We spent three nights at Banyan Tree homestay and were sad to leave. The rooms are spacious and comfortable with decks to relax on and to admire the surrounding trees and views of the edge of the Western Ghats. We enjoyed our tour of the farm with our host and expanded our knowledge of crops and trees. Mrs. Prabhu is... More

Firstly this farm stay is not in Coimbatore as mentioned in the contact page of their website and also in TripAdvisor. It’s near a village called Sethumadai which is about 72 kms from Coimbatore via Pollachi. This cocoa and coconut plantation is close to the Anamalai mountain range. The place is serene and consists of two different blocks. The first... More

We went as a group of four families to this homestay. The property is beautiful, wonderful location, well laid out, with a lot of greenery around. We found our way from Coimbatore station to the homestay quite easily. Coimbatore-Pollachi was by bus (empty, quite comfortable, Rs 23), if you don't have too much luggage this is recommended. Then took a... More

Do not stay there! This is a farm stay or a home stay in a farm though it ok but the owner Mr. Prabhu is a very very greedy man. You can get a much better homestay with much better amenities at a much lesser price . Hence, I would not recommend this place at all to Indians, Foreigners who come... More

It took two hours to find and we had been given the wrong phone number so on a one night stay we didn't have a lot of time there. The bird life and the trees plants flowers are beautiful. There is a game reserve just 20 km down the road but we didn't have the time to visit. The food... More

Spent two nights here as part or our motorbike trip around southern India. We thoroughly enjoyed ours walk around the plantation with Mr PrAbhu the owner. It was interesting hearing the history of the estate which has been in the family for seven generations. There are a wide range of plants and we enjoyed tasting some of the fruits as... More

this homestay has been in the same family for many generations. the rooms are large and comfortable and each has its own deck. The family are very friendly and we had lovely interesting conversations. They are very proud of the quality and variety of food which is beautifully presented. We stayed here for one night but got to enjoy lunch, dinner and breakfast. Lunch was a treat, served in the dining room of Mr Prabhu's wonderful old villa-farmhouse. It consisted of various curries, pickles, breads and rices presented on a large banana leaf. Delicious cooking. Dinner was served outside and again was various south Indian curries, and lots of... the place has a rugged but homely look to it. the people are really helpful. the guide is pleasing if you plan to go looking for birds or take a walk. the guides knowledge about birds is not very up to date but the plantation visit is worth a night stay.
