My husband and I hadn’t stayed in Sanur before and wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle in Seminyak. We looked at so many potential hotels in Sanur and had a good feeling about Sanur House so we went ahead and booked it for 3 nights as the reviews were good and it was in budget. On arrival, you’ll enter the beautiful, green entrance way through to reception and will be greeted by one of the lovely smiling members of staff. Check in was smooth. We’d booked one of their deluxe rooms and were so pleased when shown to our little cottage by the swimming pool. You have your own veranda with a couple of chairs and a table. The bedroom was large, clean with good storage options, a good bed and great aircon. The bathroom was also very large albeit with a shower that was a little temperamental (not a big issue at all). We knew on arrival that we wanted to stay longer so we were able to extend for another 3 nights. Would have stayed longer but they were fully booked. Breakfast each morning was fresh and beautifully cooked. Not the hugest menu but all the offered options were great (including the delicious banana pancakes!). We also had lunch on one of the days which was also delicious. The gardens/grounds are wonderfully kept and add to the beautiful ambiance of this place. The pool was also clean and well kept with just the right amount of loungers/chairs/daybeds. The hotel is only 5 mins walk from the beach, set just off the main round down a lovely quiet street with a couple of very friendly bars and restaurants, and a lovely tourist information guy who we’d have happily used if not for already booking the remainder of our time in Bali. Every member of staff was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the friendly chatter from the kitchen was always lovely in the background whilst enjoying breakfast. The pandemic crippled so many businesses/livelihoods that I wish Sanur House continued success and a better than ever year. Last thing to mention is that this little guest house is doing its bit to reduce its impact on the environment. Towels and bedding aren’t changed daily (every few days unless requested otherwise), you have your own water fountain in the room with an unlimited supply of water (glad I bought my refillable bottle with me on my travels) and they use bamboo straws only. Top marks. So, in a nutshell, stay here. You won’t regret it :)

Once again had a lovely stay. Hotel has been well looked after during covid pandemic. Staff were great and very helpful. Enough restaurants open to enjoy a meal. Beds comfortable, good airconditioning lovely sitting area outside our room which was one of two larger rooms. Would definitely recommend.

i was on site in may 2019. At first I only wanted to stay a few days, but it turned into 1.5 weeks. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the main road and is very quiet. The facility itself is very well maintained and the staff is helpful in all matters. I highly recommend this place and look forward to staying there again on my next visit.

We stayed 1 night here but wish we booked more! Such a cute stay, simple rooms but well maintained with everything you need. Great air con and black out blinds- perfect for our baby! The pool area is serene, surrounded by plants and trees. The in- house restaurant was extremely delicious and the coffee was great. The staff at Sanur House are so happy, warming and helpful. We really enjoyed staying here and will be back!

I have stayed here previously and returned for two nights this week. As previously, the staff are exceptional, very professional and courteous. The rooms are spotless and well maintained. It has a wonderful ambience and the gardens are meticulously maintained. The whole place is very welcoming and I will be returning for another few nights at various times this month whilst in Bali. Great location, five minutes off the main street and very central. Restaurant was great too, excellent food.

What a great find. We booked in here for 15 nights in one of the standard rooms. All rooms exceptionally clean and serviced every day. Loved the fresh water container which was topped up every day. No plastic. The grounds were beautiful and kept to a high standard. Pool area was small but well kept. Now for the staff. What a great group of people. They were so friendly and so helpful. Always smiling and chatting. From the reception, to the restaurant, the guys who looked after the rooms, the gardeners, all lovely people. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Have already recommended to others. Thank you for everything, Mr Jim and Miss Annie 😁

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The gardens I have to say were fantastic. A lot of care is taken by the gardeners. The pool was small and water was stinging on the eyes. My partner liked the breakfast , I my have preferred some more options. We booked the deluxe suite and thought we had the area to ourselves but 2 rooms lead out to that area. Maybe should be stated a little better on their site. See photo. Would have liked coffee making facilities in room.. just a 200mt walk to main sanur road, about 3 minutes. Great warung on side road (liitle warung).

Pleasantly surprised how good this place was. Very quiet, 200 metres off main drag and probably 20 minute walk to beach. Really nice pool area where delicious breakfast served. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Air con and wifi worked perfectly. Room was bigger than expected and quite comfortable. AUD 70 per night includes breakfast. Also water dispenser in room and no straws, plastic bottles which should be the case in all restaurants/accommodations.

Very centrally located but situated just off the main strip. Beautiful place filled with friendly staff that goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Doesn’t have the trimmings of the big places but it has the quiet and peacefulness about it. Set on tranquil surroundings, what I loved about it was having breakfast cooked while you wait. Restaurants around the corner plus a short walk to Hardies. I for one will be certainly staying there again.

Before reading this review, please be aware that it is written by experienced travellers, who don't glorify Bali, but compare the island with other travel experiences within Asia. Arriving at this hotel as the first of our Bali holiday, we were not that happy with the cleanliness of the bathroom in the guest room. After 2 weeks travelling through Bali we realized that for Bali-standards, the bathroom was not that dirty. I guess it all depends on what you are used to and the perspective. For what you pay, this hotel offers a great service and standard compared to other hotels on the island. We can imagine that for lots of travellers / Bali-lovers, this hotel might be heaven-on-Earth. Then again, if you are looking for Western standards, you might have to look for a hotel somewhere else.
