Some 7 of us ( family and friends ) visited the hotel for dinner last weekend . Although not quite alfresco , the sides of the large dining hall were entirely open providing a soothing view of the vast expanse of greenery on which the hotel sits . In the heart of the town too ! A sight for sore... More

This is a heritage hotel in a historic building and as such is lovely. Although hotel is not terribly well maintained, the price is right. Would go again for an affordable option, but not for it's luxury. Restaurant is good.

We visited this place during a family wedding at the lawns of this Hotel. The building is more than a century old. A large Hall with open areas adjacent to it are decorated and transformed into a Wedding Venue. Two standard rooms are allotted, one each for the families of the bride and the groom in the hotel premises. The... More

Everything is available. The AC, the geyser, the kettle, etc. But nothing works. The staff is all run by the mill ordinary, untrained people. The bathroom is dirty infested with cockroaches. The water comes in a trickle. The hot water stinks of rust. Everything around the hotel is vintage. Not at all worth for the money paid. A complete eye-wash... More

The hotel is spread over a vast stretch of land. Difficult to imagine such a huge space not far from downtown. The person at the reception appeared to be fresher and was at a loss to retrieve our booking. Also at check out he was struggling though room had already been paid in advance. Generally the staff appeared to be... More

Accidentally barged into the facility. It was less crowded than most of the hotels on a Saturday afternoon. The food was mediocre but the ambiance was excellent. Very rare at least in the heart of the city one can experience lunch in a restaurant that is at most disturbed only by chirping of the birds.

On arrival, it appeared that our rooms had to been cleaned. There was hair in the bathtub and the shower mat was dirty. The hot water boiler dripped onto the toilet roll and surrounding areas. The bathroom was small with insufficient bench space to leave toiletries and place clean clothes. We requested an extra mattress but did not use it... More

Stayed one night for transit on 08-Dec. Very dirty room and poor service. No concept of reception and no front office concept. Dinner was pathetic and no service at all. May be the worst service due to my booking through makemytrip.com. But will never stay again.

We stayed at the jayamahal for a friends wedding. If there's one thing that the jayamahal does well, it's weddings. Fantastic wedding with great decorations and food. The rooms on the other hand were extremely basic and dirty. We found our room with a wad of hair in the shower drain and dirty sheets and pillows. We had to ask... More
