As a couple you want to have a romantic time. This place was old, and run down considering what they thought was a bath, the size of the sink. The pool was not cleaned and there were too many mosquitoes to make this experience unfitting for a villa, so called luxury.

We had high hopes for this place, based on the photographs. However, on arrival, were sorely Disappointed. The access to the property is down a dirty drive way bordered by a disgusting stream which smelt awful. When we arrived no staff were on hand to greet us, We waited for 30 minutes before someone came over and said that the receptionist would be back from lunch ‘soon’ to check us in. Another 20 minutes later he arrived. It appeared that there was only 3 or 4 people working there. As we waited, we checked out the grounds. In the pictures it looks like a lush garden of very well maintained tropical plants and pathways. In reality however, this is not the case. The grounds were run down and everythi seemed to be lacking any care. The only saving grace was the glorious sunshine that made it appear slightly less glum. We were shown to our room which was at the back of the property in a corner. I booked a one bedroom villa but instead we were given one of the bedrooms in the very run down two bed villa. The roof was a mess and the floors were filthy. A real shame considering the furniture was all beautiful and traditional, just completely lacking any care. The bedroom doors don’t have a proper lock, instead they have a padlock or when you’re inside, a piece of wood to jam the door shut. Not very secure. The bedroom was big and spacious but the only window looked out onto the dirty back area of the property. We kept the curtains shut. The furniture in the room was all nice but the place was just dirty. The floors looked like they had never been mopped and the bathroom was covered in sand and dirt. The bathroom was basically outside with one wall replaced with two flimsy blinds. I’m sure a romantic topical ideal to be at one with nature but misjudged in this case as the back wall behind the bathroom was onto the main road. Safe to say I felt quite uncomfortable using the facilities. We were plagued by mosquitoes in the room and the AC was basically useless. The pool area was nice, better maintained than the rest of the grounds, however the pool itself needed a clean. On the descriptions for this place, it is advertised as a 25 minute walk to the beach or Seminyak square. Do no let this fool you! We asked the receptionist who advised a “5/10” minute walk to the beach and gave us the vaugest directions. We headed off and 45 minutes later made it to the beach after walking along some very dangerous roads. There are no footpaths until you reach central Seminyak. This place was completely isolated. For a bed to sleep in and if you’re willing to get taxis, or have a scooter, to head out and about, this place might be passable. Personally, I would suggest finding somewhere else.

This is a lovely resort to walk inyo with an amazing pool, staff who eill go above and beyond. Me and my partner stayed here for two week loving the space and tranquility. We found the aircon in the room to not be as cold as we like so to help the great guy on reception went out and bought us an additional fan. We also sound very piccy here but we were originally given an amazing open plan bedroom with walk in wardrobe and seperate bathroom however we didnt like other could access bathroom and do big had many mosquito. The staff do sprsy and try stop this but we found quite a lot of mosquitos do hover. Location the hotel is honest unless you have a scooter there isnt much in the area and its quite a walk to built up area but we had a scooter so no problem for us. Rooms cleaned every other day with towels. I would definetly stay here again but be mindful no resturant onsite but do have kitchen facilities and your room does have a fridge along with kettle etc hair dryer in my room wasnt great but better than nothing. Hope this helps.

Stayed here for a week in March 2016 as a solo traveller. I was glad I'd screen shotted the google maps location of the guesthouses as the taxi driver had little idea of the location! The room was huge and generally gorgeous, I was one of the only people staying there at the time so the place was incredible tranquil... the gardens were luscious and relaxing within them by the pool was absolute bliss. The owner kindly gave me a lift to the beach a couple of times (10 minutes in car) which was incredibly kind and would not accept payment. All in all a wonderful stay, the place really lives up to its' name. Melissa, 22.

The villas are absolutely stunning, so much more than we expected, marble everything carved wood, four poster beds... the villa is great value for money and the staff are so lovely. Feane saw us into our rooms with huge smiles and did everything he could to accomidate us, he even insisted on driving us to he beach one evening and for breakfast the next morning, such a great guy. Everyone stay here, its well worth it, once we have been around Bali we will be returning for a couple more nights to chill out. 😄😄😄
