This is a beautiful resort filled with beautiful staff who cater to your every need!
We traveled with two young kids recently and stayed at Ayana resort -Segara for six days and it was exceptional! From the beautiful new rooms that were always well maintained, and decorated, with marvelous views of the Indian Ocean to the abundance of pools, restaurants and fun activities… this resort is top notch!
What makes it even more amazing is the staff who go above and beyond to ensure your stay is as comfortable & as relaxing as ever!
As we arrived we were greeted by the staff who had stayed late to welcome us with tasty welcome drinks and flower garlands- thank you Barli. Then to the rooms ….-Barli, Muliani and the housekeeping staff had ensured we had two beautifully decorated rooms which said “Welcome home” , complimentary Indonesian cakes to celebrate our anniversary, chocolates, fresh fruit and gifts for the kids!
Cots for the kids and bath tubs were also set up and ready to go. Housekeeping staff had gone above and beyond to deliver that gold class customer service experience. We were amazed from the start.
We have to give many thanks to Muliani, Barli, Chandra,Ditya , Donna, Putra from Ayana Segara housekeeping for always going that extra mile for us to make us comfortable as ever! You made it feel like home for us! Thanks for organising everything for us and for ensuring every need was attended to! Rooms were very beautiful, tidy, clean/spotless and anything we needed was provided immediately!
I especially loved the flower petal bath that was created for me as an anniversary treat.
Special and HUGE Thanks Muliani who not only helped with housekeeping but also did a lot of babysitting for us. This was our second time with Muliani and she went above and beyond to look after my son! She is an amazing individual who is kind and caring and so good with our kids! I highly recommend her!!! Her experience with children is exceptional. Thank you so much Muli! We really appreciate all your help and you made sure we could relax and actually enjoy the holiday …without you this wouldn’t have been possible for us and thank you so much for your honestly, caring nature and for being an amazing person inside and out- someone we could trust to look after our son and previously our daughter!
We highly recommend Muliani! She is a senior staff member who knows the resort inside out and knows what she is doing!
Other staff members who stood out and went above and beyond were Risma at guest relations and Yanthi. These individuals made sure everything was booked before we arrived-airport pick ups/drop offs, rooms, baby items, activities for kids and adults- thank you for making it so easy for us!
Special thanks to Tony at Scusa restaurant for making our date night simply the best! He made sure to recommend dishes, drinks, got our food delivered quickly and explained about the meals and how they were made! Thanks a lot Tony! Amazing service! You made our night!
The restaurant is also very beautiful.
Mika, Gusti, Putu, Eric- Karang restaurant and Scuris - pool/bar Segara. These people delivered world class customer service each time we dine at karang or at the pool side. They ensured the kids had special meals and everything we ordered or required was delivered promptly and the food and drinks were divine! The service these individuals delivered is truly remarkable! It is spectacular hospitality and service! Thank you for making each experience truly special and for giving that 200%!!!
Overall I rate this hotel 10/10 and the staff 20/10!

My family and I had the most wonderful stay over Christmas and New Year at Ayana. It was honestly like staying in Paradise. There were many festive touches to celebrate Christmas (such as a Balinese children's choir singing carols, Santa visiting the swimming pools on Christmas Day and many special dining options) and there were some totally AWESOME and INSANE New Year's Eve parties which were so much fun!
There are staff everywhere, and they are very friendly and would do anything for you. They would remember our names, and that we had been there the day before. We found the management very visible, friendly and approachable.
The buildings and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained, so many staff constantly sweeping, weeding, planting and trimming. So many ornamental ponds and waterfalls and fountains and beautiful gardens.
We found the food in all the restaurants to be of an extremely high quality. Italian, Asian, Chinese, Japanese, Steak, Seafood, Mexican food all very authentic, fresh and of the highest quality.
There are many gorgeous swimming pools, infinity and ocean view, to choose from, and try and the beach is beautiful too. The gym and spa are similarly of a super high standard.
My slight criticisms are that the resort needs an informal Western dining lunch restaurant. We struggled to find this food some days for a casual lunch unless we ate at the pool, couldn't eat it at a restaurant. Also, we would have liked to have been able to walk more between the various sites rather than rely on the trams but there didn't seem to be any marked paths.
But overall we had the most marvellous stay at Ayana.

