Immaculate! With plenty of blankets and pillows. Comfortable! and Lots and Lots of Outlets! Was able to both work and watch the wildlife (deer from the porch and windows) in a wonderful cabin. (The internet was great for what I needed, but I am not a gamer so I cannot speak to that.) The owners were so helpful and personable. There is a large pavilion on site for meetings or events. Wonderful, beautiful and secluded, yet just minutes from the amenities of Angel Fire. We are already planning our next trip to Angel Fire and the Retreat!!
The Cabins are a great place to relax. The Cabins are clean and well maintained. The managers are very nice and helpful for providing information about things to do in Angel Fire and surrounding towns. There is hiking into a national forest just outside the back of the property.
Everything from reservations made months before to check-in to customer service during the stay was excellent. Very well managed by Kimberly and Rick Talbert. The owners should be very happy these folks are tending to their business so efficiently. The Retreat is situated a little out of town in a nice wooded setting with wildlife. Stayed two nights in a 1 bedroom cabin (Deer B). It was very clean and well-equipped. Others in the group had several one-bedroom cabins and one had a two-bedroom cabin. They were all just as nice. What a pleasant stay!
What a lovely retreat in the woods! We saw deer daily and on our last night, deer walked right by our cabin. It was so peaceful to sit on the porch to listen and watch all the birds enjoying the trees. We had a great view of the mountains. All in all a very quiet, relaxing retreat.
My wife and I just spent 3 nights in the "Mountain Lion 1" 1 BR cabin at the Retreat at Angel Fire. We loved it and are currently trying to talk some other family members into coming back for a trip in August. The cabins are very convenient to all the activities in and around Angel Fire, but you really have the seclusion and feel of being in a remote cabin in the mountains. One evening, we were watching a baseball game on TV at dusk, and right behind the TV through the partially open window, we watched 4 elk slowly walk by about 20' away outside the window. There were tons of birds in the pines around the cabin if you are a birder. The cabin itself was very conveniently setup. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great water pressure and plentiful hot water, there were two futon beds in the living room, and the full kitchen allowed us to save some money by cooking breakfasts and one of our dinners there. For the price, this was way better than being stuck in a regular hotel or in a condo with noisy neighbors! We will definitely be back!…
