Visiting from California we have stayed at multiple Leela palace hotels and wanted to try Oberoi collection this visit. The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur is an outstanding world class property -we stayed there for 4 days and got to alert it is a pricey hotel but well worth it since it is not just a luxury hotel but an experience which is just top class. Beautiful landscape ,view of the lake every inch of the hotel is done with great care The friendly staff , amazing breakfast spread and dinner by the lake makes the experience wonderful ,they pay great attention to detail and act on customer requests promptly. The setup at the outdoor breakfast is breathtaking Our stay timing conflicted with a Summit there which we and the hotel did not know about until we arrived.very disappointed not able to take boat rides in the lake - that is one of the reasons we booked this hotel to enjoy guest only access boats!! it was closed during our entire stay due to the G20 summit ! Personal handwritten notes to cute souvenir gifts were a special touch. GM Mr. Ankush Mahajan arranged for a special Anniversary dinner for us by the pool which was a sweet experience. Overall very very impressed with the property and the staff Totally relaxed and most enjoyable stay and would love to enjoy and visit Oberoi Udaivillas soon again. …
If there is a better word than excellent , it should go for this property! the property is beautiful, landscaped perfectly well and The stay was more of an 'experience' than a stay! Almost every staff member seemed to know me by name! The staff that you would meet in the corridors and elsewhere ensured that they asked about your well being and stay. it was almost as if the entire place was 'hosting' you! Personally handwritten notes from the oberoi one , members of staff at different moments of the stay lent a special touch. I was almost spoilt for all the facilities provided. Avani showed me around the place and helped me being a solo traveller.IAvani and Prachi offered pleasant surprises. It was almost as if every staff member was competing with each other to please you (if it is a hotel policy, it is something to be looked for by other similar luxury hotels !) Special mention for Kirtee who arranged a spa appointment, jasmine and chamomile tea and surprise destress bathtub as she came to know it was the last bit of my Udaipur visit. Sikme at Spa services had me with a 'relaxation hangover' even when I returned to Delhi. Tsering for check in and checkout was a thorough professional who ensured that I get all that i was looking for..a smooth process that i didn't realize was happening! Hemant along with the chef ensured that my preferences were taken care of at dinner and provided a worki parantha (something I was told at other place, couldn't be done as per my preference) The dinner table was laid out beautifully ! However, food was an area that could look for improvement, especially with choices in breakfast buffet.( had a difficult time finding something to my taste) However, the service more than made it up! Just a little mention about the few minutes that I had to stand on road with my luggage outside the property (as i arrived in an 'auto rickshaw' from the old city) till the confirmation of my stay could be ascertained! I mention all that in the backdrop of another luxury heritage property that i visited in the same trip at Udaipur. I must congratulate and thank the Manager, Mr Manav, for finding the time to personally ask after my stay (something that every member of his staff replicated) ,extending my stay for a few hours as per my flight timings and having everything in place! Highly recommend the property.Have another booking at the same place in October! looking forward to it. Garima Bhatnagar…
Excellent property and food. Their Indian cuisine deserves a special mention. Service and hospitality is Oberoi and needs not need any further description. Never even felt the need to step out of the property for any reason.
The Oberoi Vilas chain of hotels are a class apart in service and care and are hard to compare.Their team customer centricity attitude is a pleasure to experience.Thank you Mr.Sumanth for all the lively short talk and care taken as a family. Thank you GM Ankush Mahajan for all the care and making us relive our Jaipur stay with him.Thank you for a totally relaxed and most enjoyable stay and would love to enjoy Oberoi hospitality soon again.God bless you all.
Amazing location and even more amazing was their service and attention to details. Staff was very extremely friendly and it seemed that their dictionary did not have the word “No”. Very accommodating. Place was really clean and well maintained. We did go for the Spa and the staff there was fantastic too!
Oberoi Udaivilas is not just a luxury hotel but an experience which out of the world. Right from the airport pick-up to your checkin and during your entire stay, they keep on amazing you with their hospitality, professionalism and service. The property in itself is a must visit but the people who run the services come across as a bunch who simply loves to host you. For someone who travels a lot and has stayed in almost all reputed hotels in India and abroad, Udaivilas sets the benchmark very high.
My wife and I are keen travellers and have been very fortunate to have visited many wonderful countries and hotels across the globe. It has to be said though, that the Oberoi Udaivilas has raised the bar. The grounds are incredible, the styling of the hotel refined and luxurious, whilst the team that provide truly personalised service are just amazing. I rarely leave reviews for hotels, but felt compelled to do so this time. The hotel is just sumptuous and the team that make it that way are and asset to Oberoi. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so wonderful.
