Stayed here 1 night and it did the job. Hot water, good air-con and a comfy bed for a decent price. Good wi-fi too. Staff were really friendly and helpful. A little hard to find at first but so are many other places in Kuta. There are a couple of mini marts and a decent Warung the next street over if you want to avoid the noisy party strip. Cheers!
We stayed at Pondok 3 for two weeks and were pleasantly surprised! The rooms are modern and cleaned daily, they also changed the towels (which made me VERY happy) ... the A/C was COLD and the desk staff were very friendly! The location was walking distance to the main road, beach, restaurants and local warungs. It took us a week to find this place on Booking.Com and it is where we ended up staying as every other place in this price range was terribly dirty and old. Pondok 3 Mertha was our "home base" and I highly recommend it if you're looking to stay in a clean, budget-friendly and centrally located hotel. There is also a laundry mat located right next door, which is a plus! HOT TIP: be sure to stop by the juice stand just at the very end of the road (only 1 min from the hotel) SO GOOD! They open every morning around 8AM and have the BEST fresh juices in Kuta. The juice stand did not even have a name (or I'd list it here) but trust me, you cannot miss it. Prices are 10,000 to 15,000 Rupiah per cup and get the Orange Juice - sounds simple, but it is the best OJ I've ever had! Ever ✨…
Highly recommend this place! The room and hotel was very modern. It was walking distance from all the nightlife and action of Kuta. The staff here went above and beyond to accommodate us and make us feel welcomed and comfortable. If you have the chance to book a room at this place do so ASAP! Clean room, great shower, comfortable beds and big size room with a nice sitting area out front. Great wifi too!
I stayed at this place twice, once in the beginning of July, once end of July. The location is great. It is at a side road well behind the loud touristic road of Kuta. Sometimes you hear a bit of party music, but definitely not loud enough to be disturbing. You walk one minute and are in the middle of everything, all the restaurants, bars, clubs, shops and so on. The rooms are all with A/C (powerful), a big bed, two bedside table, a TV, a table, functional toilet with flush, a sink and even hot water. In my opinion, the room as well as the bathroom was very luxurious. Also, it was rather clean. The staff is friendly and always smiling. Especially the manager is very fond of helping. I had to extend my visa and he gave me some great tips on how to get it faster and easier. I rented a motorbike for 70'000 IDR per day. The price of the accommodation is great, we paid around 185k per night for two people. So all in all, a modern homestay with great rooms, superb location, fair prices and very friendly staff.…
I asked the staff if I could have a room for when I came back to kuta. They said it's OK. I asked if it's the same price and they said yes. Later that day they told me the rooms are full and I have to make an online booking. When checking online I told them that I can book a room, so it's not full. The guy said that his boss told him that. The next day I checked out and went to another hostel.
