What else can I say, wow, this place is the true definition of heaven on earth. Once you get in here, I don’t think you would have any motivation to get out…

Almost like a sanctuary, where everyone is so friendly and kind, and the gardens and places are perfectly manicured, two nights here is definitely not enough. I think to celebrate a special occasion, and if this is your first visit, especially in the villa you would need at least 4 nights to enjoy everything this complex has to offer. If you stay at the villa, you will have access to a buggy which you will need to access the massive complex. I didn’t know this when booking and wish I allocated more time here!!! The villa itself has an old charm to it , but it is clean and kept well, and I can see that this place is very popular for Korean couples and families for some reasons (?)

The friendly and helpful butlers will be available on whatsapp, and they will drive you around. Special mention to our hardworking butlers Yudi and especially Gungde for accomodating our ever evolving requirements as the day progressed. We cannot be more grateful for their patience and quick solutions to ensure the experience on the resort was unforgettable. No request is too small or too big, and the attention to detail is impeccable - you will feel very special.

There are many things to do and see here, like the private Kubu Beach, Axioo to take photos of families staying in the villa / complex, little shops, restaurants (with international prices), numerous pools, a flower garden, rock bar, and even a museum. Perfect place for special occasions or when you just need some ‘healing’, this place will forever hold a special place in our hearts and we will be back. Thank you !!!!

Loved the villa. The aircon was cold which is amazing considering how hot Bali is. The private pool was amazing. We spent almost all day there.

Now the resort.. Oh My! 1 week is not enough! We only went out once during our stay there.

The Rock bar has a pretty good view but very crowded not worth the hype, in my opinion.

The Villa comes with our own pribate butler who was a phone call away. We were picked up in a buggy to go around the resort, including to Ayana Rimba as well as Ayana's private beach which was very clean.

I highly recommend the Villas instead of hotel room during busy season so you dont have to queue to hop on the bus to go from point to point.

So many to explore so if you are the type who enjoys staying in the hotel instead of going out all day, I would definitely be recommending this

We stayed at the Villas for two nights and had nothing but the best experience. We were celebrating our marriage and my wife’s birthday, and the hotel staff did everything to make our visit feel as special as possible.

Starting with Aldi at the front desk, he noted the special occasions and helped surprise my wife with flower petals in the bath and a birthday cake in the room.

Our butlers, Arta, Awan, and Rusti all gave us top-notch service with big smiles, shuttling us where we needed to go and making helpful suggestions on what we could do around the resort. Wherever we went, the staff recognized us and made us feel at home.

Our food server at Padi, named Nara, always greeted us by name and made great food suggestions to accommodate my wife’s dietary restrictions.

At Rock Bar, we found our two favorite bartenders in the world, Bayu and Dewa. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable about Balinese culture and history, and they made delicious cocktails for us both days we went. Bayu was very genuine and gave great suggestions on resort activities. Dewa made tasty custom drinks for us and showed us some videos of his flair skills. As a suggestion, it would be really cool to see Dewa showcase his flair skills at Rock Bar. A demonstration like that would take the bar experience to the next level! Both Bayu and Dewa made us laugh and feel welcome our entire trip.

We also visited the River Pool multiple times and Sheryl always remembered us. She chatted with us and made sure we were comfortable each time.

Lastly, the facilities as a whole were pristine. Housekeeping was fast and left the villa spotless. The AYANA grounds were also well-maintained and we felt safe and welcome wherever we went.

Thank you to all the staff for making our visit extra special. We can’t wait to come back!

This place was a miss for us. There were too many bugs and mosquitos in the Villa, some dead most alive. Killed a couple of roaches in the bathroom in the middle of the night. The bathroom outside of the bugs was spacious with a large soaking tub, and was our favorite part of the room. But that part of the room doesn’t have air conditioning so it was difficult to enjoy it.

If you book a Villa room there is a great sit down breakfast restaurant called Dava. However it was always full because the resort also sells seats to non Villa hotel guests.

The resort up charges for everything. Spa facilities like the pools there are an additional fee, corkage fees at the pool if you’re celebrating and want to bring a bottle of something.

The Rock bar is cool, but they would only allow you to make a 5 o’clock reservation. No exceptions. It should be mentioned, the sun is very intense so be prepared. They provide handheld umbrellas, but it’s not the most comfortable situation until the sun is down. Also, there were ants all over the bar where your food and drinks are.

We did love all the employees they always provided a friendly service with a smile, but seemed overworked and stretched thin, which we understood due to current word situation. The buggy service included in the Villa was a great feature. We got the vibe that the Ayana company were more about making money then about the service they provide.

The Villas at Ayana are like heaven on earth for us. we come back every year to the same Villa. And we have the same amazing butlers who take such good care of us - Bagus, Agus, Wira and Surya. they even help with unpacking. at the gym there is Dewa Oka with his amazing team who do incredible stretching exercises for us. the Villas themselves are beautiful with marble floors and bathroom finishes, comfortable bed, a living room and a bale, outside room which looks over the Indian Ocean. This is a reward for us and we highly recommend it.

