Also called as the Rampuria hotel by the locals this is a well-preserved haveli located within the old walled city. It quite close to the 2 temples within the city walls and a short walk to the railway station area where the market is located. Haveli itself is well-preserved. The living room and the reading room are preserved as is... More

Stayed at the Bhanwar Niwas for one night as we explored the city. The room was huge, high ceilings, antique furniture and a large, comfortably firm bed. The location is great - nestled within the old city walls and a short stroll from the spice markets and large Jain temple. The rooms open out onto the picturesque courtyard which was... More

The restored haveli is a national monument. The rooms are large, airy and very clean. Our ground floor room opened into a large courtyard that was peaceful and relaxing to sit in and enjoy a drink. The hotel staff were very courteous, the service was good and nothing was too much trouble. Ask to visit the roof of the hotel... More

The hotel is in the very center of Bikaner and is hosted in a very nice structure. Unfortunately for us, our two rooms were pretty bad. Far from being clean yet just acceptable, they were extremely cold and same goes for the bathrooms. At least we could get warm water after 5 minutes with tap fully open. Overall not a... More

Very well maintained heritage hotel. Like a mini Versailles. Luxurious. Takes you back in time. Italian,French and Rajasthani style. The food was average though. The only two negatives I could see was the accessibility(through very narrow roads) and the quality of food.

As you enter Bikaner city, the hotel staff suggests you meet a designated auto driver who will direct you to the haveli. While following him, you traverse the narrowest roads imaginable, jostle for space with cows, scooters, rickshaws, pedestrians and little kids. You almost decide to start looking for alternative accommodation. But then you arrive. One step into this haveli... More

The place was so overwhelming and I took more than an hour clicking my camera. The service was great. A staff invited me to the roof top to view the neighbourhood. He saw me clicking away and thought that it would be great for me to visit the roof top. This was very nice of him. The staffs at the... More

Nice place. Been there today with family... There is no regular restaurant.... You need to intimate and pre book....Plan for a brunch in winters in the veranda or the courtyard. Approach is bad ...avoid own transport .. Sedans or SUVs... Better to park near Lalji and take an Auto. In case planning to stay ...there is Ltd space to park.

One of the grandest Havelis in Bikaner, Bhanwar Niwas is a wonderful place to stay! It was completed in 1927 for Bhanwarlalji Rampuria and is still owned by the Rampuria family, who live on the top floor of the Haveli. The architecture is an interesting mix of Indian and European styles and the Haveli is made from beautiful pink sandstone.... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated inside the walled city of Bikaner is Bhanwar Niwas, the grandest of the famed havelis belonging to the Rampuria family. Bhanwar Niwas is a tribute and testimony to the skill and craftsmanship of the artisans of Bikaner. Completed in 1927 for Bhanwarlalji Rampuria, heir to a textile and real estate fortune, Bhanwar Niwas reflects the fashionable tastes of the 1920's, a taste for formal and well ordered luxury with modern conveniences of the time. The architecture of the haveli is a fascinating mix of Indian and European styles. On the ground floor are the public rooms including the Blue Drawing Room and the Little Drawing Room. For your palate we serve delectable vegetarian food in the magnificent Dining Hall. ... more   less
