Very good Villa, We were surprised by the privacy of the villa, no other building around, you feel safe and comfy, surrounded by nice and efficient team (cleaners, drivers, cooks, etc) always ready to help, with a smile as a plus. The pool was big and warm, Rooms are comfy, AC is quiet and efficient, a lot of storage inside Beds are really comfy (not too hard), a good choice of pillows and crisp comfy cotton sheets Outdoor shower was heaven The villa is not brand new, you can see here and there some signs of maintenance needs but, for the price, is is very very good value. Internet was strong but only on short range TV was of poor quality (aerial) and nothing in English.

If I could rate this villa above 10 I would. Our stay at Mahagiri was beyond exceptional including staff, hospitality, cleanliness, morning breakfast, location, amenities, and the free transportation that the villa provides. With this being our first time in Bali, we were incredibly pleased with our stay. We stayed in the private pool villa which felt like paradise on its own. Every morning we were greeted with smiles from the staff of the hotel. You could choose to have your morning breakfast, which is included in your stay, brought to your room or you could dine at the Mahagiri restaurant, which again had exceptional hospitality.
Sanur is also located in the middle of Bali and so if you’re looking to tour the island, you can easily drive to the north, south, east, or west from here. It’s also very close to the Denpasar Airport.
Without a doubt, we will be returning and staying at Mahagiri Villas.

We arrived an hour early and said we would be happy to leave the bags and come back later if the room was not ready. But we were checked in then taken to the restaurant for a welcome drink and some canapes. Then we were just left for the next 50 minutes without anything further said which was a bit weird.
On arrival to the room there was a welcome note left on the bed, but it was for a Korean couple (we are not Korean).
The first night was a nightmare. We were kept awake by the loudest frogs I have ever heard. It was like a flock of geese or seals right outside the room just loud as anything honking all night. In the morning I spoke to reception, and they offered to move us to a different villa and to have their pest guy deal with the frogs.
The move turned out to be the best thing for us. Even though the villas were supposedly identical the second villa was just in much better order – the pool wasn’t as overgrown and dirty from plant material, the outdoor shower actually worked and the whole feel was just much nicer. Also – no more frogs once their guy dealt with them – bliss!!
So, onto the good stuff – the gardens are lovely. The food and room service are excellent – not expensive and a wide range of choices. Breakfast was great with many options.
As many people have noted the free car service is probably the best thing. We were dropped off and picked up from all over Sanur and the drivers were all super helpful.
The staff are lovely – Gusti & Ryan at the restaurant & the guys driving were super friendly.
One thing we must mention, and I can’t believe so few people discuss this – the one-bedroom villas have no steps into the pool. There is a shelf at 40cm then into 1.5m deep. This means there is no easy or graceful way to exit other than pull yourself out or go for the beached whale approach. If you had movement issues this could be very difficult to get in and out. I also felt the pools needed to be cleaner – there is too much over-hanging plant material that falls into the pool and big pile of pool chemicals left sitting in the corner of the pool which I don’t like.
We would stay at Mahagiri again, but I think we would select a two-bedroom villa for the bigger/ cleaner pool and easier access.

Our recent stay at Mahagiri Villas Sanur was a very enjoyable and memorable one.
We contacted Mahagiri Villas beforehand to inform the staff of the reason for our holiday to Bali, which was to celebrate my daughter's birthday and me and my wife's 50th wedding anniversary.
When we arrived at Mahagiri Villas, which was the day of my daughter's birthday, we were shown to our villa by Mira and we were thrilled to find our baths filled with rose petals, and towel swans, flower bouquets and rose petals on our beds. Mira was extremely helpful in explaining the villa's facilities, etc. to us.
The following day at breakfast we were pleasantly surprised when the staff brought out two cakes, one for my daughter's birthday, and the other cake for me and my wife's wedding anniversary.
It was all very thoughtful and very much appreciated.
The housekeeping in particular was exceptional and we were very impressed by the courtesy car service. The drivers were more than happy to take us to the local restaurants and pick us up later. We found all of the staff to be very friendly, professional and accommodating to all our requirements.
Due to our early return flight home we were not able to have breakfast. We very much appreciated the breakfast box which Mira arranged for us.

The service from the moment we arrived till the day that we had to leave was exceptional.
All of the staff (From security / front office / restaurant / room keepers / gardeners) did everything they could to make us feel welcome and our stay as comfortable as possible. They're an absolute credit to the business.
The breakfast was great and you certainly weren't lost for choice and options.
The room was a good size, the aircon worked great although we did find the bed a little hard for our taste. The pool was a great size, cool and most importantly clean! They provide you with lots of bottled water which saved us having to purchase more from the local store.
The free transport (to and from) anywhere in Sanur was very handy and a very nice touch especially on the days where it would rain.
My only criticism would be that the rooms although clean, needed a bit of maintenance and TLC (tender loving care) i.e. fresh paint and some of the furnishings (curtains and cushions) were stained but this did not spoil our stay. The free bicycles needed to be updated and / or maintained better.
We honestly wish we could have stayed at Mahagiri Sanur Villas for our entire stay in Bali but unfortunately they were fully booked so 7 nights were better than none!
A HUGE thanks to all the staff for making our return trip back to Bali (since the pandemic) a wonderful experience. We will certainly look at staying here again!

Mahagiri is a beautiful villa resort with amazing staff and excellent service. The location is very convenient to walk anywhere in Sanur within 10 minutes but we loved our villa (202) so much, we spent the majority of our time there. Our space and the shared areas were very well maintained by the excellent housekeeping and grounds staff. We had breakfast in the restaurant, though we could have selected to have it in our villa, the Indonesian breakfast was delicious and the restaurant staff were great. Check in process was excellent and reception and security staff were superb extremely helpful during our stay. Thank you for the complimentary upgrade and a wonderful end to our stay in Bali.

We and our grown-up daughter stayed here for a week over Christmas. Our stay was even better than we expected. Our 2 bedroom villa was wonderful, even more beautiful than in the publicity photos! The staff were all friendly and very efficient. They could never do enough for us. Food in the restaurant was also excellent. They take you by car wherever you want to go in town and pick you up when you ring them take you back to villa for no extra charge. What an amazing service! We would love to return one day!

This was our first time booking a private ville and we're really glad we did. Me and my wife really enjoyed the luxury of privacy in a beautiful villa with all the amenities. Maybe a bit surprisingly we spent most of our 7 days stay at the Villa, mainly leaving for the Gym and dinners. The villa provides transfer and pickup which we used daily, very conveniant. Food at the villa was really good as well. The staff kept extremely good care of us and seemed happy to work at Mahagiri. It's very important for us that the company takes good care of it's employees as it seems Mahagiri is doing. I recommend Mahagiri if your goal is to relax and lower stress levels, but if you want an active holiday probably Sanur is not the best option (Semanyak or Kuta are probably more suitable). Only minor issue we really had was some loud birds waking us up about 6am every morning, but luckily the noise lasted only about 30 min or so and we could get back to sleep again.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom down the back / right hand side… we had plenty of sun in our lounging area almost all day & the pool was more shaded which was great as it kept the water cool - the villas are in a T configuration so I’m guessing some sides get more sun than others at certain times of day. The staff are wonderful, I’d just reach out and ask for what suits your needs.
I have stayed in the 2 bedroom villas twice recently and each bathroom had a hairdryer
