We stayed here for a couple of nights. The welcome we received wasn’t that great. The room was small. The bedding was awful. The bathroom was very dated and the shower water was hitting the bathroom door. The water was hot. They kept turning the a/c off and only turned on once you requested twice. They also turned our electric off on the morning we were leaving. The food was expensive and not very tasty. WiFi was good although you have to give details to receive a code to access. We wouldn’t recommend. It is overpriced and there are much better hotels available for the price

I am just back from udaipur and it was a excellent trip.
After this long lockdown it was my first trip with family to relax.
I stayed in Padmini Palace for three nights four days. It was an amazing stay.
The hotel was cleanically clean and the management was following all safety measures for the safety of guests and kept it a 200% safe hotel for stay in Udaipur.
I went to this property as a relative gave a very positive feedback- they stayed here in Dec. last year.
The property is centrally located so you are in close proximity to all sight seeing points. The rooms are clean and have everything what a Good hotel room should have. The staff was extremely warm and ensured our comfortable stay. They have a roof top restaurant which is operational from morning to night. The food is delicious and their tea is worth dying for.. I personally loved it.
The hotel stands tall and comfortable ready to host tourists & corporates from around the world.
I myself keep traveling a lot and after this lockdown it was my first trip to relax my mind and body, so with my long experience I give this property a five star thumbs up.
Happy Safe Traveling Everyone.

This is by far most pathetic hotel (Lodge would be right word) I ever visited with family. I booked it after checking reviews at TripAdvisor. I always do this before booking any hotel and never before I had any problems. However it was totally opposite. I am sure these guys are using dummy accounts to manipulate their ratings to con innocent travelers. TripAdvisor must check this. You can understand my frustration that I am immediately writing this review after leaving the hotel. Do not judge by landscape pictures provided at TripAdvisor, use your instinct. Now discuss the reasons for such bad review. The lodge (won’t use hotel) is highly overpriced and does not provide any facility as per the charges. We booked 2 Standard Rooms by cleartrip at exorbitant prices without breakfast for 2 families. At the time of check-in, the receptionist told that we did not mention about children. We told him that our kids are around 5 years hence no extra facility is required and there is no breakfast in our package. He unnecessarily argued that if we had selected kids, our prices would be higher than what we paid! Till date we have never got this kind of response in our travel in India or Abroad. The attitude of the receptionist was such pathetic that if we hadn’t paid prior, we would have left immediately. The lodge does not have a separate parking and you have to look by yourself if area outside hotel is full. Anyhow we went to the room but room was shockingly small, barely accommodating a Queen Size Bed (6X5). So we changed the room to a Deluxe one by paying 1000 extra. We could not get much relief apart from slightly bigger room (10’X11’ roughly) with a King Size Bed (6X6) with 2 6X3 mattress. Room was clean to our relief with a chair-table occupying remaining space. Floor was stained. The blanket provided was very old without cover. Bathroom was very old fashioned with rusted taps and shower. The towels which they provided were stained due to long time use. For everything they were ready to charge us. I am attaching photos of “Terms and Conditions” present in the room. You would know the truth! Luggage is your responsibility, you can’t use your hair dryer in room and so on. My wife asked for an electric press for which they told that we have to get it done through them only by paying whatever they ask for. I asked for a comb as I never carry one in my travels. I was send a dirty, used comb. Can you imagine this? When I asked the same receptionist he told that it was not mentioned in the list of provided items. Which hotel in the world mentions that it provides a comb! Staffs were respectful but manner less. Whenever they came to room, they simply entered by knocking once and without asking for permission. Food at restaurant was ok but only veg. Location is ok but if you are in Udaipur, please book a hotel at any of the lakes. To sum up, do not opt for this hotel with family. The class of this lodge is very bad and you should avoid if your standards are ok. They are tarnishing name of Rani Padmini. (I know the hotel staff will certainly reply to my comments in very negative way, but you trust my opinion and my plight).

