Had an awesome experience staying in the Taj Lake Palace. The hospitality of the staff is increadible. The ambience and views of the hotel are impeachable. It was worth every penny. Lovely 🏵️ experience.!!
Carrying a memory of a lifetime. Enchanting stay. Very friendly stuff who went out of the way to make our stay memorable. A 275 year old heritage marvel of an architecture that makes you feel at home.
Excellent Great ambiance Good and helpful staff Hospitality Boat ride and cultural program in the evening was a pleasure experience. Best room service We are senior citizen and they have taken good care like: offering room near the lobby.
This trip will be remembered for a long long time. The hospitality, its ambiance and everything was perfect. All the staff members whether be at the reception or the restaurants or the housekeeping were always attentive to our needs and courteous. However, I would like to appreciate - Rahul Mehta Manager, Gaurav, Navneet, Anjali at the front desk, Mahendra at Jharokha, and their staff including those at Neel Kamal, Chefs at both the restaurants were among the few whom we interacted with. Should be in the wish list of places to visit once at least.
We stayed at the Taj Lake Palace for a couple of days in May 2022. The boat ride from the jetty to the hotel was fairly comfortable and prepped up for the stunning views that the hotel had to offer. As we entered the hotel there was a rose-petal shower followed by a citrusy welcome drink that was quite good. The lobby was bright and breezy - though given the scorching summer of 2022 I would have preferred air-conditioning. This is a very personal observation - I found the air surround perfume used in the lobby a little too overpowering. It could have been a bit more subtle. We were given a warm welcome by Chandrika who gave us a tour of the property and explained its various features patiently. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade us from Lake View Rooms to Palace View Rooms and I must say that the view from the Palace Rooms was much better. Even though the hotel seemed a little run down (paint chipping off, bird droppings, bad odour around a couple of places) the rooms were very well maintained. Yes you may find them - especially the bathroom - cramped but then you have to understand that these are actual palace rooms and there’s very little that can be done about the size. All in all I absolutely loved my room and more so the stunning views that it had to offer! The breakfast at Jharokha was good (nothing extraordinary). The Chinese lunch was very good and we were assisted very ably by Bheem who was very efficient, warm and generous in his service! I would also like to thank Mahendra for getting Sheer Korma specially prepared for us on the occasion of Eid. However the food at Neel Kamal was quite average. It was too bland for our liking. The Jalebi was quite disappointing - it tasted like a hard crisp biscuit! The service though was quite efficient. As far as the activities are concerned - we took the sunset cruise. It was a great experience! The views were mesmerising. Luckily there were just 4 people besides us on the boat so it wasn’t crowded at all. I hope they offer some beverages though in future as it can get quite hot during summers. All in all - I would rate my experience at The Taj as very good. If you can ignore a few of its minuses and let the views mesmerise you - you’ll have a great time here!…
