We were 2 couples that stayed there for 1 night. All 4 of us were itchy for at least 2 days after. The other couple said they saw bugs, but we didnt. Don't know what that was about, but I know it is a dealbreaker. Air-quality didn't feel great as the room was tiny. When i connected to the wifi my computer said the router is out of date and not safe to use. The backboard of the bed is still covered in the packaging plastic it was shipped in.
Stayed at Ecostay Kuta for 5 nights and 6 days. The air conditioners were faulty and despite our complaints, the fix wasn’t done. So the rooms were hot and had to rely on the fans. The toilets/bathrooms were in poor condition. Small and poorly maintained. Will not recommend this place until they do further upgrades. The double beds were comfy and that’s the only positive review I can make for the place.
I came to stay here for 10 days in the spring of 2017 with a group of friends. We had previously booked an airbnb else where but it was not up to par so this was a last minute change (this is as bad as it gets). The host was attentive and warm. He gave us a bit of a tour in the place we were staying. Told us about the area. He helped us rent scooters. When we were out late, he would stay downstairs and wait for us until we safely came back. He made us feel comfortable. As a result, if we had any concerns, we could approach him about it and vise versa. All and all ay great experience!
Staff are friendly and helpful. Place is ok for maybe 1 or 2 nights stay. PROS: Room is spacious for 2 persons. Sitting area available in front of every room. Few minutes walk from Kuta Beach. Room is equipped with working small refrigerator, cabinet, side table, ceiling fan, aircon, and TV. Bathroom is spacious and has separate space for toilet and shower. Staff were very helpful in regards to suggestion for best restaurants to eat, places to visit, good money changer, etc. Their recommendations were really good. Toiletries are by request (tissue rolls, change of bath towels). CONS: Room has 6 bulbs - 4 above the bed, 1 above the ref in front of the bathroom, and 1 in the bathroom. However, in the room we occupied, only 1 of the 4 above the bed was working. Source of water for bidet in the toilet was leaking so the floor is wet 24/7. Hot water in the shower was no joke but the labels (cold and hot) were interchanged, hence, I almost got myself boiled. Also, rain shower head was a plus only if it was working really well. Water comes out of the rain shower head in some portions only (felt like trickle of water instead of the supposed rain effect). We stayed for more than a week and I don't know if room cleaning is by request but the most we got was they took the trash (in the trash can) out of the room. Also, not really the accommodation's fault, but there's an angry dog from a neighbor (a few meters from the place) that loves to chase passersby.…
Hotel is located near kuta beach road but in a very narrow lane. As taxi cannot go in the lane you have to carry your luggage to the hotel. There was no drinking water. We had to buy water from outside for all 7 days we stayed. That was expensive and difficult to carry. The bathroom was not drying up because of bad leveling. Broken showers. Room was alright. AC, fridge, hot kettle, cupboard, wifi etc. were available.
