Sharma, the new manager, and Prabu, the owner could not have been more accommodating and nice. They went to lengths to escort us around the property, give us directions, and provide meals for us. They provided fruit, toast and eggs to order for breakfast or dosas, if you prefer. They packed lunches for our day trip and provided nice evening...

The Banyan Farmstay is not for you if you if you want constant hot water or constant cold beer. For us, however, it was perfect. This secluded corner of Tamil Nadu.is peaceful, fruitful, and beautiful. The home cooked meals - including banana leaf lunches - are excellent, and the welcome from the Pradhu family members warm and personal. You will...

On arrival I sat down to an exquisite meal served on an expansive banana leaf and never looked back during my brief stay. I was taken on informative walks round the plantations and was lucky enough to spot an Asian Paradise Flycatcher. Prabhu, returning from a wedding, wanted to meet me and was most considerate about every aspect of my...

Warm welcome from the new manager who showed us around the estate, our room was ok, bed was very hard, the bathroom was very basic, there were no bath cosmetics and the towels had seen better days. Our room had a balcony with table and chairs with tea/coffee and bottled water. We were the only guests, dinner was in the...

We arrived at The Banyan Tree when we found our tented accommodation at Parambikulum just too basic to stay another night. The home stay is a cut above with clean and comfortable rooms - not luxurious but just what you need. In addition there is a lovely pool which we enjoyed and the surrounding farm and planting is a delight....

We'd been in Chennai for the 5th Test Match and wanted to visit the Parambikulam Tiger Reserve and were booked into The Banyan Tree by our travel agent. We arrived on Xmas Eve and left on Boxing Day (2 nights). The room was well appointed and clean; with a view of a hazy mountain. We can not speak more highly...

We spent three nights at Banyan Tree homestay and were sad to leave. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with decks to relax on and to admire the surrounding trees and views of the edge of the Western Ghats. We enjoyed our tour of the farm with our host and expanded our knowledge of crops and trees. Mrs. Prabhu is...

Firstly this farm stay is not in Coimbatore as mentioned in the contact page of their website and also in TripAdvisor. It’s near a village called Sethumadai which is about 72 kms from Coimbatore via Pollachi. This cocoa and coconut plantation is close to the Anamalai mountain range. The place is serene and consists of two different blocks. The first...

We went as a group of four families to this homestay. The property is beautiful, wonderful location, well laid out, with a lot of greenery around. We found our way from Coimbatore station to the homestay quite easily. Coimbatore-Pollachi was by bus (empty, quite comfortable, Rs 23), if you don't have too much luggage this is recommended. Then took a...

Do not stay there! This is a farm stay or a home stay in a farm though it ok but the owner Mr. Prabhu is a very very greedy man. You can get a much better homestay with much better amenities at a much lesser price . Hence, I would not recommend this place at all to Indians, Foreigners who come...
