We stayed at The Bale for 3 nights. We had a little hiccup where Agoda removed our booking at the very last minute whilst we were travelling. The Bale nevertheless sent their driver to pick us up from the airport in the evening, rather than being caught by surprise with nothing arranged. Obviously we were displeased by the fact that Agoda was selling us a rate (without warning or checking) that wasn’t applicable to us and then just removed the booking. All was resolved thanks to the GM, Jose, the next morning so that we could go back into vacation mode. The property is about 20 years old, but the design could also fit any property just recently built. The Villa (deluxe) was very spacious and the bed super comfy. We loved the privacy of the walled garden with pool, loungers and a bale, so that even during rainy weather you’d be safe and dry outside. The Villa itself is quite large and the AC is doing a very good job. It’s nice that there also a large two-level communal pool next to the restaurant to get a change of scenery, or have your lunch there. The breakfast is a la carte, but very extensive and tasty. We also enjoyed our Indonesian dinner at the same restaurant. The beach is a 5-minute walk. Their own private section isn’t in operation at the moment, but there’s plenty of loungers with food and beverage service there to use. When we had dinner reservations or plans outside, they were ways keen to drop us off anywhere in the Nusa Dua area and also dropped us off at our next destination in Jimbaran. Would be go back to The Bale? Absolutely, without hesitation….we would just ensure to book directly with them next time.

We visited in September 2019 Prior to booking with Luxury Escapes we requested via Lux escape to accommodate us in Sep to coincide with another booking in Bali. The Bale were happy to do so (Original condition was to complete our stay til 30th June 2019). Secondly our in laws were also staying close by. The Bale staff were happy to allow them visit us regularly to our villa. The room was great Pool was superb, the day bed was so cosy and the food, cooked to order was sublime. We had a wonderful stay and wish to come back soon as soon as this pandemic is behind us. Thank you guys and wish you all the best.

Now i understand why this villa is only for honeymooners. I came with elder and kids because they open for family due to the pandemic situation. They just open a few days ago so there are lots of things to improve on the property. I was lost because no security on the parking lot and the sign of the lobby is not clear. Need to walk the stairs to get into the villa. A bit difficult when its raining. But once you get into the villa the service is fast apart from the tv and wifi need to be fixed. All requests handled smoothly. They are also very accomodating for the guests needs. For example they provide my mom the buggy because she cannot walk the stairs. Breakfast is delicious. Thanks to Jose, the manager and all the staffs.

This is my third stay at lifestyle retreats property. Stayed at the menjangan and phnom penh. Looking around for a place to stay in nusa dua and lifestyle retreats reminds me of their excellent service, that's why i decided to come here. + Its unbelievably huge. Everywhere you go, it feels spacious. It takes a while to get to your villa which is nice short walk. I can properly swim going back and forth without a problem here. + The villa design is just top notch and it feels like we're entering the house that won design competition. You can feel luxury and simplicity here. Really like direct access from the pool to the bathroom. + Staff gives excellent service for you. They even remember who you are. Pretty difficult when everyone is wearing a mask these days. And even with limited resource in pandemic, they still do their best. + Food is just amazing, somehow for breakfast my nasi goreng taste pretty much like the one on the street. Ate several food at the tapas restaurant and all tasted good. Especially the scallop. + The bale bengong is just amazing. Comes with a fan and comfy bed to help you stay there doing nothing for the whole day. + The equipment in the building are just top notch. Gotta give credit for yamaha amplifier and powerful Honeywell aircon. + bathroom is just excellent. 6 soaps to choose from, bath amenities is just so good. The best part of this i can watch tv from the bathtub + There is a private space for you to lay down on the beach. No worries for the beach lovers. + The maintenance they did to keep this building is just amazing. It's not a new building, but this is in a better shape compared to another newer villa and resorts. + It's nice to have a short talk with Jose luis calle (founder of the lifestyle retreats) about the feedback and tourism in bali these days. There is some negative aspects but i really don't care about it either. - Parking space is a bit limited. But who cares? Next time i will use their shuttle. Their shuttle is just amazing and will help you move around. - I wish the TV could have HD channel. but again i never watch the tv here, because i spend my day at bale bengong and looking into the clear sky of bali. If you're looking for privacy, serenity, luxury and top notch service, look no further. I planned to visit another property from lifestyle retreats.

