Having just stayed at the Ayana Komodo in Labuan Bajo, we found the Ayana Bali Resort a notch up again ! It was truly spectacular. Our ocean view room was out of this world with an extremely comfortable bed along with all the other great amenities. The grounds were amazing and beautifully kept with excellent running tracks and a very well equipped gym. My partner and I had several spa treatments during our stay and the spa complex was highly impressive. The restaurants were varied and of high quality and no fewer than 14 swimming pools to choose from ! One bit of feedback however was our dining experience at the world famous Rock Bar. The venue is without doubt astonishing but we found the service appalling, the food diabolical and the general attitude of the staff stand offish and arrogant. Strangely this was a completely different experience from the rest of the resort. It seemed that the staff had forgotten who their customers were. There was no direction and the prices bing charged were disgraceful. When visiting the Rock Bar, do not go there for dinner and certainly don't have any imported drinks - including their flat, warm Taittinger at USD 40 a glass. I had mentioned it was my partner's birthday when booking but not only were we given one of the worst tables but no acknowledgement of here birthday at all. Singularly unimpressive. Too many extremely very young, badly trained waiting staff (with attitude) who didn't seem to give a damn.

It’s taken me way too long to write this review, but since we’re heading back in two weeks, I figured now is the perfect time! We stayed at Rimba at Ayana last October with another couple, and it was easily one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. The entire resort complex, including the Ayana and Segara hotels, is absolutely stunning, but we especially loved the seclusion of Rimba’s pools and bars, which is why we’re staying there again.
Getting around the resort is a breeze thanks to the constant shuttle buses, and the variety of restaurants and dining options is just incredible. The famous Rock Bar is breathtaking, but we actually preferred the less crowded and slightly cooler Sunset Bar. Jimbaran is a peaceful escape from busier areas like Kuta and Seminyak, but if you’re craving a bit of action, it’s only a 30-minute drive away (we did venture out once or twice for shopping and cocktails at Ku De Ta!).
A special shout-out goes to the amazing staff at To'ge, the breakfast buffet, particularly Pina and Yoga. My husband has coeliac disease, and they were so accommodating with gluten-free options. The service made us feel truly special, and yes, we even cried on our last day (well, the girls did).
We’re already counting down the days until we’re back at this magical place. The couple we traveled with loved it so much, they went back with their family for a week recently, and they all had an amazing time too. We all can’t wait to return—bring on the daiquiris!

We stayed at the Ayana Resort for 7 nights. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and a cold towel, which after traveling felt really nice. The resort was beautiful and very well maintained, you can see staff all day working hard to make the place look neat and tidy. They have an app that has all the information about the different properties on the resort, shuttle times and concierge desk for reservations and questions. you can access it prior to your arrival. The staff was welcoming always smiling and saying hi and available for any questions. Our room was clean and serviced 2X a day with fresh towels if requested and glass water bottles, night service they would close blinds replenish water if needed and set up the bed. All housekeeping would remove their shoes before entering the rooms. We were able to enjoy the majority of the pools(some are adult only pools), do be aware that some the pools are instagram worthy and will get some people who will do full on photo sessions. Eventually you can kind of just have to make your way through. We were able to get lounge chairs quickly when full. We did the floating breakfast which was nice the pool happened to be empty at the time so we really got to enjoy it, the food was delicious and very well portioned. we tried the breakfast at the different resorts and the best was Rimba, the ambiance and food choices were great. some things are the same at all, but there are minor differences. Our meals at Sami Sami, Kerang (Segara) were our favorite. ROCKBAR was amazing sunset and drinks. Kubo beach is nice watch out for the monkeys and depending on the tide you may not be able to swim. We want to give a special thanks to Risma, who welcomed us and also was there when we checked out, she give us a little going away gift for our anniversary. To Erma for keeping our room clean and Yuni at Sami Sami who was nice to give us a special dessert also for our anniversary. and to the whole staff that helped and serviced us at the pools and restaurants. Yes food is expensive but you are at a resort, if you would like to change things up there's a mall with various food choices about 12 mins drive. Highly recommend a stay there if you're looking for relaxation and away from the hustle and bustle.

I have to begin my review by saying that our experience of the resort was affected negatively by the poor administration of our booking. We changed our original booking from 3 nights in a resort view room at Rimba to a (more expensive) 5 nights in a Wana ocean view room. However, we did not expect the problems that we encountered during our stay and the lack of an acceptable response from Ayana. We had to complain twice about receiving premature check out notices (via email) days before we were due to check out. The staff at Wana were unable to answer or resolve so we had to go up to reception at Rimba who just said ignore it. All well and good expect when we tried to put a bill for food and drink against our room, we were told we couldn’t as we had already been checked out. Another trip to Rimba reception to try and sort. When I emailed the reservations team about all of this, asking how we were going to be compensated for all the inconvenience, they did not reply until after we had checked out and said there was nothing they were prepared to do for us. As to the resort itself, it is essentially a group of disparate hotels and villas, so spread out as to make it very impersonal. Restaurants are, on the whole overpriced and offer very limited gluten free options. I won’t go too much into this as I will write separate reviews for each restaurant we visited with more detail. The saving grace was that there are multiple places to eat for breakfast and there are a lot of good choices. I did, however, have to bring my own bread as the gluten free bread offered is very limited and basic (more like cake than bread). There is a free tram service between the hotels within the resort which is very useful. You can track the trams on the Ayana app so you never have too long to wait. The room we stayed in (a Wana ocean view room) was spacious but lacked storage space. The bed was really comfortable and we both slept really well during our stay. The bathroom was well equipped and the room was very clean. The view was very nice but please don’t expect a great view of the ocean as the resort is a LONG way from the sea (photo attached). The one real plus at Ayana are the staff who, like all Balinese, are friendly, welcoming and full of smiles. I always end my reviews with the question, will I return to this hotel? In this case, the answer is a resounding NO as there are (in my opinion) much better options available.