We booked a suite but the hotel updated us to a villa which is amazing! We've been many hotels and resorts in Bali, such as W hotel, four-seasons, Mandapa and etc. However Ayana is the biggest and interesting resort we ever have. We also has a personal buttler which 24-7 stand by for us, they have clothes shops, hair saloon, and ATM here. Our buttler Satria gave us a chocolate and a bag of local coffee before we leaving which is very sweet.
Ayana is also a kids friendly place, plenty activities and places for kids to explore and also has good gym.
Anyway we will definitely come back next vacation.

We enjoyed the quality of the service, the food - especially the dinner at the Japanese restaurant and our breakfast at Dava! The spa was a real treat, we particularly recommend our masseuse Debora who was very knowledgeable and professional. Some of the best massages we’ve had so far. Our butlers took great care of us, especially Arta who was extremely kind and accommodating. He spent a magical honeymoon thanks to him!

Our villa was beautiful and the view wonderful! The staff took great care of it and we loved spending time there!

On the minus side, the resort is a little too « resort-y » for us - extremely big and therefore at times crowded: we couldn’t enjoy some of the facilities due to that. Rock bar is gorgeous indeed (well the vue), but far too crowded and far too many umbrellas, we couldn’t even enjoy the view as most of the guests were blocking it with their umbrellas, unfortunately.

Dear saraW9690GI, First of all, I would like to say congratulations on your wedding and thank you for choosing our resort as a destination to celebrate your special day. It was such an honor for us to participate in making your honeymoon a memorable one. It is a pleasure to read about your fond memories of your stay at The Villas at AYANA Resort, from the moment of arrival. I am glad that you enjoyed the service from your personal butler, the spa therapies at Thermes Marins Spa Bali, the extensive selection of restaurants, and Rock Bar where we provide sunset bookings exclusively for our Villa guests. Regarding AYANA’s legendary hospitality, I will share your delightful comments for Debora and Arta about your service experience with our team. It is always very satisfying for them to know how much their service contribution can upgrade a guest’s holiday. The small details count, especially in the delivery of authentic five-star hospitality, and I thank you for bringing these to my attention. It is always the highlight of my day to read about the wonderful experiences guests have had while visiting one of our resorts. As a passionate service professional, I also enjoy learning about what may not have worked out perfectly during a guest’s stay, so thank you for your heartfelt comments. Although we aim for excellence at all times, there are certain factors that can be out of our control. We try to create a relaxing ambiance that allows guests to truly unwind from the day-to-day back home, and I apologize that you were disturbed during your holiday. Your feedback is important to us, and we take every word to heart. Thank you for acknowledging our resort with such a wonderful review. The TripAdvisor community benefits from honest reviews such as this, so thank you for sharing. We look forward to welcoming you back for another remarkable stay, and please don’t forget to check in with our event calendar as we feature many exciting guest chef dinners throughout the year. We absolutely loved our 5 nights staying at the Villas and never wanted to leave! the Villa is very well appointed with stunning views of the ocean its own private pool and daybed plus your own butler. We had 3 weeks in Bali and finished our holiday at the beautiful Ayana Resort we were in a king room and after a minor issue with the smoke alarm going off the lovey Manager Saipul upgraded our room to one of the stunning Villas which was such a delight that we increased our stay to 5 nights. I wish I had stayed there the whole 3 weeks as the beach (Kubu) is stunning plus the location is handy enough to sight see the rest of Bali from there while enjoying the beauty and friendly staff at Ayana. We also loved the kids pool and slide and even the pool at the sister hotel Rimba and the hyro therapy spa! Best resort in Bali!! Thanks to everyone at Ayana we cant wait to return!

We had an excellent experience at Ayana Villas Bali from beginning to end.

Pros:
*The property is huge, with plenty of variety of dining options to choose. Also, you can travel by tram to other Ayana properties to experience their restaurants, bars, and pools (as a Villa guest, but I’m not sure if that applies to other properties).
*We booked directly on Ayana website, so we received 10% discount on all food and beverages as well as spa treatments.
*Rock Bar has a breathtaking sunset view
*So many pools to choose from we didn’t go to all of them over a 5nt stay, plus Kubu Beach (private to Ayana)
*Villas are very clean as is the entire property with evening turn down service

Cons
*Kisik Seafood BBQ, while very good and experience was great, offered a Wagyu steak that was pricey and absolutely not Wagyu beef. However, all other beef entrees we had at other restaurants were completely fine and as advertised.

Special mention:
*Literally every staff member was extremely polite and welcoming and helpful. We have travelled to many places in the world and the people in Bali are the nicest we have ever encountered anywhere.
*Bagus was our main butler. He made all the difference in making our stay extra special. He was very helpful with reservations, prompt pick up, arranging special requests, etc. He was very thoughtful about making our stay as extraordinary as he could.

We will return to Ayana specifically for the special mentions. As nice as the hotel is, the experience we had because of the exceptional staff (regardless of what venue or role: restaurants, spa, butler, attendants, groundskeepers).

The villas we booked had breakfast included- there is an option for a la carte breakfast at the Ayana Villas ( again it was included in the Villa nightly rates.). Our experience had been that it was more cost effective to have inclusive of breakfast rates.

From what we saw, it had a great Rock Bar, but that was not suitable for swimming. Ayana has many wonderful swimming pools. We stayed at Ayana Villa which had a private pool. The Ayana Rimba Hotel in the complex, does have some kids swimming with kids play beach. Ayana Resorts are very high quality, otherwise!
