We stayed here during the end of May and it was H O T!
It was off-season so we managed to get a reasonable discount to 1200 on a double room with AC, which worked perfectly..thank god.

The manager-owner Babu Khan arranged a pick up from the train station. This was nice.
I used Tripadvisor to select the room because the reviews were both personal and complimentary.

Almost lakeside. The walk to "town" is one of the most enjoyable walks in our short India stay. The Mosque next door does assist with early rising. The "rooftop dining" in the middle of winter (January 2011) is "refreshing" but the filtered views are easy...More

Hi! I stayed at Hibiscus last month for a night. They don't really email you to confirm and i faced the same situation. But when I landed there, they had my room ready. The folks at the guest house are very friendly and will help you however they can. Although, I agree, the nearby mosque and the sound coming out of it can be very annoying. The places of interest in Udaipur are usually walking distance but for a few. Never really tried the restaurant there. The rooms are pretty well done though and clean. I paid about INR5000 for the place inclusive of taxes and I think for that kind of money I could get a better 4-star hotel without the noise nuisance and slightly better location. Hope this helps! Cheers.