Dear Guest, We thank you for writing a well crafted Adversarial review for the visit. It was a delight to have you at our hotel. Our endeavor has always been to look after all our Guests with full commitment. It's disheartening to know that we could not make your stay a memorable one. We found varied point of view in this review of yours to be quite intriguing. We are rated highly on Tripadvisor for our commitment to service. You have booked online our basic standard room with mentioning only 2 adults in each room and you didn't mentioned about the Children's with you while booking the rooms who were about 10 yrs old just to save money which was against the policies of cleartrip and hotel you cheated both of us and you are raising claim on us,when came to hotel we said you the same thing that you have made the booking for only 2 adults in each room and we don't allow children's above 5 yrs in standard room since they are small in size and this is mentioned clearly on all travel sights despite of this you have booked rooms on double occupancy and having children's of approx. 10 yrs with you still to accommodate you we upgraded 1 room to deluxe without any charge and for the second room we asked you for Rs.1000 extra per day which was very reasonable we didn't forced, you accepted that time thanking us and now you have written a complete opposite review. Laundry service we have and we don't provide electric press and we will charge you for pressing service and you want a free service for that also, we have not mentioned any were that we provide electric press, expecting things not mentioned in the hotel facilities and then getting upset with it no one can help that. Your main concern here seems to be the "PRICE" that we always quote before rendering any services and since you want free services for every thing and you don't want to pay for your children's, you don't want to pay for the upgraded room and in the end you want to raise finger on the hotel for charging you for the basic things one cant help that too. PADMINI PALACE is a 20-Room family run small hotel that prides itself in offering quality basic accommodation. We do not pretend or portray to offer luxury rooms. Our air-conditioned rooms are equipped with basic amenities. However the Guests sometimes hold the impression that PADMINI PALACE is a luxury hotel as a result of our high ranking on Tripadvisor. The details of our rooms are indicated on our website & on other travel portals also which clearly says that standard rooms are smaller in size and considering the location, service, food quality and other attributes at such a economical price one can’t accept more. HPP runs with a 100% transparent approach. We endeavor to create an honest impression of our hotel and do not subscribe to the idea of boastful advertisements/claims.All pics on the web site are latest and we keep on updating them as when any changes takes place,so we will not accept the comment that the pics on web site doesn't resembles with the actual hotel situation, We serve with dignity and strive to provide value for all our guests. We are concerned and assure you of our very best at all times. We would still love to send you with happy memories if given another chance despite of such an false review. You are always welcome back. Warm Regards from all of us at hotel Padmini palace Our sincere apology for not standing up to your expectations. Warm Regards from all of us at hotel Padmini palace

Hotel situated in centre of udaipur, near gulab bagh, city palace etc. Hotel staff is very good, very helping, nd food was awesome. No need to go outside for food at least. I appreciate Mr Rajendra, the way he treating their customers. I will definitely go to padmini palace on my next visit.

Went here for dinner on a string rainy day. We were welcomed and served very quickly. I did have fairly odd requests which was catered to with a smile.
The only complaint was the lack of a lift considering the rooftop restaurant was on the 5th floor.

They Charge excessive for any sort of service. Rooms are very small, even to move in the room you have to find your path.to avoid collision with furniture in the room. Bathroom at room no. 23 at 4th floor was smelling with blocked toilet line.. Had to compel the authority to shift me at the first floor next day morning to avoid the toilet gas pipe fumes.. Asked for guidance to avail conducted tour from tour operator for which the proprietor Shri Gaurav extended immediate help and while I boarded the tourist bus I found that he has cheated me by taking 50% more fair than the other co-passengers paid for the same trip. Food at the restaurant is of poor quality but charges are three times more than the other restaurants. Even they do no allow the patron to vacate the room even 10 minutes late than the check out time of 9 AM. Most people are new comers with out any knowledge that they are likely to be cheated at their hand. Please do not land there.

Dear Guests, This review is a bit harsh on us as we did all we could to please you and make your stay a comfortable one. Having read your remarks we would like to mention that all the other reviews are written by our esteemed guests like your kind self who are not necessarily backpackers but looking for clean, basic accommodation that’s value for money. This is what we endeavor to provide. The details of our rooms are indicated on our website & on other travel portals also which clearly says that standard rooms are smaller in size and considering the location, service, and other attributes at such a economical price one can’t accept more. We would love to be of service to you again next time in a deluxe or a super deluxe room which offers more space in the room as compared to the standard room with certain extra amenities too. Regarding the bus tour i would like to mention that the guest took a tour to Ekling ji,Nathdwara and Haldighati for which the ticket offered was for Rs.300 and as per guest that he found some guest traveling at 250 or other rates is just because of the lack of professionalism in the bus operators who vary rates and doesn't maintain rate parity, we offered the rate which we got from the bus operators and handed over the ticket in the room of the guest, for the ticket the guest didn't even have to move out of the hotel and hire a rickshaw and pay him Rs.100 to take him around and book a bus tour for himself,so as we saved Rs.100 of the guest by providing him this service that coasted us this review.50% more price mentioned was actually Rs.50 which i would like to mention sir we are not interested to earn running such an esteemed organization. Regarding food pricing. We would like to state that we happen to be one of the most moderately priced restaurants in this category. Our food prices have been carefully thought-of and have remained unchanged in the last One Year. We are found reasonably priced and excellent quality by most of our Guests which you can found in other reviews. All our food preparations are fresh and the menu offers adequate choices. The check in time of the hotel is 9.00 am but the guest checked in before time on the day of check in and immediately the room was provided which is not mentioned in the review and on the day of check out guest wanted to check out in the afternoon, since we have a check in time of 9.00 am and max. arrivals in udaipur are before 9.00 am so the guest has to check out as per the checkout time given since the same room was suppose to be given to the other guest waiting to check in. In this case the guest wanted to stay till afternoon without any cost and when refused to extend the checkout spoiled the guest mood which took over the entire stay and ended up in this review. We endeavor to create an honest impression of our hotel and do not subscribe to the idea of boastful advertisements/claims. We would love to welcome you again and assure you of our best attention at all times. Warm regards from all of us at hotel Padmini palace

We have searched many hotels in near vicinity, but after booking this hotel we have observed that this hotel is very good. Owners and staff are very friendly. Hotel is getting renovated, so all rooms are neat and clean with new and fresh look. Hotel is having its restaurant which serves good rajasthani food. Hotel location is very near to all attractions and one can reach highway within 20 minutes from hotel. So its location is its plus point.
