Our return to Bali after 2 1/2 years couldn't have been better thanks to the Puri Santrian resort. We were in Santrian Club room for the week which was large, comfortable, quiet, with a bathtub, and has access to a private pool area just for Club guests. We never had a problem finding a sun lounge there, or at any of the other 3 pools. Our package included an American breakfast which was a pretty good buffet, not much in the way of cereals, and the tea and coffee were pretty average, but we enjoyed the fresh fruit, made to order egg and pancakes, and the nasi goreng and mee goreng were also tasty. Every weekday morning we enjoyed the free yoga class with Candi, who tailored the yoga to our limitations and made it very enjoyable. We also had complimentary afternoon tea available between 3pm and 5pm, with delicious hot snacks and cakes every day, unfortunately with the same bad tea and coffee. The espresso coffee available at extra cost was quite good, we enjoyed a couple of lattes poolside. Beers and cocktails are a little expensive compared to bars and warungs outside the resort, but not outrageous. The resort grounds are just wonderful, very green and meticulously maintained, as are the 4 pool areas and especially the beach. The man maintaining the beach every day did a fantastic job cleaning up the morning rubbish and sea grass that washed up in the high tides. We were also very fortunate to be able to visit the hotel owners house compound in the north of Sanur on Saturday morning, escorted by Niki from resort reception and she did a great job explaining the compound layout, the temples and the rituals being performed. This was a highlight for us, thanks Niki. We definitely recommend Puri Santrian, the resort is lovely, and the location is great right on the beach within easy walking distance of many cafes and warungs on the beach path and the road.…
A lady mentioned the lack of parasols on a previous message and she is right. It was a real issue. While there 2 weeks ago my 18 year old daughter fainted from heat exhaustion. As she fell forward she hit her face on a sun bed and broke her nose, unbeknown to us at the time. She started bleeding and suddenly the kind friendly staff turned. One manager appeared as I called for help, dabbing my daughters face saying she needs to go and take the blood off with no concern about the pain she was causing nor the damage she was causing. We have since found out this dislodged the bone in her nose. Their only concern was the comfort of the other guests. My daughter had also had a seizure as she fell, was completely dazed, felt very sick and was bleeding profusely into the sand. Nobody helped except the guests. The manager was just shouting for us to leave. I then told her that could be very dangerous to force her up and that she needed to keep her head down and needed something sweet to eat, sugar or jam and a glass of water. All she did was shout the same thing over and it was a guest who found some sugar and I managed to ask a waiter for water. While she lay on the floor on my lap semi conscience and bleeding I was made to pay for the water and then thé managers manager showed up and he also went on about her having to get up. I told him she was my priority and we’d leave when she was able to. All they were interested In was to restipulate that it wasn’t their fault and then he just filmed us in total distress. We were asked if we needed a doctor which was the only positive thing out of the whole ordeal. When the doctor came and told us how dangerous it would have been to force her head up the manager came into the bedroom and continued to take photographs and photos. He never showed me the footage not enquired on how she was the next day. I love Bali but it has left me with the most awful distressing memory. What happened to their humanity ? Is it legal to fill us like that without consent ? And making me sign for the water while on the floor with a girl passed out in my arms. Really?…
I booked to stay as a treat for my birthday so i was delighted to be upgraded to a beautiful suite. My delight however was short lived as the people next door screamed, shouted, argued and sounded like they were continuously bouncing up and down on the bed. This went on from 2pm until 930pm when i asked to be moved as i had been up since 0430am. Sadly i was then downgraded to a deluxe room and wasnt shown around or given new wifi codes etc. This also meant i lost my access to the private pool. I was in room 282 which was absolutely beautiful but the suite has a thin connecting door to next door which is where all the noise was coming from. It was so loud at points i felt as though there was a crowd of people in my room. The staff here however are absolutely amazing. Very friendly, professional and efficient. They even brought me cake on my birthday. The pool has 2 public pools and the private club area pool which is stunning. So all in all a good stay in a hotel with beach front access. I am vegan and there was tonnes of fruit and rice for breakfast. The Espresso martini was one of the best i have ever had. Towels available for the pool. Very clean. Great air con. Thanks Puri Santrian, sorry you lost a star for the noise and having to down grade, your staff are fantastic.…
Positives - stunning grounds and pool areas that are very well kept and just beautiful - several pools - beachfront - clean modern and pretty spacious rooms - mostly friendly staff Negatives - very average breakfast. Not many options. We ended up eating at the next door hotel for half the price - no swim up bar even though it appears the facilities are there for it Overall though I highly recommend.
The Puri Santrian is a great hotel in Sanur. We have been here twice now and have not been disappointed The rooms are great and very comfortable and the location is perfect. Check out La Playa restaurant and bar about a ten minute walk along the beach. Great food and service Very happy with our choice
A nice hotel in Sanur area, quiet area in Bali. the hotel has a traditional Balinese reception area. We stay at connected room. The room is spacious, with nice bathroom. The staff are warm and helpfull. This hotel has several pools. Recommended hotel to stay in Sanur.
Our return to Bali after almost three years did not disappoint for our first stay at Puri Santrian Sanur . A most enchanting and traditional Balinese resort with many beautiful gardens and a selection of sparkling pools . Our accommodation was comfortable and appealing , cleaned impeccably every day . All the staff were friendly and happy to see more tourists coming back to Bali . We will be returning to The Puri Santrian and recommend for couples and families. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay a happy one .
Bali is finally welcoming BACK tourists so I was hoping that a 5* hotel like the Puri Santrian will welcome me @ the Airport with a sign stating my name & the driver to escort me to his Hotel car. It is the best HOSPITALITY any hotel can sincerely demonstrate. Unfortunately, when I informed Puri Santrian about 3 weeks before my arrival on 24 April, I was told to take a taxi because no hotel transport is available. I love Bali & have been to Bali 4 times..... finally t celebrate my 70 Birthday @ Puri Santrian. I hope the General Manager will read my REQUEST . Thank you ! Chye Tan
My recent stay at Puri Santrian was very enjoyable. I initially got a "club room", which while the room is a good size is in an older building starting to show its age. The room was clean, the balcony lovely, but the tv and shower both were only semi functional. I later changed my reservation to stay on a few extra days and was upgraded to a newer building. Although the room was marginally smaller it was much more modern. I was on the 2nd floor which gives more privacy than the ground floor rooms which have people walking by as one sits on the individual terraces. The property is very green and lush, has several large swimming pools, and now that renovations are making headway there is a newly constructed section where one can sit right out by the beach in a lovely cabana. Breakfast was good; a la carte western or Indonesian options. I did think that upon check in I could have got more explanation of where things were on the grounds: I was pointed in the direction of my room and basically had to figure everything out for myself.Especially given the large number of staff working at Puri they should make more effort to welcome and acclimatize newly arrived guests imho. Puri is at a quiet section of the beach but it is not far to walk to restaurants etc, either along the beach or on the road. I had a very enjoyable staycation at Puri Santrian, and I will be back again soon.…
We visited here a couple of years ago pre Covid but TA said i didnt finish my review?? It was a lvely setting, we did change our rooms as the first room was small and did not meet expectaions. The second was superb. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful but areas were slightly shabby like the breakfast area. We didn't eat there often as there were plenty of restaurants around. It was good to walk along the long stretch of beach from the hotel although we did think there were too many dogs allowed on the public areas. the Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel was good and the free afternoon snacks were welcome
