This is an amazing homely hotel, which is run by two of the nicest and genuine people we met on our travels. Joshi the hotel owner could not have been more freindly and helpful, going out of his way to make sure everything was just right. We were there for 3 days up until NYE 2010/11 preparing for The Rickshaw...

I stayed at Rose Villa for two nights and even though my visit was very brief, the hospitality by Joshi and his staff was wonderful. I felt very at home there, slept well and had the most amazing breakfast too. Joshi was very helpful with directions & what to see and do in Jaisalmer and with access to free Wi-Fi,...

We arrived here from Jaipur, which was quite a hectic visit - alot to see & do in quite a short time - however from arrival at Rose Villa, it was a very enjoyable, relaxing time. The small, new hotel is clean, welcoming and charmingly decorated. Our room on the ground floor was bright and comfortable with a double window...

We chose this hotel as it was comparitively better priced. We arrived early in the morning around 6:00 AM and were pleased that they gave us our rooms instantly even though the check in time was around 10:00 AM only to find that they were charging extra Rs 500 for the early check in. This literally shocked us as we...

To start with, a decent hotel in the city. Clean, Decorated, Friendly atmosphere. A good deal for the money spent on hotel. Just a word of caution for booking any city tour or bus tickets with them, you may end up spending upto 50% more....instead just move out and talk to few other agents and do good bargaining.... Do not...

We are a group of 4 Australians (young professional, early to mid 30s) who stayed at Hotel Rose Villa in the lead-up to The Rickshaw Run. Joshi and his wife Ujula provided us with the legendary Indian hospitality while we stayed with them for 4 days and took us under their wing while we were guests in their house. We...

In a nutshell: Honesty, Friendliness, Cleanliness, and Wi-Fi. Honest and friendly staff in a nicely decorated hotel. Spending 3 months in India I realized there's plenty of schemers in the hotel business, but at Rose Villa I had my best experience of Rajasthan. They don't push you for camel safari, unlike others. And it was all very clean when I...

This is a backpackers’ hostel posing as a mid range hotel, despite the jazzy colour scheme. The rooms are small (double beds have one side shoved up against the wall to fit them in). We were provided with a bottom sheet and one blanket (no top sheet) and 2 bath towels. The single hand towel in the bathroom was well...

“The hotel is small and friendly. Absorb the night time views out to the fort from one of the rooms upstairs, rather than a ground floor room.”

“Always opt for a a/c room especially in October months. It is too hot. Check your TV. Also, wifi is available only in ground floor. Non a/c room is a bit expensive and not value for money.”
