I and my wife enjoyed a night stay in the mud house just to have a winter feel in desert. It was a cosy and wonderful stay. The home made meal was a great treat. Jeep ride with Mr. Yogendra took us on highest sand dune which is unforgettable.

My friend and I stayed here for a few nights in the spacious dorm. The owner Yogi is a very friendly guy, who can tell you a lot about Bikaner (don't miss out on that). Everyone is very nice here, especially the cook, who showed me how to make proper rotis - and there is always a cup of tea waiting for you. It feels more like staying with a family than in a hostel, which was great. The dorm room is on the top floor, you have a great few over Bikaner and the desert, which you can even enjoy while brushing your teeth. There is hot water in buckets, which is not uncommon in India, and you have both western and indian bathrooms available. Yogi has a camel safari business as well and a huge camp outside Bikaner, which he showed me - thanks for that! Since Bikaner is not too touristy, you might have the whole dorm for yourself, so don't expect to meet to many other travelers. But for us, that was an advantage, since we had met so many people all the time, we enjoyed to hang out with locals and did some crazy things as becoming extras in a bollywood movie, which was filmed at the palace..again thanks to Yogi ;) Best wishes to you, I hope to meet you again, Leona!

We were in a friends group. We stayed in the Bikaner Youth Hostel for 2 days and 1 night. Bikaner was a part of our Rajasthan Tour in October 2010. We booked the Youth Hostel rooms 2 months before the actual arrival date. We were provided with 4 bedded rooms. The hotel stay was more like a hostel stay..food was also provided at extra charge.
