Excellent rooms, nice pools, great service. The breakfasts cater for everyone. Hugh selection of food and drinks, if you can't see it just ask. We stayed on the ground floor of the "Wonderful Pool Access" rooms, great area to take it easy around the pool.
The resort hotel was beautiful, the breakfast food was amazing, the beach was great and there was an infinity pool to try as well. We had a room that had a pool right outside our door. It was not private (and I knew it wouldn’t be) but that was never an issue. The room was immaculate and the temp was set perfectly, we never touched the thermostat. The hotel staff was fabulous. They were extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. We received a welcome drink and cold towel when checking in. When checking out, a staff member double checked our room for us to make sure we left nothing behind and the check out was a breeze. The hotel was a 5 min walk to a Circle K for snacks or beverages, too. That came in handy for us. I would definitely go back to Maya Sanur and stay again. There was bar located close to the beach for drinks on the beach if you wanted to do that. The hotel will be glad to exchange your country currency to Indonesian currency. That is the only type of exchange they can do. I have nothing bad to say about the Mays Sanur at all. It was wonderful!!!…
Beautiful, quiet and clean hotel with large rooms, beautiful grounds, sparkling pools and great food and hospitality. Directly on the beach and a great location in Sanur. Staff are outstanding and so eager to make our stay perfect. Special mention and many thanks to Rani and Diana in the restaurant for their amazing smiles daily and great service throughout our two week stay.
Advantages: - the hotel is in a quieter location with fewer tourists - Modern hotel with large, well-furnished rooms Disadvantages: - sunbeds are only by the pool, not on the beach (beach approx. 50m) Our tip: Enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on the beach promenade with a view of the sea.
We stayed in a Heavenly Private Pool Suite at Maya via a deal with Luxury Escapes. The resort is beautiful and I really liked the modern architecture vs the traditional dark timber Balinese resort style, I like traditional but sometimes it’s nice to enjoy something modern and edgy. Our suite was wonderful and had everything we needed. My only gripes would be that the Mini Bar Fridge is tiny and not very cold at all. We actually bought a small Esky/Ice Box from the local supermarket and just stacked up with ice daily to keep water and beers cold. The glass bottled water service got tiresome in the end and I much prefer the water cooler type setup that many villas have. The air con seemed to struggle to cool the room really well too. Staff were brilliant, of special note was Hendra who did our nightly turndown service, his attention to detail was very impressive. He would fold our clothes and line up our toiletries and put my wife’s jewelry in a very particular order. Excellent service. The food at the resort is nice but not amazing and the reduced Luxury Escapes menu got tedious so we would often forgo it and dine out at the many excellent restaurants in Sanur and then use our voucher for dessert on our way back into the resort. Buffet breakfast was impressive with lots of variety and great noodle soup. I used 2 of the 4 included massages as part of our package and both were nice and relaxing. Cocktails by the main pool in the afternoon were great and it really is a beautiful small boutique resort that I would certainly recommend and return to in the future. Thanks to all at Maya for a lovely little break in Bali ❤️…
Beautiful location. Loved the beach, boardwalk and shopping. Wonderful attentive staff. Great breakfast buffet. Traffic is heavy going from Sanur to mid- Bali ( Ubud) or north where most of the attractions seem to be.
Seven nights of luxury. This hotel is perfectly positioned with good shopping at the front door and a fabulous bar, restaurant and beach at the back door! Rooms are large and well appointed. Staff are professional, efficient and friendly. (Balinese smiles are even better than Bali sunshine!) My first time in Sanur, but it won’t be my last!
Had a wonderful long weekend at the Maya. The hotel is perfectly positioned for everything. Located right on the beach and within walking distance of countless dining and shopping options. The facilities are first class and staff friendly and professional. The main pool is amazing. The quality of food and drinks is both good value and delicious. The Tree bar was a wonderful place to sit, relax and have a drink or meal. I will be looking to book again. Simply loved our stay.
We had a great 3 days at Maya Sanur. The architecture is very impressive and creates a wonderful atmosphere along with the service and attention from the staff. We booked a garden view room and found it very comfortable. Room service was excellent - very attentive to our water needs. The quality of the food, both breakfast and restaurants, was really tasty and excellent value for money. Enough choice to keep us happy all day long. We enjoyed the yoga classes. We will definitely come back to Maya - the staff is amazing!
The our first stay at Sanur Beach at the Maya Sanur Resort was very enjoyable, The rooms were very well designed & appointed- with helpfully a ready supply of bottled drinking water! The resort location between the Sanur Beach (and the beachfront walkway) and the local road gave easy access to either side. The Maya Sanur’s hospitality offerings were wide and Santi and her team were universally warm and helpful, and many tried to remember our names. Highly recommended.
