Stayed here for 5 Nights on October 2020 during the pandemic. Booked our room months in advance during the "Pay Now, Stay Later" promotion and only paid for 3 Nights. Such a strange times to be in Bali and the resort seemed empty with no foreigner in sight, all seems to be "tamu lokal" - Local Indonesian Guest as what hotel staff will refer to. With virtually zero international tourism, this is definitely a huge wake-up call for all resorts in Bali (5-Star in particular) to not undermine Local Guest and provide the highest form of service to all guest regardless their nationality. Mulia Bali has clearly succeed in doing so, they truly gave us the highest form of hospitality and service. Since our arrival, we were welcomed by Pak Sonny and numerous other staffs that were very warm & welcoming. Check in process was straight forward and we were given an early check-in. The only downside was the welcome drink & towels that were actually a small bottle of water and packed wet towels. (still strange if hygiene & safety measures were the reason) Our Butler, Agus and Gusti is by far the friendliest and the most attentive staff we've ever encountered anywhere in Bali. Having stayed at numerous resorts ; Ritz Nusa Dua, W Seminyak, Ayana, Sofitel and even the new Apurva Kempinski, none of the staffs compared to the high standard of service given to us by Agus & Gusti. Perhaps, the single biggest reason for us to come back would be because of Agus' and Gusti's impeccable service. The Room. Originally booked The Baron Suite Ocean View at The Mulia (separate all-suite building) but were moved or "upgraded" (as they called it) to Royal Suite Beachfront Lagoon Access room at Mulia Resort due to The Mulia being temporarily closed. The room itself is located at the lowest floor overlooking the beach. The Lagoon pool is shared among 6 suites but luckily we were the only guest during our stay. The room was spacious but age clearly shows. TV Channels was not HD. There's a black old-looking power hub on the desk that initially doesn't work and had to reconnect the power adapter on the side of the desk myself. Walk-in closet was very spacious. Bathtub & showers were huge. Bed & Pillows were so comfortable. Sunday Brunch at Soleil was great, still the best brunch option in Nusa Dua. We had an amazing service by Shinta (or Sintya, could not remember the spelling). Both Ocean Pool on the main resort and Oasis Pool at the Mulia was huge and the pool staffs were very attentive. The downside, Mulia being originally from Jakarta, seems to bring Jakarta's formal and tense environment to Bali - with all the signs & warnings on the resort hallway, bedside table, desk, even on the on the patio - making it less warm & welcoming. In Conclusion, Mulia Bali is still one of the grandest resort in Nusa Dua and we would definitely comeback because of their hospitality and hopefully got to stay at The Mulia.

We decided to stay at The Mulia Bali Resort & Villas as a graduation present for our two daughters. As they have been nowhere else but home for almost 5 months (like everybody else in all parts of the world) we believed that staying at a nice resort would be a wonderful change. But of course we needed to ensure that wherever we go we would be safe and well protected from the threats of the COVID 19 virus. So I contacted Mulia Bali and asked them specifically about this matter. I was so pleased with the response as immediately I received thorough information completed with 3 videos that clearly explained all the health protocol measures carried out throughout the entire hotel facilities. So we decided to stay for two nights. And we were offered such a good deal as the 2 day package did not only include free breakfast for two per room per night (which is very common) but also a free dinner package for two per room as well as a huge cash-back credit per room (which enabled us to enjoy in-room dining and lunch without paying). Wow...!!! Above all else, the hospitality and service provided by all the staff was superb. What about the facilities? Truly world class. The only thing that made me sad was the fact there were very few guests around, as -- of course -- the pandemic has affected the world of tourism and travel. I really hope that people could and would start traveling again soon and that they too could enjoy such a wonderful stay here as my family just did. Thank you Mulia Bali for treating us so well and making us feel at home away from home.
