for lunch or dinner, any day during a visit to Coonoor. Seven of us went for lunch and the dishes we requested - steak, grilled fish, and mushroom corn florentine - were delightful to say the least. Add to this is the ambience, a truly 180-degree view of one part of the picturesque town. They have large, elegantly furnished rooms... More

Very hospitable staff, calm and serene place just to relax and do nothing. Must mention all the staff were very courteous. Met the owners also Mr Junaid and Mr Armaan, very warm and loving people. Nicely located , serves excellent continental food and we lived in Balfour. Would definitely go again to spend my holiday there.

we drove from Masinagudi to Coonoor and were booked in this property. This is a old british property now maintained by Serendipity. the view and the flora and fauna around the hotel was very refreshing. we were in the blackwood room was is a huge room with a private sit-out, frankly too big for a family of 3 people. The... More

The positives first : 1) Awesome property, green lawns, pretty flowers, huge rooms, well equipped bathrooms. Kids will LOVE the open space. 2) feels vintage and antique...in a charming way. 3) decent drivers accommodation 4) awesome dinner... Try their continental. The food in their restaurant is awesome. That brings me to the not so good part : 1) The breakfast...... More

it is a beautiful old British bungalow, beautifully located, just off the main road tucked away, but still close enough to town...that was the start & the end of the good part. my harrowing experience started with trying to book the property, better sense shd have prevailed at that time & shd have looked for an option, but i decided... Dear Mr. Arora, I am very sorry you have had had such a bad experience during your stay at McIver. I have checked all the mail correspondence between Preena and you and have found that 1 day her response was late. Went to Conoor on day trip from Ooty with family. Decided to have lunch at their restaurant. I would have given 5 stars but the welcome of guests and eagerness to service us wasnt there. No doubt once seated we were extremely happy with the quality of food served but initial welcome could have been better. However its a must... More

I have on occasion stayed at 5 star hotels - paid for by the organizers of conferences to which I was invited to participate. I dislike them wholeheartedly because they are so predictable and so like each other and the long carpeted corridors remind me of a mixture of morgues and rabbit hutches. The people at the desk are certainly... More

This 130 years old resort is renovated and has only 6 rooms still it is in mint condition. We visited for a leisure trip and very much satisfied with the resort. Management and staff crisis are areas to be taken care of. The least known fact is their restaurant which prepares pretty good Indan Italian dishes. If one wants to... More

We had booked another bunglow but last minute we changed our plan to land up at this beautiful property in Conoor. The rooms in this bungalow are huge. The bungalow gives a feeling of British cottage. They have a sprawling lawn overlooking the beautiful town of Conoor. The food is decent. You can enjoy the breakfast/lunch by the lawns.
