Lovely place to stay as the hotel is a perfect place to relax with soothing live music in the evening. The staff are very helpful and courteous. Food is good. Excellant location, near to the beach and most historical sites. Ideal place to stay.

Friendly and charming. Lovely staff. A little oasis after a busy day. Food delicious and good selection on good local wines. The courtyard with leafy shade, beautiful plants and a pleasant pool is a beautiful setting for dinner accompanied by local musicians

My wife and I loved this hotel. The historic property has been re-furbished as a semi-luxury hotel featuring quirky bold colour schemes. We were upgraded to an upstairs suite with 2 balconies, one with a hanging ottoman and the other overlooking the leafy central courtyard. Bamboo blinds ensured complete privacy and gave the room another dimension. We ate in the... More

It was a memorable occasion for me as I was on a date with my girlfriend and had come to Malabar Junction for dinner. It was exceptional to see the Front Office staff Merlin and Sojan, they were very helpful and very polite and were very much willing to help as I wanted a transportation back and they helped me... In addition to the lovely setting, the food was simply made in heaven. We had many dishes to share but what I mostly loved was the mahi-mahi baked in banana leaves. We had the opportunity to taste a white indian wine which was also a pleasant surprise. In summary, if you are not already staying at the Malabar hotel, don't... More

A very nicely maintained and prim restaurant. Although reservations had to be made in advance, staff was courteous to check and let us in. Large seating space and good dining area. We went on Monday night for dinner, live Carnatic music and great ambience. Food was delicious and tasty, combo offers were nice. Staff was courteous and polite, definitely recommended.... More

Three weeks in India living in everything from 1 star to 5 star and this was one of the most refreshing, relaxing and enjoyable stays of the trip. Front staff were easy to deal with, room was very nice and actually cleaned properly. We only ate at the lounge bar, but there was enough to keep us fed to a... More

Very beautiful and charming hotel in an ancient house in the heart of Fort Kochi. Everything was perfect from the decoration of the rooms to the quality of the restaurant. Also the place to taste surprising Indian wines. On the top of it, very friendly staff. We highly recommend the place.

Here are the positives and mostly negatives as I start to lose my will to live at Malabar House: -Nicely appointed lead in room (deluxe), large with plenty of space for bags. -Nice looking property; -Staff are polite and friendly; -Food was generally nice in restaurant for breakfast and dinner. -Relatively large bathroom but instead of fitting a bath, they... Like most, we arrived into Kochi late at night and opted to take a pre-paid taxi to the Malabar House. Since it is a boutique hotel, the driver had to make a few calls for directions, but it didn't pose major delays in getting us to the hotel. After weaving through narrow streets, we arrived at the beautifully lit grounds... More