Ayana Complex is Huge with trams taking you between Ayana, Rimba and Segara Resorts as well as all the Restaurants and Spa areas. In saying that our Check in was quick and efficient, our room was ready at 10.00am when we arrived and as always the friendliest staff with the biggest welcoming smiles at reception and continuing to ALL parts of the resort. We had a Sea View room on the 4th floor and it was Clean and Roomy. Housekeeping seemed to know when we left our room for breakfast because when we returned it was cleaned and ready for us. Be ready for an adventure Kubu Beach is a wonderful swimming beach with spectacular views from the cliff lift and has cute beach bar with snacks. The Rock Bar really Rocks with great music, great cocktails and pretty good food and again the sunset is spectacular and the waves splashing against the rock wall and bar is also great. Great Spar area with a hydrotherapy pool area is also a nice experience. Breakfast had everything you could want and the staff made sure that if there was a special need they would do their best to oblige 10/10 Sami Sami restaurant had the best pizzas and salad 10/10 Honzen Japanese Restaurant also 10/10 Scusa restaurant 10/10 Dava Steak and Seafood 10/10 Rock Bar 10/10 A little on the more expensive side but you only live once!! We have stayed in numerous 5 Star resorts in Nusa Dua , Uluwatu, Seminyak and Legian and we can say without reservation the food standard at Ayana was the best we have had. Too many staff to mention as they were all fantastic Our overall experience was 10/10 Would we recommend this Resort - I think YES

Hosted my wedding here at Ayana Resort in June 2024. The hotel staff were incredibly attentive and very helpful throughout our stay: the villa butler, wedding butler, banquet service team, housekeeping team, and all operation teams did a fantastic job and truly impressed us and our guests. The Ayana App also made things so much easier. A huge thank you to Laura and Cristina from the wedding team! Their meticulous attention to detail ensured all our rooming arrangements were seamless, and their dedication truly made our wedding day extra special. Even after checkout, the housekeeping team's attentiveness continued - they found the item we forgot in the room and packed it nicely for us to receive. Thank you Ayana team!

To be honest, I had high expectations for this hotel. I was disappointed. There is nothing luxurious about this hotel, you a just another number amongst all the people wanting to get the best Instagram photos in their popular river pool.
The staff doing the breakfast service seemed very disorganised. I had to chase someone down to order a coffee, then I had to ask where it was. I sent some clothing to be laundered, then I had to follow up where it was.
However, the grounds are impressive and beautiful to see lit up in the evening. The Rock Bar lives up to expectations for the perfect location for a sunset as the waves wash up against the rocks.
If you are looking for pure luxury with exceptional service, I suggest staying at The Legian in Seminyak, or The Kempinski in Nusa Dua. No Instagram posses there!

This was my 7th visit to Ayana and once again I was not disappointed, from the moment you enter this stunning resort you are looked after by the friendliest staff imaginable, from not just the front office managers but all the way thru to the grounds staff who always find the time to stop what they’re doing and ask how your day is and if you’re having a good time.
The resort itself has over 18 restaurants, 15 pools and its own beautiful little beach of which I had the rare privilege of swimming with a dugong on Saturday morning.
Built across 30 acres there’s always a place to escape and find tranquility
The quality of food is next level, reasonably priced for what it is and you’re never waiting around for food to be brought out
A huge selection of wines to choose from
Their in house app is a treat, I was able to order a chocolate brownie to be brought to the side of the pool for a friends daughter that wasn’t even on the menu. This is the service you get.
Thank you everyone at Ayana and Rock Bar

We struck gold with this hotel, as our flights were cancelled due to bad weather and so we got a last minute booking for our last week on honeymoon. The staff truly have made our stay more memorable! We had originally booked an Ocean View room, and we were disappointed when we came to our room to discover only a very small glimpse of the ocean around the corner on our balcony. However the team quickly rectified this for us and also left a special honeymoon welcome in our room for us. There are 35 restaurants on site and although we didn't get to try them all the ones we went to; Rock bar, Sami Sami, H20 Pool and Padi all served beautiful food and drinks with beautiful views to match. The gym was also a big hit, with 24 hours opening too which helped us gain an appetite for eating :) We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Ayana Resort on the west wing, ocean view room in front of the mini golf course and villas. It was first time here so we were just blown away with the scale of the resort and facilities. The spa is world class, restaurants brilliant and pools amazing. The staff were very hospitable and helpful. One thing to mention that I was most impressed with is - All the toilets in the resort are equipped with japanese-style washlets and are air-conditioned!
