Linchu Ayurvedic resort we stayed there for 2 night and 3 days. The main reason was it had pool and beach is near to it that is kovalam beach. It dint have room service as it was off-season time in june. The rooms were okay, had AC. There is also a cafe in the resort which provides good food so that you can enjoy your food at the poolside. The resort was a good decision for the trip.

I never thought that an ayurvedic place or an ayurvedic doctor would resort to abusing old folks. My husband and I are in our 60s and we returned today after attending a 21 day ayurvedic treatment at the Linchu Ayurvedic Resort also known as Dr. Nisha’s Vedic Remedies on the recommendation of a local ayurvedic doctor based in Singapore. The cost of per day of treatment and stay is as follows: a. Treatment per day – Rs. 1800 (for any type of ailment and for all treatments) b. Room rent – Rs. 1400 per day c. Breakfast – Rs. 80 (all meals are part of the treatment as dietary control is an important factor in ayurvedic treatments) d. Lunch –Rs. 120 e. Dinner –Rs. 80 f. Mineral water: Rs. 20 per bottle We had a grueling time in the resort and it was a nightmare under the hands of an uncouth doctor in a unhygienic setting. For our 21 day stay at the resort, they were given a room where the bathroom door would not close. The room was infected with mosquitoes, spiders, cockroaches and red ants. The air-conditioning and the television had multiple breakdowns which they were slow to rectify. For some reason, there is no stand-by generator for the power-cuts in Kerala. Do not be deceived by the photographs on this website. For an establishment that was promoting health, the food was cooked in really unhygienic environment. This is something someone else had pointed out in the reviews too. The food was brought to the rooms in a trolley which they kept open at the mercy of anything that could fall into it on the way to the room. When my husband complained and asked them to cover the food, we were scolded by the manager and Dr. Nisha for being fussy! The teapots and teacups are stained and look like they have not been cleaned in years. When we asked the cook to wash the utensils they were told off and told that they should not be fussy and that it was perfectly clean. Dr. Nisha runs the ayurvedic resort and came in late mornings and at irregular timings making it difficult to meet her. All requests and feedback can only be given to her. She yelled and shouted at my husband and me throughout our stay whenever we brought up any of the above-mentioned issues. We were intimidated with Dr. Nisha’s vulgar behavior and speech. But my husband was too petrified to leave the resort as we were in the middle of the treatment. My husband had gone there for his knee pain treatment and within a few days his legs swelled up and they said they will resolve it with a treatment with herbs that ended up getting his legs infected and skin turning black. Dr. Nisha told him that all ayurvedic treatments worsen the current health situation before making it better and that if they left halfway, it would harm them more. I cut my treatment short with an excuse deciding to risk it while my father soldiered on. Unfortunately, the treatment did not help my husband and he has returned needing medical attention. Please avoid this resort on all grounds and the doctor. There are plenty of good ayurvedic resorts in Kerala and it’s best to do a thorough search before going down. I will be happy to provide you with more details if you need it.

Reached the resort quite late, but the management made the arrangements quickly. They gave us an AC room, right near the swimming pool. The resort had free wifi as well. The stay was quite comfortable and the quality of sleep was good.
