On arrival we were presenting with a warm welcome and the process for the room was quick and easy. Loved how clean everywhere is, staff were always about cleaning. Every member staff will always let onto you when they see you. We stayed in the villa, it was amazing! Very private and secure. There’s also a choice of the main pool as well and that is very nice and aesthetically pleasing. There is a free shuttle bus to the beach everyday as well. No ask is too much and they have great local knowledge. Would highly recommend!

I stayed in the 1 bedroom Spearmint villa. It was exactly as pictured on the website. It was spotlessly clean. I felt very safe and secure. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very helpful.

THE LEAF JIMBARAN We are currently in Bali staying at The Leaf Jimbaran. This is our first stay of four properties purchased through Luxury Escapes. After a smooth flight with QANTAS and out into an even larger updated arrival hall at Ngurah Rai airport. The e-Visa was no problem but first shock was at customs when the guy advised us we had been scammed as customs declarati0na re free in Bali. We had paid $84 each – my fault, I should have known better having been to Bali over 20 times previously (be warned, I thought I was using the official site). Transport was waiting and off into the night winding up the hill until we came to the proverbial “goat track” and bounced from pot hole to pot hole. It was only a short distance and we found out later it was actually a private road and the owner was holding out for the government to fix it! Reception was fine and after the usual sweet sticky welcome drink we were taken up to our room, sorry villa. I had forgotten just how well the Balinese do gardens, lush growth all along the pathways winding through the property. The villa was just how it was shown in the photos, private lap pool separating the kitchen/sun lounge area from the accommodation. The villa is one long room approx. 15 x 7m with floor to ceiling glass walls on three sides, lounge area inside the door and bed at the far end with a TV cabinet separating the two – the TV rotates so you can watch it from the bed or lounge. The TV is basically Indonesian, however I did find Netflix and ABC iView through the apps. Through to the bathroom, open ended with shower and toilet at one end, all glassed in, and bath overlooking the pool at the other with wardrobe and basin in the middle. All very nice, very clean, at least on the surface it is Bali after all, and why we love it. Maintenance is not big in Bali, never has been, but it appears that maybe the staff are not as well trained as pre-Covid which is understandable. Talking of the staff they are just as warm, genuine and gentle as we remember them. I have attempted to learn Bahasa and they are very impressed and want to engage me in conversation all the time. I do think they appreciate the effort, I have become used to saying I only know “sedikit – a little” when I am talking to them. There is a shuttle twice daily to Jimbaran beach which is THE place to go for seafood on the beach while watching the sunset each day. Other than that there is not much to do around the resort, there are no restaurants within walking distance and only a small general 24 hour store outside the gate for the essentials, like beer and snacks. We were directed to a larger store for more shopping by the staff, a short taxi drive away. No problem with the store but there are no taxis anywhere near this local shopping area for the return journey, it took us over an hour to get a taxi that happened to park near us, certainly no offer of help from the shop, make sure you have a local sim to contact the taxi company, lesson learned. If we had a small gripe it is with the dining at The Leaf. It is OK don’t get me wrong, but the menu is limited and not very expansive. We had a “free” three course dinner and nightly cocktail as part of our package. The cocktails were limited as was the dinner menu compared to the standard menus. The bonus dinner had a set menu which contained three seafood dishes and the rest vegetarian, ironically the main menu had only one seafood dish, in the land of seafood. I don’t eat seafood and asked to have a meat alternative that I would pay for. That caused great consternation and discussions with the manager, I finally was offered a pizza which I accepted. Overall, I would recommend The Leaf. The villas are great, there is a main pool and small gym, massage spa, rooftop bar and the staff are great. One other thing if you are travelling on a package, ours with Luxury Escapes, and transfers are included. All the transfers are between the airport to the hotel and /or return. If you are going to another hotel rather than the airport it seems to be a problem. The forms used only got to / from airports and you have to negotiate anything else. I am still in an email war at the moment and we leave tomorrow. It shouldn’t be that hard. Three more hotels to go, but hey it is Bali and everything is in Bali time and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

We wanted a relaxing family holiday and that is exactly what we found at the Leaf. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. We had a 2 bedroom villa, which was perfect for our family of 4. The beds were soooo comfortable, the bathrooms were spacious and very clean, the kitchen was ample for our needs. The kids loved swimming in our private pool and enjoying a floating breakfast on our last day. Each and every one of the staff members were so kind and welcoming. The reception staff looked after everything we needed, booking dinner reservations, suggesting day trips and answering all of our questions. The gardens are incredible. They are so clean and maintained beautifully. The housekeeping team and friendly efficient. The bar and waitstaff became friends, learning our names and helping us learn Balinese phrases. The ladies in the spa spoiled us and were so kind. The GM obviously looks after her team well and we noticed improvements to the hotel spaces while we were staying that all looked great. The location was out of the way but we didn’t mind. It is easy to get a driver or just use grab. We would happily come back and stay at the Leaf again.

I must admit I don't often write reviews but having just stayed at the Leaf Jimbaran, I felt that owed it to the staff to write one. They were all lovely, always smiling, so friendly and accommodating. I just cannot and will not fault them. So to the resort. Not the best location and you will need transportation to get anywhere. The hotel offers a transport to the beach but other than that you will need a driver or taxi which is not too much of a problem as they are relatively inexpensive. A motorbike taxi is also an option if you are brave enough!!! Walking for us however was not an option as traffic is manic :( Back to the hotel, yes it's not perfect and the most modern but there is charm and character. The villas are great and so much better than the usual hotel room. You have a lovely little lap pool which can be exhilarating first thing in the morning or before bed. A bit of a shock to the system but well worth it :) The bedroom/lounge, bathroom were all sizable (especially the bed - huge) and well equipped although not everything worked or the best condition but we did not care. It was a little indulgence and we loved it. Walking to the villas through the leafy corridors felt so tropical. The main pool was a nice setting too and you must try the massages.. fabulous. The ladies really made you feel special. There are if course better hotels and resorts but Leaf Jimbaran was always nice and quiet, relaxing and a welcome break from our usual busy schedule. So,4 star from us, with one star only being lost for location. Thank you Leaf Jimbaran 👍

My wife and I stayed at the Leaf, Jimbaran 9th-16th June 2023. From the moment we arrived, we were immediately taken by a) the beauty of the resort and b) the friendliness of the staff. Check in was swift and we were soon in our stunning Spearmint Villa. The room was very spacious with everything that you could wish for. The large private pool with spacious decking was perfect for relaxing during the day. The rooftop bar was a lovely place to be in the evening.

Luxury Escapes deal with 67% off made us to book this place. Been to Bali 4 times before and never to Jimbaran area, but I am glad I gave it a go. It is quite isolated but very tastefully designed villas. It could do with a refurbishment. Very dissapointed with the access by road there, streets are very narrow, 90 degrees angle and full of scooters. Road full of holes and unsealed areas. It took us an hour and 15 minutes to get to Uluwatu fora trip of approx 20 minutes drive. So if you wish to go for a sunset to Uluwatu make sure you leave early in the afternoon to get there, as everybody want to do exactly that! Staff was very attentive and typically Balinese kind and relaxed. Beautiful!! Beds are very confortable and i had fantastic sleep all 5 days. The only downside was a swimming pool in villa - tiles were loose on the floor and if not careful, you would cach them with your toes. Depth only 1.20m so this needs to be looked at and repaired before someone looses nails there. Free coctails included in a deal were OK, breakfasts substantial, wirh variety to choose from.
