I could not possibly fault this little hotel.

The intimate but private layout and space of 12 or so rooms, an open kitchen, dining, pool and grassed yard area with a small gate to step directly into the beach.

Rooms were very comfortable, quiet, extremely clean and well equiped with good linen, good air con, wifi and quality bathrooms.

The food, made in the open kitchen area, was beautiful at every meal. We had planned to explore Lovina village but found ourselves Re-ordering the excellent Mie Goreng, hand cut chips, omelette, desserts. I purchased some fresh snapper which the girls produced and excellent coconut fish curry from.

Staff were gentle, attentive and kind. It felt like a family run business.

Other guests were mainly European and couples.

Beach access being a few steps from the grass covered sun lounge area was beautiful. Long long walks on flat sand with calm water were possible day and night.

A neighbour massage guy gave me a brilliant leg and foot massage.

I walked the 20 mins or so into town and down to Pepito where there was everything additional you might need (fruit, wine, tuna!).

I cannot wait to return again to this idyllic island village spot that is just what Bali means to many people, yet so hard to find.

Thanks to all at Frangipani Beach Hotel.

Amaaaaazing! I am not sure I can call it a hotel, as it feels more like a private villa thanks to its great cozy layout, beautiful gardens, amazing pool and mind-blowing view!
The room is impeccably clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff is adorable, very welcoming and extremely discrete, she is more like a private butler taking care of everything and cooking a very yummy breakfast.
What a feeling of peace and “zenitude” at Frangipani Villa!

This was a fantastic small hotel. Our VIP room was enormous. The staff were very helpful and so friendly.
We loved that you could help yourself to tea, coffee and water in the restaurant.
The pool lounges are THE BEST we have ever experienced. They were extremely comfortable…..no numb bums!!
The hotel was a little out of central Lovina but there was a walkway along the beach into town, about a 20 minute walk. Also many of the local restaurants do pick up and drop off.

We stayed here for a few nights with friends. A lovely small hotel directly on the beach and very relaxing to stay in. Our friends had a problem with the shower in their room and were moved and upgraded immediately. The rooms are spacious and nicely maintained and air-con and hot water worked well. It was great to hangout around the pool and there was a restaurant with a good selection of food and you could get beer, wine and arak. The only thing that could be improved was the breakfast. One more note the staff were amazing and very friendly.

Unfortunately, this stay was a disappointment. Unlike with any other acquaintances in Bali, here we felt not welcome. Already at our arrival, after a several hour trip from Sidemen to Lovina, we were not happy with the check-in. Stressed personal, renovation work opposite of our designated room and a construction side on the east side of the property was a frustrate begin.
The room was ok, but the bathroom was not. It is orientated towards the entrance pathway of the hotel and it is partial open. So, you could hear anyone and anything from outside during you are in the shower or toilet – very inconvenient. We suspect, the personal spend their pause time also somewhere close to our bathroom, because we could hear them talking all the time. One of the two washbasins did not work, and all fittings (shower, basins, drain) were severe calcified.
It seems, during the pandemic the doors were simply shut, and nothing was maintained during this time. As a result, after the re-opening season with new money they start to renovate now in the off-season.
The Hotel would have potential. Good size of rooms and pool, nice garden area, direct access to the beach. But all this does not matter if you do not feel welcome and comfortable.
After one night we cancelled the rest of our stay and moved on. Besides us, there were only one other couple there who also checked out on the same day as we did.

Cutest place right on the beach! Staff is super friendly and accommodating. We didn’t want regular breakfast so they made us a really good Indonesian breakfast. Rooms are large and comfortable. Wish we had stayed longer..

Small hotel right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean pool and space to lie in the sun or the shade.

Breakfast was great well made but basic. Fruit, banana pancakes, scramble egg, weggies and toast. What more could you wish for. 👍Walking distance to a couple of good restaurants for dinner.

Pickup for dolphin watching right in front of the hotel.

Great small hotel, very clean and maintained with heart. The value for money is extraordinary, and the local food superb. Beach directly in front, pickup for dolphin watching directly by boat from the hotel. We can highly recommend the cute place with its great and very caring staff!

Our third time here. Excellent place to just relax. Right on the beach. Breakfast looking over the ocean is so good. Rooms are large and comfortable. Air-conditioning works well. The lovely pool and semi outside bathroom was a winner with us. Staff are helpful and friendly. This is a great place to stay. Walk along beach path to restaurants and shops past fishing village homes.

The French woman who purchased this hotel a year ago from the former owners is in the wrong business. She seemed to have a mission to make our 2 night stay as unpleasant as possible in spite of the fact that the hotel itself is nice. Although free computer access was promised, we were initially told our time would be limited and then the service was intermittent at best (a problem as we all needed to check in with our various jobs). The towels were not changed and the bed was barely attended to. Since we occupied all of her VIP rooms, we were not expecting an absence of basic hotel services. Her son suggested that perhaps we should have stayed elsewhere when we asked for ice and protested when told we would be charged 50 cents an ice cube. Fortunately the service at the 3 other hotels where we stayed was charming, warm and wonderful, in the Balinese tradition, so this was an anomaly.