We didn’t stay at Ayana, just too expensive for us on our budget. But we decided we would visit the Aquatonic pool. Two hours of sheer water massaging bliss. Twelve stations throughout the pool, with jets that hit nearly every part of your body to give you a relaxed feeling at the end. The staff upon arriving were ever so helpful and during the whole time we were there as well. We came prepared with a big bag to hold towels and other gear, but you don’t need towels, they provide a towel in each spot. Pool and change rooms. Lockers are provided in the change rooms. If you’re just visiting the pool, keep your jewellery at your hotel. They ask you to remove it all as the jets are strong enough to break them off and it’ll be too hard to find in the pool. They don’t allow cameras or GoPros or anything like that. They ask that no photos are taken at the pool. Other than that, a fantastic experience, one that we won’t forget, and one we will definitely enjoy again next time we go to Bali. Highly recommended and from what I was told, great for Sunset massage.
Could be worthwhile for Ayana to provide a map of the area to the visiting drivers, especially new drivers to the resort, as we got lost trying to find the pool.

For our last night in Bali we wanted a luxury hotel not far from the airport to lounge by the pool in peace before a long flight back to London.
The Ayana was recommended by a friend who had been many times and it did not disappoint! What a stunning place!
The security was very tight on arrival which I always like and the grounds of the hotel and enormous and beautifully kept.
You are greeted very enthusiastically with flower reefs on arrival by the friendliest of staff. The room was beautiful and well thought out and the beds were so comfortable that we had a 7pm disco nap before dinner... and didn’t wake up before 2am missing our dinner reservations 😂
The breakfast the next day was a lovely buffet on a coy filled river and we spent the day drinking cocktails by the beautiful sea pool with infinity view on the sea, then by one of the other many pools by the river with overflowing sections and luxuriant vegetation. The staff at the spa were absolutely wonderful and beyond helpful.
We had a dinner at the Rock bar just before leaving for the airport and despite being a memorable experience with a stunning sea view, the food and cocktails were disappointing and overpriced (except the deserts which were delicious) but we may just have been unlucky in what we ordered and I would still very much recommend the Ayana.

Very nice resort with a lot of facilities that made us not wanting to go out :)
Room is clean, can be more sound proof
Love the private beach and the pool. Gorgeous!
Food is rather at the high end ceiling, but if we are craving for local food order from outside is possible.
Spa also amazing, tried the aqua tonic therapy
And as it’s during pandemic, i appreciated the health and hygiene protocols implemented by the hotel.

We stayed in an ocean view room with a private balcony. The room was clean and included bottles of water and bathroom supplies. By staying at Ayana you have access to the pools and restaurants of Rimba and the Villa’s. The tram service that takes you between destinations leaves regularly and was super easy to navigate. The resort uses an app where you can track where the trams are, message reception, book a table at a restaurant/bar or book a spa treatment. Compared to other places we’ve stayed in Bali we found some of the prices on the higher end - for example a spa treatment costs around NZD$260+ and a regular coffee was NZD$10. However, having access to 10+ gorgeous pools was amazing!!!! and we easily spent 2 days at the resort drinking gorgeous cocktails at the pools. The staff were all super friendly and happy to help.

We are currently staying at the Ayana and are extremely disappointed so far. We expected a 5 star hotel, especially with the high cost of the room per night, however what we’ve experienced is bad service and a lot of frustration.
When looking for certain pools or restaurants we have been sent to the wrong sister hotels - staff don’t seem to understand and send us to all different places. Navigating this place is hard with very little signage so asking the staff and to be sent to the wrong hotels and locations is very annoying.
Throughout the stay we’ve tried multiple times to get through to the duty manager or room service on our hotel phone. However, no one has been picking up the phone (we’ve tried lots of times!) - never have I experienced this in a 5 star hotel before.
Ayana, please resolve these issues!

