We travelled to Jaisalmer in March 2016 and stayed at Damodra desert camp for 1 night. We were picked from our hotel in Jaisalmer and after a stop at Kuldhara we reached the desert camp. The staff at Damodra were excellent. The tent and bathroom were clean. Much more than what you would expect in a camp. The desert safari... More

We stayed in the Damodara desert camps in March 2016 for one night with three other friends and their families. We had gone to Jaisalmer for three nights with friends and family and stayed the first two nights at Suryagarh and the third night at Damodara. We were picked up by the Damodara folks from Suryagarh after noon on the... More

This was the 3rd time I have stayed at this Desert Camp. The thing that impresses me is, that each time I go there, there are major improvements! I like the fact that the owner invests back into the business. There are now 2 new rooftop areas to relax, refresh and enjoy the Sunrise, Sunset or the amazing star filled... More

After spending three long week traveling through the chaos of India (which I embrace, by the way), we were swept off for an evening under the stars. Upon arrival you were greeted by a wonderful staff eager to help you to your "tent". Now, this tent was not what you think of when camping in the wilderness, no, it was... More

I and my husband went there with my family to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It was truly an amazing experience. This place is the best that you can experience in Jaisalmer. The staff is absolutely amazing. I do not have the words to describe how friendly and helpful the owner Prithvi Ji is. They surprised us by a cake,... More

We had a great experience staying in the Camp. The music and dance show was engaging. The Dinner and breakfast has enough options to choose from. The staff were very friendly and the ride to and back to the camp were okay. Don't expect a camel ride longer than 20 minutes.

The tents were comfortable and the staff was attentive and helpful. The music show at night was nice, but if you stay two nights you will see the exact same thing repeated. The camel safari was so disappointing. So, it was not at all a ride "on the dunes". Basically the men with the camels guided them while chatting with... More

Staying at damodara desert camp was out of world experience. excellent staff and very good infrastructure in the middle of the desert. I went there in MArch 2016 along with my familyThe tent quality and space is good. Food provided by the camp is also good. Spacious and comfortable tents, amazing ambience, lovely folk programme in the late evening, decent food and hospitality par excellence. Its location in the middle of nowhere with nothing all around (the camp has only 10 tents, so question of over-crowding) and the starry sky above and the comforting cool breeze takes you into a different world all-together. The sunset at... More