Fabulous villa with pool. Perfect for that bit of privacy. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant with great choices. The staff were amazing! Room service available with lots to choose from. The Bale also has a private beach spot with complimentary water, tanning cream & a gold buggy to get you there. Fantastic stay and will definitely be visiting again.

We loved our stay at The Bale and would love to go back ever year. The staff were fabulous, the food was amazing and our villa as wonderful. The pool was heavenly and water so gentle there was no problem opening your eyes underwater when swimming. Spa treatments were excellent also. We loved that it was adults only too. No kids running riot. A perfect couples holiday to unwind and relax.

We booked last minute and were accommodated by the most wonderful team at the hotel. They assisted with an early arrival and guided us through the Villa and app (which is a super concept and really helpful). The most comfortable bed guaranteed a restful sleep every night. A highlight for me was the team at Faces Restaurant. They were subtle in their service and chatted freely with guests. The food was phenomenal and we regretted not eating their more frequently. The Beach Club is small but the privacy and butler on duty were welcome. Would have enjoyed an opportunity to have coffee with the Manager. Definitely would like to return again on our next trip.

We visited over Christmas and were delighted with the villa and amenities. I personally had 3 massages whilst there they were so good! Food was superb and service speedy. First class team, thoughtful and hard working. The villa wanted for nothing and because of the nature of the private villas you find the communal areas very quiet so you feel that the pace is yours alone. A very peaceful experience and one I would recommend highly.

Where to start?? We cannot praise this hotel enough. From the minute we were met at the airport to the minute we were dropped back at the airport, after a fantastic week, we were treated like royalty. Our driver gave us chilled flannels, water and fresh fruit once we were in the car. Once we arrived at the hotel we were given more chilled flannels and a delicious refreshing welcome drink. Much welcomed as it was so hot. Check in was easy and stress free. We were given the WiFi code and shown how to log in to the hotel’s app. It didn’t take us long to understand this and it worked really well. We looked at pictures of the hotel and rooms before our trip but nothing prepares you for how stunning this hotel is. Absolutely everything we needed was provided. When we went to breakfast at Faces restaurant the following morning we were greeted by several members of restaurant staff and very well looked after. All food was freshly prepared where you could see the chefs. The smoothie fruit bowls, pancakes and eggs benedict were especially delicious. We gave our room number on our first morning then were recognised and hardly need to be asked the rest of the week which was lovely. We met the manager on our second morning and each time he saw us after greeted us as though we were old friends. All staff were very helpful and attentive. They couldn’t do enough for us but didn’t pester us. Each day our room, pool and garden area were cleaned to a very high standard. The nets around the bed were closed and the bed turned down every evening, we especially loved the little cards left on the bed with relaxing quotes. If we had used the towels or beach towels during the day they were replaced in the evening and the room was tidied again. There was always plenty of water and soft drinks in the room. Fresh fruit and cookies were also replaced daily. We had plenty of tea and coffee in the room. We ordered room service for lunch a few times. This was so easy via the app and our food and drinks were the same high standard as if we had gone to the restaurant to eat. We also used the spa for massages and a facial. These were amazing. We used fluid bar on a few occasions and again excellent standard. We also ate at Tapa restaurant one evening which was delicious. As we had already booked a few trips before we arrived we didn’t need to book any trips through the hotel but we know they would have been of the same high standard. We did make use of a driver dropping us off at Bali collection one day for shopping and he was there within no time to pick us up once we were ready to go back. I could talk for so much longer about this fantastic hotel but wanted to give a small snapshot of it.
