This guesthouse is in a great location next to sunset point. It has a lovely charm about the beautiful building with plenty of space to hang out and socialise and staff/owners who can never do enough to help out/offer you food or drinks. Cant recommend enough and its very affordable when travelling on a budget!

What can I say - I really loved Green Arts Guest house. It is incredibly good value and such a nice vibe. Gabriella, Hanif and his brother Eliyas, along with others that contribute to the relaxed and friendly running of it, are all lovely people. It's super chilled, while at the same time nothing is really too much trouble and everything you want seems to be possible. Hanif sorted a camel safari for us - an incredible and humbling experience with two wonderful, genuine men who took us out into the desert overnight and made us laugh round the fire. He also arranged for a local family of musicians to play for us in the guest house one evening which was great. The Green Arts roof-top terrace is good for slow, semi-horizontal breakfast starts in the morning and for hanging out with a beer, or dinner, and a book in the evening. Gabby and Hanif are good company too when they're about. They also hosted me when I returned for second time a couple of weeks later (originally unplanned) on their farm which I also highly recommend (and have reviewed on that page). In short - if you are in Jaisalmer - stay here. It's great.

Room Tip: We had rooms on the first floor which I'd opt for instead of the ground floor for noise reasons.

This place might be gorgeous, since it’s in a very good location, near to the fort and far from the touristic chaos, and in a very quaint building. The problem is that the maintainance and the cleanliness are poor. The bed sheets were full of hair left by the previous guest and the room we were assigned (103) is dark and gloomy (in the midst of the desert sun!), since the window faces a wall and a bunch of rubbish inbetween. What’s more, it’s attached to the kitchen, so early in the morning you will be woken up by all the noises related to the food preparing. Hardly warm, not hot, water isn’t available 24hrs a day, so you have to shower in the foreseen hours. The trip to the desert in their farm that they will try to sell you is very overpriced, since you will find the same accommodation on Booking at one third of the price. The terrace hasn’t got a great view, so the only good thing about the whole situation is the low price.

Hello Dario! You are writing a lot about the building, which we rent. We love our small guesthouse even it is little old and sure not perfect. And what makes us thinking is what we missed that you barely talk about our kind welcome, our offer to make your stay more pleasant, for free. What you looked at booking.com is only the rent for the hut. Nothing included and our offer for you was a whole package with tour. But anyway. Sorry to hear that all. All the best for you and Sara Gabriela and Hanif

Hey, I was roaming the streets to look for a nice restaurant and found Gabi`s and Hanif`s place! It`s true, that it might take a little while till you have the food on the plate, but it`s definitely worth the waiting: Really good value, all is fresh and some of the food you will only get here (gabi`s shake cake, haha)! After a couple of visits in the restaurant I begun staying in the guesthouse itself! What shall I say: The people there became friends and the environment, sort of a home away from home!!! If you want to meet some friendly locals, that`s the right place, if you want to go out in the desert, that`s the right place, if you just want to hang around, no problem! All in all a really nice place to watch time go past, just to realize after a while that you ended up staying much longer than you intended at first!

No customers, no service. Interrupted owners conversation to ask if the place was open, she said yes. Went upstairs with menu. No owner. No service. Waited twenty minutes and interrupted owners conversation to say we were leaving. If you need a chat this is the spot. For food. Go elsewhere.

Dear Customer! We are sorry to hear that you where not satisfied with our service. Please let us know exactly what happened. We had till now never bad recommondations about our service or our restaurant, even sometimes it would take a little time. I remember that there where 2 people coming for the restaurant and when I went there for asking what they want nobody was there anymore. I was in this moment alone and busy with some other customer, so I am sorry that your experience was to much unpleasant for you. Best regards Gabriela & Hanif the owners