Oberoi review A truly outstanding experience. My mother, 21 year daughter plus friend stayed at Udaivillas for 4 nights and everything about the stay was exceptional. I have to start off with the service. I am a frequent and experienced traveler and never have I received the type of personal attention and service. It was my daughter’s 21st birthday and her room was decorated with balloons and flower petals and she was presented with a lovely cake upon arrival (also given sparkling wine toast at her birthday dinner in the hotel). They then helped us plan every excursion (we visited ranakpur, did a city tour and a boat tour). Each trip was planned perfectly and the staff always asked us whether they could pack us food or anything else to make out trips more comfortable. The service at the restaurants (we ate at the hotel every night because of the exceptional food - more on that below - the ambience and the service) was exemplary. I was yearning for a spicy vegetarian curry which they made for me (off the menu ). Ok, since we are talking about the food…. My highest compliments to the Head Chef (I’m sorry I have forgotten his name even though he gave me his card) all all the chefs! One our first night, we ordered a “raan” appetizer from the menu and loved it so much that we asked if they could make us a rann biryani the next night which the chef amazingly did for us and it was incredible !! They continued to meet any off menu request (which we had a lot (-: ). The quality of the food - international, Indian, - amazing!! Hats off particularly to Philips and Anmol. - we would like to take them home with us (-: Our rooms were similarly wonderful. We had three rooms facing the courtyard pool. When we arrived I regretted not taking the lake facing/plunge pool rooms but once I saw our set-up, I was delighted. The courtyard is beautiful - and the pool one of the best I have ever swam in (and of course in the most incredible scenic setting- there are two amazing pools - the infinity pool by the spa is a must use). The rooms were spacious and beautifully appointed. We were presented with small gifts every night. I has a really nice massage and facial - the therapy rooms are beautiful. The grounds are truly spectacular - this is a place to sit, meditate, read books and find peace. It is not cheap - but honestly worth every penny.…
My husband and I just checked out after an incredible 2 night stay at the stunning Oberoi Udaivilas. I don’t do enough of these reviews but our experience was so beautiful and so beyond expectations that I have to write a proper review. Before travelling to India, my husband and I kept hearing about the elusive ‘seven star’ level of service that we might experience and we can honestly attest to the unparalleled attention to detail, kindness and utter professionalism of each and every member of the Oberoi team that we came in contact with during our stay. Before I discuss the service, it’s important to note that Udaipur is just stunning and simply a must do and see if you are travelling in Northern India and particularly through Rajasthan. Udaipur was the last stop on our travels through Rajasthan before heading for work in Delhi and this city of lakes is simply gorgeous. The City Palace is the most impressive of any of the city palaces we saw in Rajasthan and the city is incredibly calm, peaceful and beautiful. Back to the Oberoi Udaivilas: if you are travelling to Udaipur look no further than this resort. The grounds are gorgeous and every aspect of the property has been planned with such precision and care. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by name and each member of staff went to great lengths to make us feel welcome. We have stayed in some of the most incredible hotels but we have never experienced this kind of anticipatory service - it’s as though they knew what we might enjoy before we could imagine it. On arrival we were offered traditional gifts and refreshments, our rooms was upgraded and our personal butler arranged an unbelievable private dining experience in our suite (complete with candles everywhere, two dozen roses, the most extensive and delicious traditional Rajasthani feast you have ever seen) all of this was arranged and planned for us. Each evening we enjoyed the musical and dancing talents of the performers that the Resort organises and on more than one occasion the staff offered us complimentary desserts. I have to specially note the Chef, Narendra Singh, he is an absolute magician of Indian cuisine - we must have sampled almost everything on the menu (no small feat!) and I can honestly say it’s the best Indian food we have had in the world. Every member of the staff at the Oberoi Udaivilas is exceptional but the butler service is completely above and beyond. My husband and I have managed to forget the name of our delightful butler but I have added a picture of my husband with him as we didn’t want to forget how well we were treated throughout our stay. We couldn’t recommend the Oberoi Udaivilas more highly. Every member of the team made our stay a complete delight. As our first experience in an Oberoi property, we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful stay and we will surely be back! Thank you !!!…
The most incredible stay. The hotel is not just a hotel, it is a palace. The royal welcome at the check in, the food at the restaurant (both Indian and international) and the service at the reception, spa pool, spa, restaurants and all around the hotel were simply exceptional. They really make you feel the most important guest in the hotel. This is the best hotel we stayed at and with the best service we’ve ever had. Thank you
