My favorite hotel in Nusa Dua. I came here for the first time in four years. I had to cancel due to COVID-19, but even though it was a non-refundable plan, I was able to finally come. My daughter always came to this hotel's kids club because she loved it. This time, I traveled alone and used a fitness called Sofit for the first time. Everyone is very kind. In particular, boxing, which was taught by Mr. SURATA, was very good. It's a private lesson, and he teaches me carefully for an hour, and at the end he stretches well and takes care of my body. However, it is great to have activities other than just training on machines.

Our family wrapped up a 10 day trip to Bali in the Sofitel Hotel Nusa Dua. The resort was absolutely spectacular. We had an amazing Villa two bedrooms with our own pool. The property is well managed, and the pools were delightful. Our kids used the tennis courts and gym facilities. The spa was a good value and relaxing with nice services. We were blown away by the variety of the breakfast buffet. It was truly the best I’ve ever seen. The high tea in the afternoon and happy hour in the early evening were excellent ways to supplement your meals- this was included in our reservation.. The staff was amazing at remembering small details about your itinerary. Special shout out to Edy who knew us by name ans where we were throughout the resort and was there to offer us transportation or drinks. The staff is remarkable at attending to the guests and made us truly feel like VIPs. Many thanks for a great end to our Bali Vacation!

We stayed at this lovely hotel for 5 days and we relaxed immediately upon arriving and then just kept relaxing even more. The staff through the whole complex are so happy and friendly from the garden staff, cleaners and restaurant/hotel/pool staff. Our room was large and luxurious and Asih did a fantastic job with cleaning each day - it was a joy to come back to our room. She was so friendly and beautiful. The two pools are so picturesque with cabanas and plenty of shade. And just a quick walk across the path and you are at the beach.

We had a great time at the resort. We rented bikes to explore the area. Satria was friendly and helpful in finding us the right bike for us. It was a great way to explore the beach area from the resort.

After a four day stay for business, mostly at the convention center next door, the Sofitel has one major thing going for it - location in the Nusa Dua complex very near the convention center - you can walk. The hotel, same as my last stay, is about the same as it was. This trip was intense work negotiations and I would get back at 9pm or so each day. So, room service was used. Lots of flaws from getting the staff to answer the phone, to forgetting to bring glassware for the sparking water or a wine glass, and the dishes look hand washed and don’t exactly have a sparking appearance - in fact several glasses were downright dirty with residue from smoothies or who knows what else. Housekeeping is ok. Rooms are clean though don’t shine - but all days, something was forgotten, every day no washcloths (call). Two days no hand-towels. Last day, just a bath towel. In room coffee is a local brand compatible with the Nespresso machine, but each pod is chargeable from the MiniBar. Turn down - skipped one night. One night sort of done. One night the whole room got a second clean. In general it’s a fairly middling hotel with a staff that is not empowered and not well trained. Many are not particularly helpful. Maintenance is an issue - the hotel does not seem to be aging well and the faucets are stained, the tub in the room was cracking, the bathroom shower sprayed every way but down. Public areas are somewhat better; with staff more pleasant though not always great but some are standouts. Restaurants - vary - Cuicina is a bit of a dud mainly due to poor service and a push to take the set or formulaic content. The new beach restaurant seems pleasant. Manarai Beach House is great for a casual dinner; run by a prominent Jakarta group (in the hotel but completely separate) that does not gouge on wine prices unlike the hotel - the hotel has some of the cheapest wines on the market for a very high markup - you will do much better at Manarai. Check in/out was rather backed up on arrival. There are better places by far in Bali if you don’t need to be in the Nusa Dua Enclave. The hotel is convenient to the airport.
