnts walk to ubud center, and there a motorbike rent + laundry just infront of the bungalow if you need one. They dont have parking area (no car can get in) but there a space for park not far from the bungalows. No tv channel for veranda room but there a dvd players and some dvd of old movie to wacth. We try the spa for bali massage and it was great value for money.…
