I rated this hotel as a 5 stars because it is exactly what I was expecting for a 3.5 hotel rating. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do offer a daily American breakfast with a small surcharge if you want noodles or fried rice you need to let them know the day before. The rooms are spacious and very accommodating and inviting. We stayed there for the month of November and most of December. This should tell you that this is a good hotel especially at the daily price point. If you need airport transportation they can assist in getting this arranged. You will see the hotel manager onsite and working with his team versus just being a manager. We are already to plan our trip again next year and would stay at Pondok Sari again. Yes they’re more lavish hotels but you will see this in the daily rooms rates, but Pondok Sari Hotel provided everything that I needed. Uding the manager has a great team of staff. Good Job. We are so grateful to all the staff. We were treated like family, the pool is gorgeous, the rooms stunning and the place looks just like the photos. Any minor issues were immediately resolved. It's located on a quiet and safe alleyway just a few minutes walk from a bustling main streets in either direction. Fountains tinkle gently in corners. It's also just ten minutes from the airport but we barely heard planes. It's cooler than the surrounding area thanks to the lush trees. We couldn't have been happier; the kids didn't want to leave!

The manager and staff are very kind and attentive. They were very helpful in handling special requests. There are also trees and flowers around the pool to feel the nature. It was an amazing experience to stay in this hotel especially for solo traveler because they have good price and really valued for money, the location close from the airport (approx 15 min by walk), and have a natural Balinese ambience. A perfect resort.. Typical Balinese bungalows, very large. The complex's park is magnificent, full of flowers and trees, decorated very locally. The hotel overlooks the beach, with deckchair and table... The restaurant is very good (small downside in the morning with a rather "weak" breakfast compared to the rest), and you can have lunch/dinner on the beach. The hotel also benefits from a "nautical" center where you register directly to go diving or snorkelling, so it's very easy and on site... you take the boat directly to the hotel beach. I recently stayed at the Pondok Sari with my son. We both loved the hotel. It's within walking distance of the main drag and beaches in Kuta but far enough away for a very peaceful stay. The garden and swimming pool are very nice and maintained expertly. The rooms come with a lot of amenities including a kettle, iron and board, hairdryer, and water dispensers for the guests to use. The rooms are kept to a very high standard and cleaned every day, with fresh, clean, bed linen and towels. If you want a quiet night in with a delivery meal the TV has more than enough channels, in various languages, to keep you entertained. The staff are lovely, helpfull, and very friendly all of the time. I highly recommend this very reasonable hotel and we'll be staying there again.
