Short 10 minute walk to shops/cafes. Rooms were clean and comfy and the air conditioning worked well. The service was really great and the staff were very friendly. The whole place had a very relaxing vibe and was quiet at night.

This property was a monastery, and is located on the same property as the Bishop's House (a museum). As such, there is a certain charm to it, but it is very basic. No outdoor area, no common sitting area to speak of, and the dining room could be any school cafeteria anywhere. But, it is within easy walking distance of...

No signboards directing us to the place so finding it was a bit of a problem. Within the rooms, maintenance in toilets was not upto the mark. Jet spray in the toilet came off in my hand. No intercom so had to walk along very long corridors to go to reception and find someone to give service. if this is...

I had an amazing time during my stay in this quaint but cool hotel. The room was nice and comfy and the service was also quite good. Mr. Anto was quite knowledgeable and very forthcoming in his assistance for many things such as taxi bookings, backwater ride packages, etc. The other staff, in particular Nirmala and Mala, were also very...

This hotel is owned and run by a religious organisation. It is clean, the people are friendly but it is old and needs some serious maintenance. Not entirely suited to westerners unless you are on a strict budget. Close to everything and some nice walks and parks in the area. We should have gone a bit more upmarket but this...

Longing for some peace and solitude in your travels in Southern India? We found Gama Heritage a tranquil spot, although very basic in accommodations. Once a convent, Gama Heritage not only has the outside grounds to isolate itself from neighboring noise, but has enough rooms to have its guests fairly separate from one another, too. (None of the typical business...

We stayed here with a tour group through G adventures and it was one of my favorites! The staff were very nice and the rooms were roomy and clean. They did smell a bit musty and it seemed the hot water didn't always work but overall it was a great hotel. They were more than accommodating and if I were...

We stayed here 2 nights, the first and the last night of our Beaches & Backwaters tour. The hotel is comfortable and clean and in a nice location in Fort Cochin. The staff are kind, friendly and very helpful. It was everything we needed!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The last of the heritage trilogy is the Gama Heritage. The name itself is synonymous with its Portuguese connection that is related to Vasco De Gama. The resort takes us to a bygone era, which witnessed a huge change in the historical as well as the cultural scenario of Kerala. The architecture of Kerala also saw a significant transformation with the foreign connections coming in. This is evident from the structural designs of Bishops house of Kochi Diocese and the Indo-Portuguese museum as well and its located inside the bishop house, Fort Cochin. The location is very quiet and calm atmosphere and walkable distance to the beach (2 min), Chinese fishing net(4min). Friendly people, homely atmosphere, 24-hr service with better facilities. ... more   less
