The currency crisis made us change our plans significantly during our month in India so this place was not on our original list. It was recommended to us by another homestay and it was an absolute treasure to visit for five nights. Anu and 'Mummy' were excellent hosts and provided a most peaceful, restful environment. The food was varied and...

My husband and I had been travelling around India for nearly three weeks and were absolutely exhausted. This final stay before flying back to the UK was just perfect. We read, were taken up the backwater in a punt every evening to see the sunset, visited a local village, watched all the houseboats and fishermen ply up and down the...

After long haul and a week of inter travel,we arrived here to realise that transfer to the island/hotel was via a punt/canoe.It was utterly blissful here with a very warm and genuine welcome,a superb villa and food to die for cooked in house. It was just divine to sit in the front porch and watch life of every kind go past.The...

We really liked the stay at this farm house. This is one of the best stay in a resort. Hospitality should be learned from the owners of this farm. Really great service and traditional items from kitchen. An amazing place to taste Kerala dishes...

We stayed at Philipkutty's for 3 nights and what an experience it was. Right from the moment we arrived, we were looked after so well. The villa was tastefully furnished, well maintained & retained the typical architecture of Kerala. Al fresco breakfast, lunch & dinner was the norm. The food was amazing - I'm of Kerala/Tamilnadu origin & I can...

Tastefully furnished cottages with lots of windows and doors to take in views of the backwaters and the farm and coconut trees. Anu and Mummy are excellent hosts and the food is is organic and tasty at each meal. All the staff are pleasant and welcoming. Watching the sunset over the chinese fishing nets from their wooden country boat is...

Idyllic farm on a man made island in the Kumarakom lake. Anu and her family run this upmarket homestay with 6 perfect traditional villas, excellent home cooked meals and lots of kindness. We enjoyed hiring small boats and rowing around in the lake and then come back to sumptuous authentic Kerala meals . Highly recommended.

Easily the best place we stayed at in Kerala. Philip Kutty's farm is a haven of peace and relaxation. The property is built on an island (need to get there by boat) and the six villas are built traditional style. We were two families travelling together, so we had a set of two villas with a large living room adjoining....

We stayed as a couple for 4 nights in April 2016. We only had an idea by reading TA what to expect. Cottages are great, superbly fitted out with quality fittings, and Mummy and Annu made us feel very welome. Meals are taken around a large round table in a seperate dining area from the main house. They are just...

Excellent rooms, in a lovely setting. Food excellent and nice to sit with a communal group of people and hear stories from their trip. Sunset boat ride a must and Farm walk worth while. Only draw back is there is little else to do, so 1 night probably enough.