Dear M2228EHkatiep, Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your current stay at AYANA Resort and Spa, BALI. We are very sorry that you experienced difficulties in navigating our pools and restaurants that are spread in 3 different properties. We actually provide a resort map upon check-in that covers our entire integrated resort facilities. Also for your convenience, we offer an AYANA Hotel app that consists of all the details of our resort as well as an interactive map and a live chat function that is available in most language and monitored 24 hours a day. Regarding the phone line, allow me to further investigate since we did not receive any similar issue from other guest. As Bali’s biggest resort, we strive to provide the best product and services for our guests to make their stay hassle-free. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please do not hesitate to contact our team members directly or through AYANA Hotel app should you require further assistance. Kind regards, Stefan Fuchs General Manager

We stayed at the Ayana Resort for 7 nights. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and a cold towel, which after traveling felt really nice. The resort was beautiful and very well maintained, you can see staff all day working hard to make the place look neat and tidy.
They have an app that has all the information about the different properties on the resort, shuttle times and concierge desk for reservations and questions. you can access it prior to your arrival.
The staff was welcoming always smiling and saying hi and available for any questions.
Our room was clean and serviced 2X a day with fresh towels if requested and glass water bottles, night service they would close blinds replenish water if needed and set up the bed. All housekeeping would remove their shoes before entering the rooms.
We were able to enjoy the majority of the pools(some are adult only pools), do be aware that some the pools are instagram worthy and will get some people who will do full on photo sessions. Eventually you can kind of just have to make your way through. We were able to get lounge chairs quickly when full.
We did the floating breakfast which was nice the pool happened to be empty at the time so we really got to enjoy it, the food was delicious and very well portioned.
we tried the breakfast at the different resorts and the best was Rimba, the ambiance and food choices were great. some things are the same at all, but there are minor differences.
Our meals at Sami Sami, Kerang (Segara) were our favorite. ROCKBAR was amazing sunset and drinks. Kubo beach is nice watch out for the monkeys and depending on the tide you may not be able to swim.
We want to give a special thanks to Risma, who welcomed us and also was there when we checked out, she give us a little going away gift for our anniversary. To Erma for keeping our room clean and Yuni at Sami Sami who was nice to give us a special dessert also for our anniversary. and to the whole staff that helped and serviced us at the pools and restaurants.
Yes food is expensive but you are at a resort, if you would like to change things up there's a mall with various food choices about 12 mins drive.
Highly recommend a stay there if you're looking for relaxation and away from the hustle and bustle.

I actually visited in Jan 2017 but the drop down menu didn’t accommodate this.
This is a very beautiful resort. There’s a mini shuttle that takes you to a private beach.
My room was beautiful & luxurious & I had sofas in the balcony which I used often.
The room service was excellent & the massages - you must have their massages - were divine!
They had a pool/ I can’t remember what it’s called. It is a fitness one. It makes you do exercises. I loved it, my one regret was I discovered it only on time to have one go in it.
I spent NY here & there was a live band & the dinner was lovely. They make sure you don’t feel alone.
The staff is extremely attentive. The surroundings are beautiful.
The hotel made a mistake with my booking. My flight arrived in the early hours of the morning & they got the days mixed up, I waited forever at the airport & had to call someone in london to call Ayana. So make sure that if you are arriving in the early hours of the morning that you double check you will be picked up. I was also told I had to pay extra for a room as technically I had arrived a day early. The manager said as a measure of good will he would charge me only half price. I had had a long holiday. I had already done Dubai Mumbai Bangkok & Bali for NY.. so I wasn’t too pleased & the manager waived the fee in the end. I appreciated this.
I recommend this place highly.

Ayana is huge! Highly recommend you book a resort tour upon arrival, so you can plan your stay properly. Download the Ayana app to see all the info.
Highlights for us were: watching the sunset at Rock Bar, lunch and massage at Kubu Beach, Cultural performance and buffet dinner at Kampeong Village. We also visited 3 swimming pools, all in their stylish, unique and amazing architecture. Friendly staff - they will be happy to give you recommendations and showcase their Balinese culture.
Also, the rooms give you 10 types of pillows to choose from (not sure if they cost you extra though).

I believe so, but not quite sure.
To be honest, no matter where you stay on the property you can’t go wrong it is absolutely stunning!
I stayed at AYANA Rimba I found it quieter than the other but we explored the whole property so I didn’t for a second feel like I missed out on anything.
Enjoy I’m jealous, hands down the best resort we’ve stayed at, everything was brilliant & service hands down the best.
